I think it's more common than people may believe that older siblings raise their younger ones and still, they're getting all the blame, hate and neglect from the parents. That absolutely breaks my heart.
My dad: "who are you I don't recognize you" me: "I'm your daughter that's not ok" Dad: "why are you not ok, I give you everything" me: "except your love, approval, and telling me that your proud" Dad: "your so ungrateful"
My parents yell at me, have their own lives, and never spend time with me. I feel so not love, they wouldn’t care if I live or die. All they want is money.
Let me tell you that many times parents do not act as they should, they are supposed to love us and take care of us but sometimes they just don't.🤷🏽♀️ And that will make you a strong and independent person that one day will find someone who loves you as you deserves. You have a lot to live for don't let a bad situation keep you from seeing how bright life is

The mistake kids with horrible parents make is thinking that they will love them some day in the future. It's never gonna happen. It's better to be alone and to love yourself than expecting love from a soulless monster. It's hard but it's the only thing that they can do.
For a child it is difficult to accept that the person who is supposed to love you unconditionally does not. They are children, they begin to believe that there is something wrong with them because no one taught them to love themselves, it is not their fault, it is the parents' fault.

Glad to stumble across this one as related to my selfish mothers video lol. I really knew almost all the fandoms, I hadn't gotten quite that far in Supergirl to see Maggie's dad (may have seen the previous episode lol, I was so close) and never got around to seeing Riverdale but I know all the rest of the scenes. 1:40 ish, I especially love seeing the undervidded Alex Karev moment of how it's hard for him to process his mom being okay and better now when it's too late.
People always say that older siblings get the worst treatment from their parents. Well, in my case, my older brother got all the forgiveness no matter how shameful and horrible things he did. When it comes to me, even the smallest mistakes I do, would be an issue and my mom would not talk to me for days as if I have committed a crime. For 24 years of my life, I always feel so lonely and broken and nobody can see that. I have decided to stop sharing my problems to anyone. And truthfully, I don't even think I have friends. I can't let people know how toxic my family really is. And btw, my parents divorced when I was 11. Everytime my mom got mad at me, she would always say "go to your father and live with him and see if he can stand with your shit". I don't even know if I ever needed in this world but one thing for sure nobody would care if I die.
We all grown up with a parents that is not good for themselves and for us.we all now know that is very unhealthy and not good.we all are under that.and maybe become because of that bad to ourselves.but here is the thing and the fact that if we all want a healthy and a better.the fact is that someone has to be first to make a change.and to be the change into good.that is the key of better and healthy and safe life❤😊

Maggie's father abandoned her and years later when she wanted to show him her life, he despised her for being a lesbian. Alex's mother had schizophrenia and he had to raise his two siblings neglecting his studies, when she controlled herself she completely ignored him. I can go on. I don't know what you understand as good parents but these definitely weren't. When you cause emotional or physical damage to your children, you are not a good parent, not even close.
