Hondas! Love them.. Ive got a running CB550 that is an awesome bike to work on.. Just did the carb sync and set the tappets.. New plugs and she is running like a spring chicken. I have a CB400 thats in the project line.. Can't wait for the next episode.
Well I feel compelled to say that , with Ducati my chosen bike / ride from more than a few decades, the Honda 500 four was among my short list of choice to rebuild before I saw this material. I am not a bike builder , just have a list of bikes I'd like to see remade. Another on the list is the Laverda Jota.
Damn old honest Dave’s even got the covid tax! I bought an XS650 off him for $650! Tough times out there. Looking forward to the series.. especially the seat 😜
These old Honda 4's and twins are brilliant fun to build. I've built numerous including a 350/4, cb200 twin, cb175 twin. David silver spares in the UK still have a reasonable supply of parts for them
This project is interesting timing for me, considering I recently acquired an early CB750....... I look forward to your sober assessment of the project. I also have my first bike, a,CB350 twin in need of a full resto...... Which way would you guys jump?
You bloody ripper! Give me some more bike building goodness!!
Enjoying the series.
This was such a fun project to capture. I hope you all froth it
Awesome! I just finished my 21 years project, started off with a I thought was a great bike and found the motor was damaged and had to be replaced.
Old bikes are always full of surprises

Got to love honest Dave ❤❤❤
He’s a national treasure
You will always get what you want if you offer what it’s worth
Don’t low ball 👍
We see the value in building long lasting relationships, not just buying and selling bikes
This is sick!!
Top episode. Great story to watch unfold! Can't wait for the next one!
Looking forward to seeing the progress. Love your work Tom!
Loving this. The 500 4 was a great bike back in the day but very underrated. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
The 500s and 550s are our favourites too. Great proportions, well powered and nimble
Looks like a good project keen to see how they fix this one up!

Luckily parts aren’t too hard to find for these bikes.
Ahhhh honest Dave ❤

If it’s your first restoration project I would check out the 350 first. Simple little motors and a lot cheaper to rebuild.
That’s my pop
We love visiting Dave’s shed!
Yewww
So they are all ticketed mec/builders / ect ???
