According to Ord-Hume (1995 p. 223), the Orphenion musical works had the most beautiful sound of all musical works of this genre, but could not compete with the "polyphons" and others in terms of volume. keep up with competitors.
Hurrah! what a pleasant sound is the melody played by music-box! Even if some quartz clocks and door bells too contains electronically recorded and programmed circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker that imitates the same but they can't beat the real music-boxes like these.

Itz wat weather persons had in the 1890s records at Tha time waz shalac cylinders and thick dics records. But these are metal disc they werk about the same as a small music box the metal comb hits the tiny pins and make the sound resonate in the wooden box .

You can find them all over ebay. Not priced too bad for discs but the players are $2k minimum and saw some as high as $40k
