Parents should not require their children to achieve something by promising their love in return. Parents should not love only "good kids"or only those kids that they can be proud of. Love is unconditional. If it's not it's a child neglect.

@Minni and when you’ve reached a point where you no longer have the will to live or breathe or do even the smallest tasks, because you’re so deep into trauma or depression or your own head trying to figure out why you’re still going, asking someone to mask their pain and pretend to be fine to keep others comfortable is rude. People break and lash out when they’re drowning. It’s human.

@Minni a right to be actively rude? No. But I think you have a different idea of being “nice” than I do. Being told to be nice by a manipulative parent does not mean don’t be rude. It means smile, stand up straight, present yourself as a normal, happy kid in public and in front of me. That’s an entirely different thing. No, I don’t have the emotional capacity to participate in things like this. That is what “being nice” means from someone like that. You’re told that needing space, needing not to argue, or be dragged along to social events, or to not be happy is a bad thing and makes you selfish.
@minni5503I think she/he is saying that how parents manipulate their children and force them to smile everywhere when you are not in condition to smile! And we also don't know how she/he is going through! And there is huge difference between being rude and can't be sweet! Cause sometimes we can't be nice to every people!

It honestly hurt more knowing my sibling gets treated perfectly and I get pushed to the side when ever he’s around and then I get called ungrateful when I finally snap after so long of being pushed aside and doing absolutely everything all the time. Parents never realise how match the shit they do hurt there children we all deserved parents but most of them don’t deserve us

If something is not right with your brain and you have a drug or alcohol addiction then don't have children and risk putting them in harm's way.
I wish *my parents told me that you don't need to be perfect, you are perfect for us as you are* But all this happens only in stories, in reality our parents take away our childhood only in the name of making us perfect!!They make us jealous and insecure of our own siblings!! make us feel like we're worthless!! Why can't they accept us as we are!!
I refuse to beileve our parents birthed us just to scar us. But thats how it feels like, Im just here to be used however they want. Or be forgotten in the background.

My grandparents are never like this to me and my sister but my dad and sure as hell mom did neglected both of us. But she gave amber what she wanted or needed than I.

i was broke for 7 years i was abuse by my family for 12 of those years my abuser is out n on the run if he knew the pain I went through I would be happy for the rest of my life I hope he knows he broke me

your parents give you everything, the only thing they ask is that you don't embarrass them , and that's too much?
When people make a decision to bring another life in this world they should remember that they do that not for yourselves and this living creature gonna have its own life, its own dreams and goals. Children have a right not to do that their parents want only because they gave them everything (and sometimes it's not, sometimes they can give everything except the one thing - love (Isabel as an example))
