Here are some OTHER costumes Adam Savage costumes that he hasn't made himself: th-cam.com/video/49xYK0U1gfc/w-d-xo.html
Adam really needs to do a video about how he cleans and maintains his costumes like totoro, this suit, space suits, props, etc.
That's the most f'ed up captain America I've ever seen
The detail on the Star 🌟 😗👌🤝 Well done sir.
Адам, прошу, добавь суптитры на русском. Они нам очень нужны!
@Bill of Rights yeah, all 15% of you 😆
I have to say, even after all this time, Adam's enthusiasm is STILL my favorite part of these vids.
I agree. Sometimes I watch just to get cheered up.
Uh...Captain "Savage" sounds way better than Captain "America". Just sayin'
The garment bag for the Civil War suit we did was labeled CPT SAVAGE
Sounds pretty millennial
And saying it sounds millennial, sounds ridiculous!
But there is a problem with calling him Captain Savage. There's already a Marvel character named that. Could you imagine hearing the major comic nerds flipping out over that? Lmao
"That's Captain America not Captain Savage, blah blah blah....." Haha
Awww dude!!! Great Idea!!! He ought to make his own "Captain Savage" Suit!!!
@@passthebs.1341 yeah he most definitely needs to make a Captain Savage suit. I can't believe he hasn't thought of it yet. He might and us not know it.
Caps suit is my favorite modernized super hero suit. It looks tactical without looking corny while still fits his “America” image.
I agree. This suit design and the design in Civil War in particular are up there with the Raimi era Spider-Man suits in terms of perfectly adapted costumes that manage to be grounded and authentic while still retaining the core aspects that make the original iconic.
Agreed.
I love the way Adam looks in that suit: Grizzled veteran who's seen it all, called out for one last mission, he knows he's too old for this [stuff], but he's the only one who can do the job. God, I would so watch that movie...
Some alternate universe captain like somethin outta spiderverse lol
Maybe we can get one with old man cap
Illusory Bucket Into the Captainverse?
Like The Dark Knight Returns, but in a Cap setting.
I think one of the characters in Black Widow is this concept.
Chris Evans : I really liked my costume in the movie .. It was really cool.
Adam : Hold my infinity gauntlet.
It's so much fun to watch 3 very passionate people geeking out over something, regardless of the topic...
Slapping a Leatherman Wave in one of those belt pouches was all I could think about the first time watching this through. That costume is sweet!
What astounding craftsmanship. I'm in awe looking at all of the stitching and work. When he said that the metal-colored bits had to be sized for this fit I was even more shocked than I already was, it underscored just how much thought had to go into it.
It's so sweet they knew Adam would want to weather it. Always assume he's going to "ruin" whatever you give him :P
HOLY CRAP! KEVIN & ROB Did such an amazing job on this!!!
Thanks man!
I get so stoked by two guys who clearly have outdone themselves and their craft. Pointing out all the details and varied methods. For this Adam dude who knows well enough what it means in terms of understanding and abilities.
Truly excellent.
@@glacieractivity that means a lot!!
Now where can we get one ... and how much
@@rickwebb769 reach out to us via Facebook message! Link is in the description
Ok am I getting old or has the content gotten better in like the last 2 months!?
That's not a dichotomy. ;-)
well end of last year adam said he plans more time in the cave and more builds, and that’s what we got. I like it a lot.
If Adam Savage ever reads this here's my question: How many cosplay/costumes do you own in total? Also, as a comment, I love your videos! I have learned much especially in the area of tools and use of said tools & techniques.
Nether enough
omg i want a like 4 hour tour of all his costumes
i think he showed his cave or m5 costume collection once. It took up at least a full floor of racks.
The Tested channel just posted a pinned comment on this video, right after you asked this. It has a list of Adam's costumes that ge hasn't made. It's not complete, but its something...
Adam I would love to thank you, the tested team for this video, this is my favorite costume of all time in the MCU and I just can’t with this video 😍😭
Glad you love it!
This is so validating, as an engineer who focuses more on the mechanical and space side of things everyone always expects you to be a huge Ironman fan. In reality Cap has an awesome costume too with it’s own things to nerd out about. Excited for the 10th anniversary of this film next year! 🥳
Awesome work ❤️
It's always so wholesome and beautiful the way Adam reacts to these things, and I love it
Movie logic: A "stealthy" suit with a big, shiny silver stripe across the chest.
@@Bothorth 10/10 Robber outfit
catfish552 You could say the same to classic Batman, all black and then that glowing yellow Bat symbol and utility belt lol.
