I was a beta tester for ESO and played for a few months after release. Then moved on to a different MMO (which I don't even remember which one that was). But for some reason I came back. Started a new character. Picked up the DLC and chapters. And my God ... as a casual player it will take me years to complete all the content. I've got only four - five months into this game and I've barely scratched the surface. As a suggestion, avoid a mistake I made. I picked up quests without any real thought. And now I've got +20 quests on any given day and no matter how many I try to clear there always seems to be the same number after it is all done. Stay in one zone. Complete it before moving on to the next. I've completed close to 250 quests at this point and I can only claim to have completed one zone in its entirety. And about three zones with about a 85 - 90 % completion. And yeah, there are some zones I've never stepped a single foot on. It is just insane how much content is in this game now. Additionally, I don't use mods in my game but pretty much every single person on youtube does. And I suspect anybody who does heavy pvp or group events is also a serious mod user. So if you do come back, you might want to consider that direction as well. And I'll be honest, some of the mods people use just seem to be basic "makes sense" changes to the UI. I can't wrap my head around why Bethesda hasn't adopted similar modifications to the UI that just seem to make so much sense in the game play. A key to cheap fast travel is a player house. There are probably close to two dozen in the game at this point. You don't have to spend real money on this if you don't want. The game gives you a free room at an Inn just to get your feet wet by completing a short quest. But you can travel to your home for free and if you chose wisely, you probably will have a teleport near your home just a short walk away.

As a non-native speaker, I find your english very smooth and uncomplicated to understand. I've been attempting to get into ESO but with a different approach than that I had before with other MMOs. Therefore I'm trying to watch less/play more and I'm also better "filtering" everything I get to know about the game in order to have a more "fresh" experience (without worring too much about meta and competitive stuff which is IMO what totally destroys my view/concept of MMOs). TH-cam recommended me your video. For some reason I decided to give a try and I have absolutely no regrets. Thank you for these greats tips!
Wow i watched a ton of vids when i 1st started this is one of the best ive seen so far. Very relatable few people mention the cp 160 gear cap. I found out the hard way juggling inventory. So there's 2 thing that would save a lot more lives no one mentions...the soul gem passive to fill soul gems obtained by running the harborage quests i think. And... Setting the options so enemy atks are visible ...and combat stats for buffs and debuffs ect. I've been in more dungeons and trials with new and old players who don't know you can change the enemy atk color or they dont have the brightness turned up. It would be nice is if a well spoken TH-camr could get that info out there 😀
Being able to research multiple traits at once is gonna speed it up, so don’t bother with wasting days research, go farm dungeons and dismantle all your gear to quickly level up. This will save you more time in the long run
I definitely missed out on upgrading the tannins skills early on and was wondering how to get legendary materials til cp 200, I was so mad when I found out! So now I tell every new player who asks me for advice about those crafting skills XD
Just an FYI for those of us without ESO Plus. You can deconstruct all your gear as mentioned in this video but your materials will take up huge amounts of bag space. They know its annoying so they are pushing you to subscribe. I just sell everything.
I just started and I've been putting points into mount storage instead of mount speed. I think that storage space is at a premium if one goes without eso plus. It just stinks riding slow when everyone blows by you but the storage space is so practical.
I forget to progress the riding skills. I also thought that choosing the right class etc was crucial, but it isn't. Choosing the right gear and skills however are!
Great guide. Hah I've got 1200 hours into eso and I didn't even know about locking gear. OMG! Lol. I would also add a few useful tips. -use minion and add ons, they are so useful. Especially the ones that show you mages guild books, dungeon bosses, etc. -find all of the guild skill lines early so you start levelling them ASAP. Especially undaunted, fighters and mages. A lot of people miss the undaunted one early. There is a NPC in stonefalls near docks at a bar that let's you. -would say you don't ever need to buy a repair kit tbh. I've never bought 1. You get enough to you for free same with potions. -i agree on the gear thing except for PVP. If people are doing a lot of under 50 pvp then buying or crafting low level gear is very useful, especially on weapons as that's the most bang for buck. Good guide lucky!
Your not entirely right with guild skill lines. For example if you pick up the undaunted skill line AFTER you finished every donguen in the game, the skill line will unlock at maximum level. But what is important to.pick up early is Fighters guild. And also mages guild. Any other guild is skill line is locked behind questing. Exept the thief guild (legardman) that is automatic, open chest, loot stolen items and sell them and the line progresses
@@grovsey3656 whatever. I just said is not important to unlock it straight away. You don't miss anything by unlocking later, you will unlock it at higher level. Unlike Fighters guild or mages guild. Also the higher level your charter is the faster you exp the skills, because the exp needed for leveling skills.not scale. For example finishing a donguen at lvl50 gives enough exp to quickly rise a skill from 1 to 4. As at lvl 20 may take 2 or 3 runs for the same skill
How about never buy gear!! Do research early on everything for 1 character. Monsters drop better gear then you'd buy. Also, best to make your own stuff.
On xbox its about half off to buy the repair kit from a guild trader than from the merchant, at least from the 10 traders I’ve checked. You also gotta take into consideration that you can only repair one item at a time whereas if you go to a vendor and repair they do it all at once and you don’t have just another item taking up that sweet inventory space.
I am fairly new to the game, but I have been upgrading in 5's so far. 5% speed, then 5 capacity, then 5 stam, and back to speed. I really enjoy that system because you can see a difference quite soon.
@@Rainman5000 For some reason, I didn't see any speed improvement until I hit 30%. And even then it feels like the mount speeds up and then slows down every time I hit shift. But after 40% it's noticeable. As for stamina, I don't really need it since I can travel a great distance with base stamina. Once I finish speed and capacity, I'll work on that.
I feel like the biggest mistake low players make is not trying to join a new player guild they’ll craft you gear that go with your class and build along with xp trait and they’ll even help you with almost anything you’ll do as long as they aren’t busy
Not sure if someone mentioned this, but you can go to any merchant at any time and repair all your equipment for very cheap. Hope that helps. Took me a while to find that out when I first started out lol
You are probably the best ESO TH-camr out there. Thank you for your awesome content. #1 - I just repair at vendor when I sell. Sometimes it’s 19 gold, sometimes it’s 1300 😂

