- Dynamat, Eastwood X-Mat, Thermo-tech Cool It, Noico??? They're all the same! In Episode 114 of Restoring Christine, we tackle heat and noise by installing Noico bitumin "tar" sheets with an aluminum foil facing to block sound, vibration and radiant heat from the floor, as well as foam insulation on the roof of our 56 Bel Air to keep the temperature nice and cool!

Glad to see you back. I anticipate your weekly videos and get withdrawal symptoms when you skip a week. Keep up the good work.
Truth told, I had a passing in the family, very close to my heart. But I'm back in the saddle and trying to keep up the weekly pace! Thanks for following!
Wow that is nice stuff! As always looking forward to seeing whatever you do next 😊
The rest of the car! LOL! I worked on the windows this week and am waiting for my felt kit to come in so that I can put the doors and windows together. I already have weatherstripping, so that's coming up soon.
Car looks great. Keep up the great work.
It's getting there!
That turned out awesome.nice work!
Thanks! I'm probably going to order another box and add it to the rear wheel well and doors.
This was great! I have always been curious about this stuff. Definitely will be following your lead of this insulation. Nice work too. Looks awesome.
Glad you liked it! When I did the Cutlass, I spent a lot of time debating about which brand did what and when it finally came down to it, I realized that they're all mostly the same.
That looks awesome thanks for the videos
Thanks! I've still got quite a few pieces to do!
Very informative and fun to watch. Your well schooled on products and their uses.
If I was able to make sticking insulation in place FUN, that's an accomplishment! LOL! Glad you enjoyed it!
Bill always love your videos and your engineering explanations as to why you do what you do. Very informative!
I read this comment three times, amazed at how someone would see the engineering brain at work without knowing that I'm an engineer... and then I said, wait... It's Fred. LOL!
I cannot wait to see it finished! Aere you using the old engine or buying one rebuilt?
Nice job
Thanks!
I'm going to have to watch this again! Because it's exactly what I want to do to my 56! :)
I'm probably going to order some more to do the wheel wells and sides, but you get the idea!
@@RestoringChristine1956 Looks like they may be out of business because no one stocks their products. I sent them an email, we will see.
Great demonstration of the installation of the product. Thanks for video!
You're welcome! Hope its helpful!
Great episode again
Thanks!
Came out great! Carpet time
I wish! I've got to get the doors and windows installed and then I can focus on wiring. Maybe THEN we can do some carpet! LOL!
Looks great ... you could even put that chrome furnace tape on the seams in the roof if you want to go over board ... gonna make it nice inside for cruisin ...
Chrome furnace tape... Not sure what that is, but I'm interested!
@@RestoringChristine1956That's the chrome like tape they seal duct work with ... any home improvement store will have it
I used a heat gun with the fat matt I put in my Belair... helped it to stick much better...
Nice trick!
Look great man bill can't weaght to see head liner in stall was wondering how many bows u have and how long their are I have 55coupe that is missing don't want to run crome strip moldings it looks like I need 7 bows would let know if yours is same thanks.
I haven't had the time to dig mine out to count, but there is a manual on the install that is online:

Did you catch your shout-out at 7:56? Thank YOU!
@@RestoringChristine1956 yes. 😁😁
Why use primer vs POR 15?
I didn't really consider POR 15, but that might have been a decent option.
Sorry, I couldn't hear you.... (just kidding)
Is this thing on??? LOL!