@@holyflame2 its a bit different because he has metal plating made from the gun the killed his parents so its kinda like a intended target but for stealth its gotta suck lol
Well it's stealthy compared to his usual one that includes copious amounts of red and white.
"Nice Cap Suit!"
"Thanks! It has pockets!"
Every woman knows this convo, lol
@Jhonny Gutierrez Villa Nah bro
We need another shop tour, great costume btw!
7:48 yes we need more pockets!!!!!! Someone finally understands.
I wear pants, don't care men's or women's, whatever fits. I understand the NEED for pockets in women's pants. Like cool can fit..half my hand sometimes.
My Jedi outfit has the benefit of including a simple pair of polyester tan pants, with the pockets well hidden by the tunic. I can carry a wallet and keys like normal. I also have a pouch for my belt, so I can carry said wallet, keys, and even a cell phone in it without breaking the appearance of my outfit. So, if you choose a cosplay well, you can have such conveniences.
So buy clothes with pockets. If the demand was really there then women's clothes would have pockets
The demand exists, my theory is cahoots to sell purses for way too much. Also men's clothing is usually boring or a generic ripoff of what's been recently released. Whoever is in charge of making and selling clothing has yet to make majority both stylish and functional. Men's is basic but usually durable with pockets. Women get updates but usually flimsy and bullshit storage.
As another Cap Cosplayer, Seeing Adam in costume kept a smile on my face I couldn't rid myself of. Suit looks great!
These guys have a lot of personality! You can tell they're passionate about their work, and Adam has the skills to bring that out of them on camera! Great job to all
Thank you! Cap is definitely one of our favorites! We've been working on Cap pieces for around 4-5 years now and love it
Thank you! It can definitely be overwhelming, especially in that setting and never really being on camera before. We gave it our best though!
I love the moment where the guys reveal the helmet, and you can tell Adam completely forgets he's on camera. It's no longer an interview at that point. So good!
Jordan really outside himself with that one
That childlike reaction when Adam is getting into something like this suit is always so heartening to see. He gets so damned exciting and it is infectious!
Just met Adam at C2E2 and my god was he a class act and so down to earth. We were the LAST people in line, and was a worried he might be pretty worn out but no he was just as nice as I always imagined if not more
Winter Soldier is my favourite Marvel movie and it was what made Captain America my fav Avenger ... or at least Chris Evan's portrayal of him. I must have seen Winter Soldier like 20 times by now. This suit loots epic wish I had one ... might have to look into cosplaying winter soldier cap some time soon ... Adam & tested you guys make some of the best youtube content there is. Keep up the great work.
Adam doesn't need to dress up to be a hero. He's just that good.
Adam, the design of dresses has evolved of late! Wedding dresses sometimes have pockets now - it's a HUGE selling point.
I just noticed the Mythbusters metal plate in the back! Nostalgia incoming
That happens like 5 times in every vid...
He's got so much recognizable crap, its like playing eye spy when the camera pans.
@@thegenerousdegenerate9395 i know right! That's awesome! Keep an eye out for more!
Adam needs a talking stick for these guys to hold. LoL. One at a time!
Hahahaha that's fair 😂 we're working on it
Was looking for this comment lol
26:58 for if your wondering what's so neat about this , the money shot, that is not a WOVEN fabric that's screen printing sitting ON fabric with DEPTH
As an avid fan of Agents of Shield, my favorite part is the patch on the arm.
The Grunt in me loves that people don't want to carry around an eight to nine pound shield and are excited about stretchy fabric. I always thought caps costume looked super comfortable even if made out of codura... I would sleep in it like pajamas. Keep it up guys, I love this kind of content.
This is one of my favorite things ever!! I cant even explain how much glee it fills me up with! This video is pure perfection!
The combination of my favorite nerd/hero (Savage) and my favorite hero/nerd (Cpt. America) is the most glorious things, + the added bonus of the best Cap movie prop damn near brings tears to my eyes! This was so great to watch and is gonna be added to my rainy day playlist because this truly is the best thing ever.
The craftmanship is beautiful and has opened my eyes to new techniques. There is no bad point at all during this watch. 10 stars all around plus the bonus stars on Cap's suit!
12:41
We have a leather working side-gig and recently bought a Sailrite Fabricator! That thing is the business!
The thumbnail gave me a great idea! They need to do a middle-aged Captain America set in the 70's where the Cap puts the suit back on to rescue an American pilot from the Vietcong.
It happened in the comics except with a younger Captain.