How about looting everything? I just started playing and loot everything. Because of inv space i threw out some 0 gold items but im not sure what to keep and what to destroy.
Are the in-game repair kits and the crown shop repair still different? The shop ones ( which you can get as daily log in rewards for free ) use one kit to fully repair your character whereas the in game ones only repair one piece, so you use 7 in game kits to repair all pieces? Also If you are a beginning player ( most likely to need this advice ) you likely only need petty repair kits or slightly higher, which were only 45 gold per, or, if you can find them in the guild stores should be dirt cheap. We don't all start at max level, y/know.
Could you post a list of the addons that we can see in your video please? Love the look of your skills tab and inventory, would like to be able to use the. Pretty please? 😄
Can we do a series like this? I, as well as many others have just came over from WoW and this game is daunting... So many systems that differ from skyrim and other mmo's and there's ZERO tutorials or hints about any of it... Would appreciate a "Top 10 Tips" for different categories... Say like dungeon's, PvP, Gold Making, Proff's, Gearing, Questing, Etc. Love your vids and so glad I found them before really getting into this game... Or "trying" to, lol. The Combat feels so damn clunky with all the Light Weaving And Animation Cancelling... Learning it though... Is that seriously how they meant for us to play this game - by using this, hm, "exploit" (used loosely - idk what to call it) to make combat faster/better - or was that not their intention and just sort of happened, lol?
Isn't it a bit risky to recommend using the Transmutation Station to new players, without warning them about being wasteful with transmute crystals? (new player here that spent his first transmute crystals on making a medusa necklace at a below-cp level :p)
Underestimating how much this jump is going to hurt. I've got over 1500 hours clocked on ESO and I still think. Yea... Should be able to survive this.... Should be *splat*
I've got a question about your repair kit thing, I've always just sold mine to merchants and used the merchant to repair, unless I've just not been paying attention and the grand repair kits act like crown repair kits now and 1 repairs all your gear isn't it cheaper to just merchant repair. I normally repair once every few hours of playing or if I've died several times and tops I'll hit like 600g for a repair, but if your buying grands at 70g an you have to use 7 at a time that's going to get expensive or do you just go until something is broken? I guess that answers my questions because that may be cheaper than a merchant, research needs to be done lol, just found your videos recently, love them, keep up the good work!
generally i've found the kits to be the cheapest option when purchased for a good price! :D but the merchant is so convenient so I mostly only use the kits if i need them on the fly
Ive been playing about 2 weeks and this has helped me. Ive seen stuff on armor about mundus effect and seem like i remember from other es games but i dont have effect rn...i will when i play next...im currently lvl 35 and im having good success at selling blue and purple gear in guild bank thing...selling items on eso is different to say the least lol But all in all---GREAT GAME!!!! I LOVE IT!!
Great video, would suggest anyone leveling a crafter to put at least three skill points into research skill line as soon as possible so u can research three things at once as well as reduce research time. First six months or so when I started I only thought u could research two items at a time for some reason, then I put some more points into research skill tree and found out u could do three! Would have been finished alot quicker if I'd realised that sooner.
Regards to Crafting toon. Are there enough skill points in the game for someone create a Warden Solo build you have listed and also spend points on crafting skills. EG assuming they acquired all the skyshards ?
yes, there are enough points in the game for you to max out every crafting line, have a solo build, a pvp build and a group build all on one char :D (450 + points)
I'm new to the game and sometimes a weapon would drop that has a stronger number but it has no stats. Another weapon of the same type would have a lower strength number but it has stats and it's for a higher level. Which one should I choose, the non-stat stronger weapon or the weaker weapon for a higher level with stats? I hope I asked my question in such a way that it's not confusing.
I spent way too much time leveling crafting and making my own training gear. I was max level in crafting before I reached CP; way too soon because I couldn't even use the gear. I spent lots of money respecing skill points because I didn't have enough points to support both my crafting habit and my regular game play. I also starting learning traits that had nothing to do with the stuff I wanted to wear, just researching what was available when I was allowed.
yo, that lock method is super important! I knew about it but didn't care to lock everything in my bank. well I was a little drunk playing, and was deconstructing all my gear for my new toon. she is level 33. I deconstructed all my banked gear. now, im casual in playing. so it was mostly blue/some purple dungeon sets. a couple of undaunted gear. so its a big enough loss to really suck. but let me grind for a month and I can get most of it back.
playing ESO a week and out of all that list the only "mistake" i made was about Mundus, as i simply didnt know about them yet. Everything else.. common sense really

