FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE UP YOUR MIND WITH NARUTO!! 😂😂😂😂 I’ve noticed his opinions keep changing along with his history with Naruto since 2017. 😭 He’s so confusing.
Joey refusing to put any Naruto scene at all is painfully on brand for him. He'd literally rather put the Death Note potatochip scene over Rock Lee's weights. That's not just a trash take, it's a clown take and an L. And I'm saying this as someone who doesn't like Naruto as much I used to. Madara's meteor is also goated.

Connor is completely right If its so famous you haven't even watched the show and know about it counts as iconic if my mom that doesn't watch anime knows about Goku going Super Saiyan its iconic, going oh but Naruto on the swing is more emotionally charged, no the point was Iconic like how the meme "ITS PIKACHU" is iconic, its not meant to be good, good and iconic are not the same thing, it just means in an instant you know where its from and why other people think its important
Also references in other media can make the original iconic even if people haven't seen it. Ashita no Joe is the clearest example of that, but if you don't know it, it might be a spoiler.

Don't get me wrong, so is Erwin's speech, it's just not nearly as iconic as the aforementioned. So yeah the fifth pick is at least more debatable.
The nightclub scene from the original Devilman when he starts to change into Amon for the first time, before completely slaughtering everyone in sight. That blew my mind as a child.
Alright, let me try. 1 per series, to be fair. And I'm going for scenes that are memorable for a lot of people. Dragon Ball - *Goku goes Super Saiyan.* Wish I could pick Gohan SS2, but it's indisputable. Naruto - *Rock Lee takes off the weights.* It's the scene that kickstarts the fight that turned Naruto into a hyped series. One Piece - *The entire scene of "I want to live!"* One Piece has always been insanely popular in Japan, and that scene is referenced A LOT there. Death Note - *THAT person's death.* If you don't know who I mean, then it's definitely a spoiler for you. HunterXHunter - *Gon's transformation* Even more than that scene with the King (that's my favorite) or the fight with Netero, THAT insane episode is always the one people hype the most whenever a reactor is getting close to it. It renders people speechless every time!

I personally think the Yu-Gi-Oh Exodia scene is pretty iconic no?
Doro monsta kado!
Yep was gonna say that myself. It's probably top 1-3 along with Rock Lee and Goku.
I was thinking that too
I do think that one is only really well known in TCG communities tho. Like everyone who has ever played yugioh or magic or w/e else knows about it, but outside of that and people who watched the anime as a kid…?
"my grandfather deck has no week monster Kaiba" the whole scene goes hard.
Naruto returning to the village in the Pain Arc with his red cloak and the music building the hype is my personal iconic moments
FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE BASED. dont get me wrong... rock lee is for sure second at worst... but imo its GOTTA be pain entrance scene when sakura yells NAAAAAAAAAAARUTOOOOOO and then boom
@@SageO6PathzGON don't expect something from trash taste they only praise one piece, yu yu yakusho and jojo. They never say good things about dragon ball or naruto

thats just a worse bleach thing
Bro! So good! All that destruction and Sakura screaming out for Naruto. Then 💥
Madara declaring that Guy is the strongest was for me my favorite scene in naruto. you also can't escape the infamous Nina tucker scene from FMA. Gon going super sayan against pitou in HxH or maybe the requiem for uvogin. the eclise in Berserk. Dempsey roll in Ippo. the christmas scene in Toradora.
Calling guy the strongest character in Naruto is like calling Gon the strongest nen user, L take from Madara
@danielelder6361 that isn't what he said at all though. He said Guy is the Apex of Taijutsu, which is 100% true.
I think madara introduction to war would be a better one.
great scene... but imo not even close to most iconic... imo its the pain entrance after sakura yelling NAAAARUTOOOO.
but aye FINALLY i found someone who also thinks gons rage. imo its GOTTA be on there
"Ryuji is mine!" I need to rewatch it but I'm pretty sure that is the first time Lost My Pieces plays. Taiga vs Sumire. Pretty much anytime Lost My Pieces plays.
Zoro "Nothing Happened" and that one clip where he took that little bubble of pain which turned into meme by community.
This is 100% the most iconic moment from One Piece. The sequence with Kuma pulling out the pain bubble is unreal.
Exodia from yugioh is really good too.
The Akira slide is soooo iconic and has been referenced so many times!!
I feel like an moment in a show is truly Iconic when people out side of the fan/viewer base know about the scene through cultural osmosis.
They might not be the best, most emotional, or most exciting scenes in the show, but they are certainly iconic.
If that’s case JJK might be up there if not already in the top 10.
@@suru7064 Close maybe, but I don't think it has quite made the same reach as like the likes of stuff like Rock Lee takes off the training weights, Super Saiyan, Akira Bike slide etc.

