Go for the Chevy van - looks good and you can't beat those old 305's. They made millions of them. That part you found in the disability van is the top link of a 3 point hitch from a tractor.
Love the voyager. I was SHOCKED when it fired up. I hope you save it man. My neighbor had a late 90s Plymouth voyager, when they put her in a nursing home it had like 26k miles in 2013-2014.
Absolutely !!! I knew a guy at my expediting company who had a 2004 GMC 1 ton cargo van with 1.4 MILLION MILES and it was still running well on a 6 Liter engine all original !!!
Learned to drive on my grandmothers 03 G20 Jayco conversion van. Had the long wheel base, extra tall top, and a mini kitchen (sink, fridge, micro). Thing rode like it was on a cloud.
Randy, I’ve never commented in the years I’ve been here but I WANT this van. If you buy it and want to sell it this is the van I want to build into a conversion to live in and start a TH-cam career documenting everything from picking it up from you to the end of the build which I’ll then donate it to someone and start over again!
Hey Randy, I just wanted to let you know that I am in a power chair and I have a handicap van already but I am glad that you got one on the channel now and I want a beverage see what you’re gonna do with it I hope you decide to get it painted an awesome color. Just want to let you know that how proud I am of you getting this man and maybe you can give it away to somebody they need it. Can’t wait to see your current video on it because I already know that you already have it. but I wanna let you know that I can’t wait to your new video on this kern van. Can’t wait to see you buddy. I hope you have a good day. Talk to you later.
Stalker van! I still like it. 1986 would have been the last year of carburetors. I believe general motors used those dood handles and window cranks from 1966 till 1989. I like the van! I have no use for something like that, but most have already gone to the crusher, so it's neat to see.
Randy buy the 86 Chevy restore it a little with paint. It comes fully loaded with stuff from way back. $ 2.500 is a good price for its condition, make it the home car for your uncles house, fits perfectly. Much love from the Netherlands.
I'm not surprised at all about that Chevy van. A friend of mine from high school's parents had one. His parents bought it in 1982 or 1983. They finally scrapped it in the early to mid 2000s. They were from Indiana, I am sure that the van started life up there but the dad was a musician (his nephew/my friend's cousin is Mike Epps, a celebrity comedian and he took over Smokey's role in the Friday films). My friend's dad is a musician and this was his working vehicles for YEARS. I was so sad to hear he scrapped it but it had a good run. That van was a trooper and served my friend's family well. These are workhorses made to last. I hope you buy it, Randy.
That voyager brings back memories. My parents got it when I was 9 years old and it was the first vehicle I drove when I was working on my permit and driver’s license. I don’t know what type of engine it had but I remember we were leaving from the local pumpkin patch and the van acted up. The speedometer didn’t work so we were like oh great hopefully we aren’t speeding. And when dad took it in to get fixed it died right in the dealership lot.
yes i think you can drive it home it did run pretty good the 86 it had a nice body on it no rust it look good inside to other than that it was all good love the video have a bless day randy 🤟
It would help if you started bringing 4 to 6 jump packs in a roller carrying case lol, you should have kept that expensive giant one that lasted all day.
You don't have Solo cups, Randy..... You have ,"Red Solo cups..... I'll pick you up...... Let's have a partay......" BUY THAT VAN! You need to take Nick in a road trip in that thing. It's a right of passage and a way to share our history in road-tripping (our generation) with him. He'll LOVE it!!!! You will, too. $2500 is worth it for the memories. Do it, man!!!!!
The 3rd gen Chrysler minivans will run forever, only thing better would have been if it had a 3.3 or 3.8. also clean and no strut Tower rot low mileage. Well worth the $800 I honestly see their value going up in the future like everything else especially since minivans faded away and this style stood the test of time over other generations looks wise. Been driving a rusty 98 got for $500 previous owner didn't notice the radiator fan quit working blew the head gasket, mostly externally leaking out of the block nothing major or mixing with oil put 15K miles on it no engine issues. as long as you don't beat on them never had a problem with the transmission in these and I 3 now & one before, scored a extremely clean low mileage Town and country loaded every option, that needs brake lines not one speck of rust structural or doors but was sitting on mud and rusted out the rear brake lines. I paid $1800 for that, that does have the bigger 3.8 but still think you got a good buy 👍 in the rust belt that's the only 90s Chrysler product left I sometimes still see around here.
It's the A Team van. The area in the back is where they kept Mr T. All the cabinets are for his protein shakes and Snickers bars. I bet he even whipped up those home made cup holders!
I'd take an 86 Chevy over an 02 GM of any sort. And if it's got a standard small block it's infinitely repairable. With those cabinets and that trailer hitch that was either a church van or someone who worked the summer arts festival circuits.
Randy I had a Chevy conversion van, need channel locks to open that radiator cap,I cut my hands many times before I learned my lession, lesson, someone barrow my van, told them to check regularly, I got it back and heater wasn't working,my friend didn't try to put water in it,luckily it was winter and it didn't get hot.
Back in the late 80's when I was a youngster. I had a 79 Chevy impala I drove it until the odometer flipped back to all 000000. And the only thing that I to get done to it was a timing chain replacement. The car ran great.

He takes it long trips no problems. I changed a transmission and a rear end on that van.