I’m a veteran player for 4 years now and I did not realise that the Markarth dlc wiped out mundus off... So thank you for that. I’ve been doing content without one for almost two months. 🤦♀️
First time playing ESO. I'm level 44. I have a resource management issue. Been hoarding all those daily rewards. Not using potions. Sometimes use drink/food right before a tough fight. Really hate lock-picking, can only do simple/intermediate chests. Often running with mis-match clothing. Earning money is so difficult. Don't understand why some items can deposit to bank and others can't. Hate the number of days it takes to research an item. I'm solo-ing. Haven't done a single dungeon. One mistake I see others make (intentional or not) is having their microphone on, everyone in the area can hear their private conversations.
Try stealing items about 40 gold or so and over. Crates, drawers and trunks do the trick. That's just about the only way you can make consistent money unless you run with a group 24/7 and get good drops.
New player, and I’m like Ummm what’s a Mundus??? So they are the stones that you can get a passive from until you click another? Is that right? So much to learn.... crafting seems particularly deep.
@@stevensanna3651 after deconstructing things every day, I have a good handle on the traits.
@@darthmarr9886 but by the same token you will of unlocked the same skill line anyways if you've done all the dungeons lol. That makes no sense.
@@darthmarr9886 you can also level up skills in the skill line as you go so its way better to unlock it early
@@darthmarr9886 And miss out on that free experience doing pledges? Plus you seem to have some of your info confused regarding how to level skills.
How about never buy gear!! Do research early on everything for 1 character. Monsters drop better gear then you'd buy. Also, best to make your own stuff.
Unless your lazy and just need an overland set
Upgrading crafted items to blue or purple for
On xbox its about half off to buy the repair kit from a guild trader than from the merchant, at least from the 10 traders I’ve checked. You also gotta take into consideration that you can only repair one item at a time whereas if you go to a vendor and repair they do it all at once and you don’t have just another item taking up that sweet inventory space.
I'm a crazy cleaner, so I did capacity first, speed second... No item left behind!!! 😂
I respect it!
@@lordMaroza play pvp until u can level the passive that gives u 30% additional mount speed, forever.

U can sell set items for sticker book even below max level stuff, so no longer worthless.....