Yes, and the music drops and you enter a world of unknown and terror.
Also the guy carrying Eren and Mikasa while his mom gets eaten.

I'm halfway through reading One Piece and that has to be it. Them revealing the X in their arms at the end of Alabasta was incredible too.
Roy mustang in that scene where he snaps his finger and kills envy is a personal favourite
You mean Lust?
I suppose a scene being referenced in multiple other series would make it iconic. That would be... weights, DBZ transformation, Yamcha death scene, Ashita no Joe death, ora-ora-ora from Jojo, You're Already Dead from Fist of the North Star. Possibly also Kaiji's "zawa-zawa". Some Rena's scenes from first arc of Higurashi as well, like "USO DA" or her staring through the ajar door. Oh, right, also, first time Dempsey Roll got used in Hajime no Ippo. I've seen so many series parody it, particularly Gintama.

Nah most iconic AoT scene is appearance of the colossal titan.
Erwin's speech in German man...
frcking awesome.
If there is a top moment from Erwin, it would be him screaming at everyone to SUSUME! That last charge was brutally gut wrenching and heroic.
“I want to live!!!!!!” is pretty iconic. Probably the most iconic in the series for me personally, since Enies Lobby is my favorite arc Pre-Timeskip.
for me in Eva, when unit-01 goes berserk for the first time... that was pure nutty and ill always remember that

It's probably that, or Gendo's hand fold pose.

"EXODIA, OBLITERATE!"
These are some of my favorite iconic scenes in anime.
Erwins speech in Season 3 - Attack on Titan
Nico Robin's "I want to live" - One Piece (I prefer the dub scene over the sub)
Rock Lee taking off the training weights - Naruto
Levi vs The Beast Titan in season 3 - Attack on Titan

The father-son Kamehameha - Dragon Ball Z Cell Saga
Fairy Tail invades Phantom Lord - Fairy Tail
Natsu vs Rouge and Sting - Fairy Tail Grand Magic Games

The Eclipse - Berserk
Reinar and Burnt Toast reveal who they actually are. - Attack on Titan Season 2

"Get in the Robot Shinji" - Neon Genesis Evangelion
"Stand Proud, You are Strong" - Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
Masscarade reveal - Bakugan Bottle Brawlers
"Oh you are approaching me" - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
"Just who in the hell do you think i am" - Gurren Lagan
"It was me, DIO" - JJBA
So glad that Simon taking Kamina's place is here. Goated moment, I'm crying just thinking about it
I'd argue the transformed gurren lagann emerging from the ocean in space is ever so slightly more iconic.
I know this is a Western focused ranking but I gotta shout out the end of Ashita no Joe. It's one of the most iconic endings in anime/manga.
And heck, even Dragonball references the legendary cross counter plenty of times
It's even iconic in western spaces, but a lot of people don't realize it is a reference. I have no idea what the context of the ending is, I've just seen the picture and a bunch of references in other, popular anime.
Oml I only watched the movies before he started boxing and was so confused for a second. Although the first movie's ending was heartbreaking fr fr

Great scene but not referenced enough for it to be top 5. Shounen will take the list due to sheer popularity. Maybe Akira bike slide the only non-shounen though
The Berserk anime is nowhere near popular enough for this list

