You know the Garen's good if they take phase rush over conq. Run for the hills, or don't. It doesn't matter, because you're not outrunning Barry Allen of Demacia
Depends of the matchup tbh. Don't take phase rush against heavy tanks, such as Malphite, Ornn etc.

@kool-aidman6955 that is not true Cong gives better early game and a stable late game dmp outscalea phase rush if they have no slows or build in slows so conq would be a higher choise over it
You take Phase Rush against champs that you don't win extended trades with, and Conq against champs that you do. There's no reason to take Phase Rush against, for example, a Shen toplane.

Garen just scale with your W free stats into safe first damage item and then proceed to ult the whole map. Go full tank and perma whip botlane until they ff.
Garen is broken but I dont think he can solo carry because he can only ult one in teamfights.

Gold spent and levels > kills. He has the same amount of items as the enemy top laner. Stop quoting fucking kills when they are all worth different amounts of gold and aren't a good sole indicator of strength at all

Just play Mid garen, farm and wait for your first item then keep ganking bot lane, every ult means a kill. you will win so many games easily.
A malphite can kiss his armor goodbye once garen buys full crit (LDR second with Galeforce)
you can essentially go full tank and win against malphitr regardless.

@@siniteanrazvan3298 titanic is terrible on Garen, I would not recommend ever building it. Cleaver is good but just having Cleaver in a full tank build does not give you enough damage. Malphite gets an absurd amount of armor and has a lot of HP. Full tank Garen with only Cleaver does not have enough damage to get him below execution threshold for R. Tank Garen in general is just bad. If you want to 1v1 Malphite you should go bruiser with LDR (due to armor pen and passive that grants you increased damage against champs with more HP than you). But in general tanks can be very hard to kill for Garen later if he isn't ahead. Simply because he usually can't cut through their huge amounts of HP. He has a true damage R but you need to bring them down a lot for it to be of use.

Garen is insanely disgusting to play against. Unless he is smashed in lane there is legit nothing you can do against him. He doesn't die has perma ghost and 1-shots anything - an adc nightmare.
Garen is one of the worst toplaner

@@froggamer4884 Adc's have range and damage but die easy, mages same thing, tanks have no range but have durability while bruisers have the tankiness of a tank more dmg than adc's 1-shot everything and have 100000 gap closers.
One day a solo laner who is a real sigma will take garen during the world and change the meta..garen was is and will be always ok tier or oP but pro are lockdown in their "metaaaa"

garen is one of those champions that always performs well on the enemy team and always performs like shit on your team, its worse than yasuo or akali. ive had yasuos and akalis win lane before, never had a garen win lane before ever.
