I feel bad that I never stay awake for the end of the story at bedtime. Lol. That is a testament to Michelle's talent! I sometimes get to hear the entire video when I listen to them for a daytime meditation or relaxation break.
I made it juust inside the cabin, then I must have dozed off haha. I don't often ever hear the endings because you are one of the only people I actually/consistently fall asleep to. Sometimes it's hard tho cuz I want to stay awake to listen! 🥰🤭

Oh boy howdy, this’ll probably remind of ol’friend Bill’s A-frame “down east ME” years-ago; no electric, no phones, no running water aside from the stream. We did fill a plastic sun-heated outdoor shower container which set atop a rock out behind, cooked on portable propane cookers and campfires, battery-everything-else. We’d DX baseball games from all over the US on AM radio bouncing high and far off Earth’s Van Allen Belts -sometimes even from Mexico! Went to Belfast and Camden a lot, Cadillac Mtn., Bill played violin, I played guitar, dad stomped his feet. In between we’d share stories for further entertainment.
Lovely. Your voice and pacing and way with words have changed my awareness of how I stop and appreciate so many moments throughout my days. Finding words I’ve only learned about through your stories. I really love and appreciate how your scenes have become so dreamy and cozy and have just enough of a glow to keep my room feeling like I’m fully inside the story. I’m the opposite of an off grid cabin person and absolutely loved this!

Yes, Kelly, Michelle’s lexicon of euphonious English within her stories help regulate the surrendered listener’s mind. Reading Ben Franklin’s, and Mark Twain’s prose affect me this same way; more contemporaneous writers I adore reading for aesthetics (and for insight) are the ‘bon vivant-generalist’ Christopher Hitchens (RIP), and now retired political/historical essayist George Will. Michelle’s style of storytelling waxes slightly poetic in terms of meter, alliteration, and cadence, ‘soft oratory,’ as it were. Lyricism and song crafting probably paved Michelle’s thought paths from childhood, no doubt, as patterned formulas before imaginations inspire new settings and plots for our enjoyment. She’s definitely been on a creative roll this year. She’s plenty of scribbled fodder now to branch off, to create some ‘next trend’ or unexplored established avenues like novels, children’s literature, or drama/screenplay writing. I do believe her to be of genius intelligence (135-150+), but without data required for logic/maths, she still must be among the top 10th-percentile of regular intelligence scores.
This was so very timely. I just spent a night in a cabin in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Unfortunately, rustic there also meant ice-dirty, refrozen ice from a recent snow event. How I wish that place could have been this cabin! Thank you, Michelle, for a wonderful story this week.
I’d like to comment on your new story. But I haven’t heard it since I pass out just around the start of it. Twice. Woke up once to hear ending music. I do remember a phrase I should be proud of my independence and a cast iron tub and a cat but no shoulder. That was from second time which turned out to be unexpected nap. So I guess it’s a damn good soporific.
You can always skip ahead with chapters or listen on the podcast. I appreciate the listeners who care about my ability to support myself and keep this channel growing. And sponsors do that.