I agree with every single one except Amazon Lily: I think that Boa as a whole is the iconic part 😂 starts "beautiful but evil" and then comicly falls in love
Iconic is a mix of recognizable and having a huge impact, even if you’ve never seen the series. So I’d consider the top 5 to be:
-Goku turning super saiyan
-Rock Lee removing his weights
-Omae wa mou shindeiru
-Akira bike slide
-Hare Hare Yukai (if we’re counting endings)
I’m surprised no one has said the congratulations scene from Eva there’s so many things that reference it too
Joey, for a guy who keeps saying I never liked Naruto, I never got into Naruto, I dropped Naruto. I watched Naruto up to the pain arc but I came back to it but then dropped it again. I actually never got into the series but I’m also very aware of its iconic openings and iconic moments ever in the whole series.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE UP YOUR MIND WITH NARUTO!! 😂😂😂😂 I’ve noticed his opinions keep changing along with his history with Naruto since 2017. 😭 He’s so confusing.
He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. He declared The Wind Rises "mid" once and then later claimed to have never seen it at all.
Don’t take Joey seriously ever
Joey refusing to put any Naruto scene at all is painfully on brand for him. He'd literally rather put the Death Note potatochip scene over Rock Lee's weights. That's not just a trash take, it's a clown take and an L. And I'm saying this as someone who doesn't like Naruto as much I used to. Madara's meteor is also goated.
he loves to be a contrarian and he's built up a 'hipster' persona online so he can't think stuff like naruto, fairy tail or bleach is cool
Joey's opinions are often inconsistent except for the animes that he likes most and "dislikes" most. 😅
Everytime he talks about anime now, my brain goes dead 🤣🤣🤣
Connor is completely right
If its so famous you haven't even watched the show and know about it counts as iconic
if my mom that doesn't watch anime knows about Goku going Super Saiyan its iconic, going oh but Naruto on the swing is more emotionally charged, no the point was Iconic
like how the meme "ITS PIKACHU" is iconic, its not meant to be good, good and iconic are not the same thing, it just means in an instant you know where its from and why other people think its important
Also references in other media can make the original iconic even if people haven't seen it. Ashita no Joe is the clearest example of that, but if you don't know it, it might be a spoiler.
@@thomasffrench3639 ive definitely heard about it

-end of evangelion beach scene
-rock lee weights scene
-one piece i want to live scene
-akira bike slide
that one studio ghibli scene with the girl and the monster on the rain is also very iconic, it constantly appears on me.

Exodia, OBLITERATE!!!!!!!

From slam dunk. I can't believe none of you mentioned that. That shit is iconic.
What is that
Slam who?
Sakuragi x Rukawa hand slap is probably more well known but I guess it's not in the anime so wouldn't even count. Don't count on any westerners knowing the series lol.
In One Piece, for me the shanks stopping the marineford war scene is iconic. This was the first time I was genuinely surprised at a reveal in One piece. If anybody still wants to fight come we will be your opponents. Goosebumps
Super Saiyan transformation First Time, Yugioh Exodia Obliterate, Rock Lee dropping the weights, Ash being electrocuted by pikachu the first time, Eren talking to his father through his memories must be the top 5
It's not widely known, but Ippo's final takedown sequence of Sendo in their second match is legendary.
I feel like iconic basically translates to "well known" or "era defining", so the Akira-slide, Goku going Super Saiyan, Rock Lee taking of the weights and the Jojo walk are all extremely solid picks!
Don't get me wrong, so is Erwin's speech, it's just not nearly as iconic as the aforementioned. So yeah the fifth pick is at least more debatable.

3. Reiner and Bertholdt's betrayal (Attack on Titan)
4. Gon's transformation (Hunter x Hunter)
5. Akira bike slide (Akira)

4. Rock Lee removes Weights
5. Ghost Story Dub Big Black Man/JoJo You Approaching me
