  • Recipe video teloh terie:
    Heyaaa guys,
    Here's another super well known Surinamese recipe. It's called teloh terie, translated, cassava with little fish (anchovies lookalike).
    The cassava is fried, which makes it nice and crunchy, like fries.. in combination with spicy fried fish.
    This is a javanese dish, sold all over Suriname and in some of the Surinamese restaurants/tokos in the Netherlands. Many places serve it with salt fish instead of terie which is also delish!
    Ok, ok, enough talking.. enjoy the recipe!!
    Ps: I've only been able to get dried terie in Suriname. I've never tried the tokos in the Netherlands.. but I'm sure they must have it! Maybe even already cooked, because it lasts quite long without getting spoiled..
    Xx Feffie.

    Thanks for sharing! Question, does the terie stays crunchy after you cook it in the tomato sauce mix?

    • @CookingWithFeffie
      @CookingWithFeffie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it does as long as the terie is deep fried well.. Also the tomato sauce should not be too wet, but rather sticky.
