  • I've mentioned priority valves in the wrong sense. Actually **Priority valves cut off hydraulic power to heavy load users if hydraulic pressure in a system gets low.**

    Nice explanation.. but you missed about.. ***priority valve***. Actually If a system pressure is low, the priority valve will cutoff hydraulic pressure to high load user such as flaps and slats, and the landing gear to maintain the operation of the essential flight control

    PTU becomes active when differential pressure is GREATER THAN 500psi. Thanks for the videos

    Lovely video... just one thing . In my opinion , in case of hyd Lo pr of a system , the priority valves cut off the supply to heavy load users to protect the little integrity left in the system and operates many low load items as possible. Please advise

      Amit Srivastava priority valve only supply fluid to necessary systems only like primary control surfaces..it will not supply to systems like landing gear for which v have alternate source of gravity extension.

    Can you explain about rat more. I understand that there is a fan which rotates due to aerodynamic force . After that whAt happens ....?..there is a electric motor or hydraulic motor in the rat which operates the blue electric motor . Plz explain about this . Thanks

      RAT (rotates like a windmill) - drives a hydraulic motor - runs an emergency generator

    Pl correct ...Priority valve cuts of supply to users downstream of priority valve .there is spring in priority valve which cannot be pressed by the lowered pressure and fluid cannot pass the priority valve to less priority users.

      Priority valves cut off supply to to heavy load users like landing gear, flaps, slats and emergency generator which are downstream of the priority valve.

    Sir why don't we keep yellow pump off during single engine taxi and let PTU take care of situation?

      To add redundancy so as to prevent a situation where if either green EDP or PTU fails then you're in trouble.

      And Sir what is the reason Indigo Starts Engine no 1 during taxi and why not Engine no 2. (There is NWS and parking brake on yellow system)

    I think priority value cut off power to heavy load users if hydraulic pressure in a system is low ( fcom).that means in green landing gear will not be available . You explained other way round .? Can u clarify if I am wrong

    What happen if we loss fluid in green reservoir? Can we deploy the landing gear.?

      Yes use gravity gear extension.

    As a convention always right side engines are started first ...whether it is Airbus or Boeing aircraft ...pls see..

      There is no mandatory regulation. As a convention, yes we start right engine first.

      It only presurizes , in case of pump fail( G or Y) .. u need to have reservoir fluid.. if reservior low level, u cannot use PTU...