Those two need to learn how to tag team their conversations. 😂😂😂
Yeah... We're new to video 😂😂 the cave is a bit overwhelming 😂
Yeah, we stepped on each other a couple times 😆
Reaaaady... FIGHT! LOL
Nah they hit their stride once the giddy wore off. Honestly I'd look like a squirrel in the Jiffy factory if I was ever invited in there. There would be 0 decorum and not a hope of containment. Cameras be damned, they'd be calling security.
@@robertfitch1625 I bet. Talk about a kid in a candy store. I'd be running around bugeyed, wanting to touch everything. 😄😄😄
All of that is accurate when we weren't in camera 😂
The Stealth Suite is definitely my favorite Captain America look from the MCU for sure
I love how excited Adam Savage gets when seeing/getting new "toys" I'd like to see his collection and show a few pieces from mine, I think he'd really like my hand carved hardwood spiked mace, its very old and very obviously made completely via hand tools :) Keep up the great work and the constant interests Adam Savage, we all love you and many of us (Myself included) want to work in the scientific fields because of your impact... I sincerely thank you for what you've achieved and done with you life, for my growth and the growth of others
We salute you Captain MythBuster
"If anybody wants to get out of the elevator *Now's* the time!"
~ Captain MythBuster
aka Adam Savage.
The craftsmanship on this is beyond amazing!
Thank you!!
_Adam jumps off the roof_
Adam's son: Was he wearing a parachute?
Mrs. Savage: No. No, he wasn't.
Oh crap... Imagine having Adam as a dad?! Too cool.
I understood that reference!
"I hate it when he does that!"
...wait, wrong franchise.
@@thegenerousdegenerate9395 Dadam Savage
The difference between Cap and Adam, is Adam actually *forgets* to wear his parachute.
Adam I truly love your reaction to the beauty in the construction of this suit.
The fake ballistic nylon looks ridiculously real.
Top notch craftmanship in every detail!
Thanks!!
As someone who does a Cap cosplay and conventions and charity events, I can confirm how much fun metal shields are to carry all day. haha The reactions from kids make it worth it though.
If Savage gets to show Cap his Cap, I will tip my cap.
What beautiful work. I'd never have the guts (or patience) to work with stretch fabric, let alone, the awesome fabric they are creating. Bravo!
Wow. This version fits Adam so well! Very nice work!
Our mighty Captain Savage!
I just thought of an analogy with Adam's cave.
Some veterinarian offices have permanent resident cats and also catnip strewn around on the floors. The resident cats aren't loopy because cats become immune to catnip after a while, but of course the patients aren't immune. So a cat who has just arrived will be all loopy and distracted for a while compared to the cat who hangs around there all the time.
Adam is like the cat who has been around the catnip persistently, he's not super distracted by it. But he forgets about it, and new people come in and are all distracted for a while, and then he remembers that this is always in his environment.
He picked the best movie as his favorite. Winter Soldier is for sure the best MCU movie. I can also watch it all the way through at any point
I would love to see Kevin Smith, on Adam Savage's Tested. Making a star wars cosplay for kevin. Adam loves building/making cosplay and kevin loves comics, cosplay and directing/acting, and comics and loves star wars and comics also
I just spent almost 30 minutes watching three grown men geek out over a costume.
11/10 would do again
I'd do it again too 😂
My favorite of the Cast. America suits! Awesome job on the costume.
I Love everything about this video. The skill of their work, the emotions of Adam and the excitement of everyone. All the way down to lets mod it and weather it!
Jordan's is the best super hero helmet manufacturer in the biz
Adam, thank you for the call out about pockets, good job ! Designers take note, gurls love to have fab pockets !! :D
tl;dw they've worked out a technique for _flexible_ replica screen suits. Basically "3D" screen printing, with heat in between "layers" to raise the ink to create literal texture|patterns on sheer flexible dance fabric; opposed to stiff fabrics like corduroy that requires a time consuming process for actors to get in and out of and overall uncomfortable to perform or to cosplay with. 20:51
Neatest thing is them probably getting consistent results in such process with fabrics that literally flex.
15:43 That "What?" was adorable, and then Adam's face when they opened the box... he truly is a 10 year old in an adult's body. So wholesome! :D
Awesome Captain America Suit !!!!!!!!!! Captain America is one of my favorite Marvel characters !!!!!!!!!!!
