    I would have to say stretching my hair has been a game changer and also consistently deep conditioning my hair. It's changed my hair within a matter of months. And Kinky Tresses is BAE!!!

    One thing that has helped me this year with my hair journey is actually writing down the products I use each wash day and so on ---from cleanser to deep condition, leave in, refresh, the whole nine. It's dope to see what I keep picking up and helps me narrow down what I repurchase so I can start getting out of being a huge product junkie , but still have options in case something gets discontinued or i cant rebuy it right away

    • @OneSmartFro
      @OneSmartFro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. I did that last year and it was life changing. It was also crazy to see how products you thought your hair liked really didn’t. When compared with other products

    Great video! I’ve also started stretching my hair and I noticed my styles last longer and I have less tangles and knots. I can’t wait to see your video of how you stretch your hair because I’ve been looking for more ways to do it.

      Yes. I’m like dang I’m pushing longer then a week stretching my hair.

    Great video Gina. I still remember being shook at the moisture and definition you had when you used Kinky Tresses during your week of wash and styles. My new stylist has been steaming my hair for the last couple of months and it’s definitely been a game changer. I always deep conditioned under a hooded dryer but the steamer just hits different. Btw, love your sweatshirt-In my mind, I can still hear Kamala saying those words!

    The best thing that happened to my hair that I started doing differently in 2020 was actually learning my hair's porosity and realising that it is protein sensitive. I was using totally the wrong products! However common when I figure those 2 things out that help me to find better products for my hair that moisturise clarify and overall help the strength and nurturing of my hair.
    The pandemic, Shelter-in-Place, had a plus side if you will...

    A major game changer for me this year was switching to twist outs. Way less single strand knots and my hair last longer. Top brands/products Annabelle’s perfect blends for hair and body, product junkie naturals, and the mane choice cheers conditioner is the bests detangler/pre poo of all time lol

    • @OneSmartFro
      @OneSmartFro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Braids outs have been goat for me. When I stop trying to make other styles work and stick with what did. I saw a huge change. I can’t wait for my annabelle stuff to get here

    I'm learning my hair all over again because I'm embracing my grey hair but ayurvedic ingredients have been a game changer for me in 2020. I love the Kinky Curly shampoo, CR protein, and Kenndi's Essentials also.👍🏾❤

    One day, I need to get a steamer so I can see all the benefits everyone else gets. I agree. The entire Kinky tresses line is bomb. Their leave-in is the only product I wont repurchase from them cause it's just not enough slip for me. I started deep conditioning every week in 2020. Game changer! I also got a diffuser attachment. It's been great!

    I'm relatively new to the natural hair world (only been transitioned for over 6 months) and I love seeing what girls of all different curl types, densities, etc use. Maybe with next year's list you can briefly mention why you love the product versus just saying you love it and repurchased it. Did you like the slip, moisture, did it help with curl elasticity, give hold, bounce, etc

    I used the SheScentIt Royal Honey Mask today after not using it for months. I regret not picking up two jars for Black Friday. It's so moisturizing! I was trying not to pick up more since I didn't get through the first jar yet. 😭 Definitely stocking up whenever I can.

    I got Kinky Tresses because you were raving about it, I just used it tonight, been using it all month and it is great!
    Aw man, the Kriya Curl Pudding is my favorite, lol, it’s all good though, we all have different preferences and it’s interesting to hear them. I’ve been shopping my hair stash and using things for a whole month, next month is Kriya time 🤗

    • @OneSmartFro

    after seeing you use the steamer and did that and it has been an amazing experience. I use Camille Rose mostly, however, some of my gems are design essentials honey moisture and joico moisture balm. Also, your braid and curl style has been my go to last. I struggle with the stretch situation. I want to show the length but I also don't mind wearing my hair twisted for a week and then doing the braid and curl for the second week. Thanks for posting great videos always very helpful. Question for you: does camile rose algae deep conditioner have protein in it or do you recommend the other one over the algae deep for protein?

    TreLuxe is my baby. That’s my number one haircare line and I can’t be without it. Recently, the Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo was a lifesaver for me. I usually use the Alikay Naturals Moisturizing Black Soap shampoo for a thorough cleansing, but it just wasn’t working out for me that day (weird). KC came through, though. I have a question for you. Do you know of a compatible gel for the Kinky Tresses hair milk? I bought the bundle, but I haven’t used the hair milk yet, for that reason. Thanks.
