I got one heck of a education on this one Andy. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy all you do and appreciate your constant video's of real life farm life. God Bless
Been a big rebuild on the combine. Hopefully another five years or so of great service for you. Always interesting to watch you do your magic. Can't wait to see the tractor put back together. Should look good and again many years of service. You guys stay safe and warm.
I grew up on a farm in NE KS, we did a lot of milo or sorghum in our area instead of corn. At the time it would stand up to the dry and hot conditions better than corn. I was not exposed to corn head repair work. I would like to see the springs you replaced cleaned up and explain why replacing them is needed. If they are just augering grease up to the top it seems like they could hardly be damaged by that. I did not watch real close but if you did not at least wipe the majority of that old grease out I think you are shooting yourself in the foot in a way. Kind of like changing engine oil but not the filters. Thanks for the videos!
I’m going to say the price of parts on the combine is equal to the amount of 2 payments on a new combine. The crawler looks to be in decent shape from what was shown in the dark. I’m sure Jared will get the 8120 figured out. It’s always something when you do a project of that caliber.
I’m guessing $42k in repairs… you might have rolled the corner of that bushing when you pounded it in… it’s why the shaft with the spring went in so hard and the other one dropped in… hopefully the shaft doesn’t hold to it and spin the bushing but think you checked that
Andy careful don't get your new outfit greasy noticed you must have your new Christmas pants, hoodie even hat on.....bet those springs were different prices too and was almost same !!
Axe makes a heavy duty engine stand that will outlive Jared and has a wheel yo allow the block to rotate....Used them exclusively as a diesel engine builder
Yeah at first of mentioning on the springs you mentioned them on wrong sides. Then you caught yourself on you flipped it. Good thing you caught it then and not when you was editing this video😅😂 I am sure some bad words would have been made at the computer screen editing. Followed by taking them apart again 😂 another good thing about videos is you can look back on them if necessary.
I hear you there. I only ask because it didn't seem like there was as much for puddles on the shop floor. I'll send you a picture tomorrow I might have something you're interested in, but it comes down to time being the problem again
I have machines like that. I bet $50.😅. Doug Maddox, a California dairyman once said “ a million dollars here, a million dollars there and pretty soon you’re talking real money!🤣
You do a fantastic job of maintaining your equipment
$19,750 In parts, thanks Andy for the videos and you do not talk too much. Enjoy the commentary and humor you share
Another great video, Andy. My guess is that it costs. Mucho dollars. And it's always nice to see Alex. She always has a nice smile.
Muchos dólares, una apuesta segura.
Quite the busy Video Andy.
Thanks Much...
Awesome video. Thanks Florida Joe😊
Old Steve gets around for sure, like on a comment I read I also saw where he hauled corn for Wes awhile ago! I enjoyed the video Andy.

The field time and miles you put on your equipment runs up quickly. Year round work things will ware out.
I got one heck of a education on this one Andy.

$31k in repairs that was a very nice video of the repair im not a farmer and was always wondering what the inside of a combine looked liked thank you
I am guessing of course but I would say in the 45k to 50k range, on the combine but it is cheaper than a new by far!
Excellent job on the combine project.

I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ANDY 😊
Another great video, I’d say 25grand In Parts on that combine.
I’d guess ball park 35k on the repair on the combine. Still way cheaper then a new one or even a slightly used one.
Congratulations on finishing the combine, Andy! Somewhere around $30,000.
Great video. I am thinking Sarah needs to build her big brother a new engine stand. :)
Corn head is going to be like new. A lot of work, but you know what you have now . Stay safe !
What about the bushings and seal on the shafts to the snap rollers?
Great content. Always enjoy watching you do repairs and fabrications. Jared is an excellent diesel mechanic. I’d guess $35,000 in repairs
Good job finishing the combine Andy, my guess on parts is $42,300
Good content Andy
62k with your labor # in 😮
Nice job on combine Andy, I'm guessing somewhere between $60,000 & 70,000 on parts

Nice tease with the trailer and what Steve brought you. Look forward to hearing what it is.
Always enjoy learning with your videos.
Thank you.
Great information on corn head repair. What’s the difference between blue spring and red one?
Left and right…clock wise and counterwise
We have the same combine here in Alberta, guessing $27000.00 in parts
Thanks Andy for the video love watching them.
Question do the square plates on the gearbox not have a bushing also?.
Yes they have a bushing in the base. Those don’t usually ever wear.
Thanks Andy for the response. Not a farmer but interested in engineering.
Regards
Alan
Tks for sharing. Hope the crank ain't scored up to bad on Jerard CAT motor. Alex didn't hang out to long. She just hustle right though. Lol..
She was on a mission
I would say you have alot less than a new one and probably will last alot longer than a new on also!! 👍👍
Great video I have a question do you need to time the rolls after having it apart.?
Yes you would have to if you split the front half of the gear box but in this case we didn’t do that
@@FarmingFixingFabricating thanks I have never had one apart yet
I would say between $30.000 to $35.000 grand in New parts for the combine.
I’m guessing $42k in repairs… you might have rolled the corner of that bushing when you pounded it in… it’s why the shaft with the spring went in so hard and the other one dropped in… hopefully the shaft doesn’t hold to it and spin the bushing but think you checked that
Andy , was there some wear on that left shaft ? It went in much easier than the right side, tks for showing us this !
love your SOUTHERN accent....up in hey-aaa
It should run like a brand new one. 😅
Andy careful don't get your new outfit greasy noticed you must have your new Christmas pants, hoodie even hat on.....bet those springs were different prices too and was almost same !!
Excited to see that tractor in action. What will it’s main use be?
Well, the parts must come to $86,753.09. Right, Jenny?
Hello!
Are they wore out because of age or doing high moisture corn?
How many hours on your combine?
Andy just curious do you happen to keep the shop heated all winter long and all through the fall?
Axe makes a heavy duty engine stand that will outlive Jared and has a wheel yo allow the block to rotate....Used them exclusively as a diesel engine builder
my guess ~$40,000.00, nice job by the way.
Andy. Was that a new crawler he delivered?
$13,750 in parts/supplies only. Double that in labor & welding, for a grand total of $41,250
👍
Hi Andy, great job on the combine. My guess on the parts is, $24,875.
Yeah at first of mentioning on the springs you mentioned them on wrong sides. Then you caught yourself on you flipped it. Did you ever rebuild the lift cylinders on your Clark?
No I haven’t, it needs a bearing on the steer axle as well…. Can’t afford to lay it up
I hear you there. I only ask because it didn't seem like there was as much for puddles on the shop floor. I'll send you a picture tomorrow I might have something you're interested in, but it comes down to time being the problem again

Doug Maddox, a California dairyman once said “ a million dollars here, a million dollars there and pretty soon you’re talking real money!🤣
Here in Illinois that statement is attributed to our 1960's US Senator Everett Dirksen. It is a for sure statement.
Combine repair total. $18500
Much work got done again. My guess is around 16k - lowball it ;)
$ 37,584.27 my fingers do the walking...Great Vid🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍👍🌽🌽🌽🌽
I have already submitted my real figure estimate on combine, sarcastic figure 2 billion dollars 💵
15k is my guess on the combine parts
8 grand just for the 3 gearboxes
Try to get a seal with a metal shield
JIM 🎉
Trump Corn this year? I loved the last one!
About 45,000 in parts
header repair cost: $1500 in parts
I’d say 45,000 in parts on the combine.
7 Grand on combine repairs plus labor.
Putting a lot of work into that Cat engine, just to send it to scrap. 😂😂
🇨🇦
16889.00 combine parts cost