Adam Savage tinkerer, model maker, builder, television personality, and cosplayer by day frustrated actor by night 👨🎤🎬
COOLEST THING IN MY FEED TO DATE🔥🔥🔥🔥 I LOVE THE STEALTH SUIT it's my favorite Captain America outfit
I'm sure you know this, but in case you don't. I've found, and my finding has been reinforced by watching more experienced and professional painters on youtube, that when painting with acrylics, priming with a darker color makes metallic paints pop more and look more even as real metal does. A black or dark grey under a steel, gunmetal, or aluminum works really well. But, the same can be said for white or yellow for silver or gold and bronze, respectively. Priming/basing with a similar color helps A LOT.
This came to mind when you three were talking about cold casting and the color of resin used. I paint miniatures for Dungeons and Dragons as well as Warhammer 40k. I think you'd LOVE the miniatures for those. Very attention oriented, LOTS of little details, and not really defined colors associated with them. There are suggested for factions, ans sects within factions, of Warhammer 40k, but you don't have to follow them. I'd think you'd have A LOT of fun putting together and kit bashing Warhammer minis.
This is one of my favourite Marvel costumes, certainly my favourite Cap costume. What an awesome experience this must have been.
It was awesome!
Very cool!
How about a "The Expanse" cosplay, or feature their cosplayers.
He should just pinch his costume from Season 2 from the studio. Lol.
When they were discussing how the costume appears on screen and how it's color corrected and that they go for how it looks onscreen... I'd say call it screen-accurate but not prop/costume accurate.
Fascinating fabric technology but the quality of the sewing? Couture!
I don't think I've ever seen such a great recreation. I'm gobsmacked.
Thank you!
I saw him at C2E2 in Chicago wearing this in Cognito! Love ya Adam! Stay obsessing!
This is so great! You make a great older Cap!!!
Whoha... Masterly! Thanks for sharing this with us all. What an absolute treat to see.
As a woman, Adam, I highly appreciated your bit on having functional pockets. Not having functional pockets can be quite annoying, especially when you can't have a bag with you or on your body. And yes, why aren't designers making beautiful dresses with pockets?!
That Suit is AWESOME
I want that Costume!!
That suit is badass!
I've been looking to make myself a version of this suit, so thank you for sharing those gorgeous shots of the details!
The nerd out is real, and I love it!
You should do the Endgame Cap Suit! The one with the "scales" and such. That'd be awesome! (says the guy with a Cap profile pic)
i would honestly buy a sweater that matches the top part of the stealth suit. it is my favorite captain america costume.
@11:20 AWESOME DELIVERANCE DUELING BANJOS REFERENCE!!! Hahaha!!!
Great idea for merch... Adam Savage cosplay trading cards!
No way, that look so awesome!!!
I love how much cosplay adam does, looks like so much fun :D
(even if it does look like a lot of the bigger costumes will make you sweat constantly when wearing them xD)
Hence installing fans wherever you can XD
His cooling set up includes a water cooling west.
@@fionafiona1146 I remember him talking about something like that, but I imagine he's still roasting where there isn't much cooling :p

Adam your Captain America suite is 🔥🔥👍🏽👍🏽
Adam's taste in films must be pretty good if Cap 2 is his fave MCU flick
I love superhero costumes that could actually exist and do what they do in the movie. Cap's suit is one. Deadpool's is another.
Cap just wanted to put on the suit one more time before he gave up his shield to Sam.
The costume looks better without the helmet, the helmet feels a bit off in Adam´s head, can´t tell what it is. Maybe it´s my brain that is so used to see him with glasses or something. But overall what a stellar work by these guys!
So good! You look and must feel MIGHTY! Congrats Cap!
This is so amazing. I am so jealous. Captain America has been my favorite character since I was little. I want one of these so bad!
I totally agree. I can always watch Winter Soldier.
20:29 Can I say that for the record, I think 4-way stretch fabric really has 8 ways of stretch. when you put into account the 45 degrees from a horizontal and diagonal plane.
Comfy cosplay. Who knew! Love it!
(Off topic) Has adam done a John Wick case yet? That would be something I'd like too see.
3:30 , 15:51 , 25:15
Absolutely love this suit❗️👏🏼
He could soo pull off a Captain America version of Red Guardian in the Window movie right here. Nice suit and nice vid.
Thank you very much for coming to C2E2 In Chicago last month. I had a lot of fun at your panel.
That!!! Is a beautiful suit!!!!! 👏👏👏
Stealth suit paint job on the shield is my favorite
Adam, you need to choreograph a fight scene in that suit and put it on tested!
I really like the visual of Captain America getting a little sewing in between missions.