"Fast travel to your friends" haha I guess im walking everywhere :,)
The guild traders only seem to be selling in bulk. I can't buy repair crates individually. Is there a way to get around it? PS4 player.
Holy shit I don't have a mundus lol. Thank you.
it got me too!
You are an awesome and enjoyable content creator. Just know that dude :)
no you!
I kept gear between level 50 and cp 160 not realising that you never have alts that are that level again
Haha! Great point!
You are probably the best ESO TH-camr out there. Thank you for your awesome content.
#1 - I just repair at vendor when I sell. Sometimes it’s 19 gold, sometimes it’s 1300 😂
Wow, thanks!
Did you say "Derp Cheap" in the video? Because that is ADORABLE 😂 lol
LMAO I mean I said dirt cheap but I LOVE your version and will be switching to it immediately 😂
You could also go to any merchant and they will repair your gear for you.
i am a 530 cp palyer that whent around without a mandus for like 3 till the patch for cp then i finally noticed i did not have a mundus i had not clue ialways run the one that give sritcal strike changes or pentation but they were gone i porb sat there without a mundus doing things like trails without a mundus
How about looting everything? I just started playing and loot everything. Because of inv space i threw out some 0 gold items but im not sure what to keep and what to destroy.
Unless you have ESO plus dont loot everything since you dont have the crafting bag (infinite space for crafting stuff)
got you fam : th-cam.com/video/dyUXgiEpPBQ/w-d-xo.html
Talking about mundas stones, what is the ideal crit chance for a dps? When would shadow be more valued than thief?
Verry good beginner tips, i play since lunch and bever steen such a Nice beginnersguide
Isn't it a bit risky to recommend using the Transmutation Station to new players, without warning them about being wasteful with transmute crystals?
(new player here that spent his first transmute crystals on making a medusa necklace at a below-cp level :p)
when he said it worthless bro that hurt my heart XD I SAVED SO MUCH
hahaha we all did
Drink and food buffs are the same. Seen ppl go in a dungeon and eat both.
Im tryin to figure out which gear set to get for my Necro. I need an updated video on gear sets.
All my written guides are updated check those out
Underestimating how much this jump is going to hurt.
Ive seen stuff on armor about mundus effect and seem like i remember from other es games but i dont have effect rn...i will when i play next...im currently lvl 35 and im having good success at selling blue and purple gear in guild bank thing...selling items on eso is different to say the least lol
But all in all---GREAT GAME!!!! I LOVE IT!!
Glad to hear it my man!
7:23 I will surely refine the mats I got from heavy sex! Thanks for the tip
lmao
Great video, would suggest anyone leveling a crafter to put at least three skill points into research skill line as soon as possible so u can research three things at once as well as reduce research time. First six months or so when I started I only thought u could research two items at a time for some reason, then I put some more points into research skill tree and found out u could do three! Would have been finished alot quicker if I'd realised that sooner.
And buy instant research scrolls from guild traders or using writ vouchers.
I did not know i could invest CP immediately, thanks!
How do I join your guild? I’m a new player, and have followed your channel for all of my game play. Thanks for another great video.
Definitely grade A tips for new comers, Thanks a lot man!
Can you make a video on the order in which you buy the dlc's? and chapters? and the reasoning of it?
Even worse I spent my first couple months repairing via the merchant! That's like 1k a repair or more lol
I'm still repairing via merchant. Cost me anywhere from 50 - 200 gold pieces.
Aim for set bonuses if you can
I spent way too much time leveling crafting and making my own training gear.
I deconstructed all my banked gear. now, im casual in playing. so it was mostly blue/some purple dungeon sets. a couple of undaunted gear. so its a big enough loss to really suck. but let me grind for a month and I can get most of it back.
does my main have a mundus?
I hope so!
@@LuckyGhost it did, but its been so long since i have looked, i convinced myself that it didn't lol
Do you also recommend never doing repair all at the merchants? I can’t tell what’s cheaper lol
Its technically cheaper to repair your gear with repair kits. But I repair all at merchants all the time for the conveniencr
playing ESO a week and out of all that list the only "mistake" i made was about Mundus, as i simply didnt know about them yet. Everything else.. common sense really
Good Guide! BTW your char looks like a Warframe :D Must make one outfit with similar theme.
Lol thank you! Reminded me of warframe as well!
As a templar who is intending to be a tank someday but is running dps until I know wtf I'm doing, I feel so called out by using some of those abilities lolol. I run staff in dungeons now. I learned from my mistakes.
@luckyghost you have á scrabbook now so he or she can gabble for the shoulder becease you can remake them for crystals
But thanks for the tip of the repear kits

Starting out in ESO is so complicated I think going to have a break from it and go back to studying nonlinear analysis and dynamics of structures.
LOL just remember it really doesn't matter if you know it all on day one. there's nothing you can do to brick your account, so just enjoy and learn a little every day
I’m a veteran player for 4 years now and I did not realise that the Markarth dlc wiped out mundus off... So thank you for that. I’ve been doing content without one for almost two months. 🤦♀️
oh man!! I wonder how many more there are ! it got me too, for a while XD

Yeaaa i definitely made a few of these mistakes when i was a noob, especially running taunts as a dd😂😂
I hardly use repair kits. I'm switching gear to often.
My Mundus was missing

New player, and I’m like Ummm what’s a Mundus??? So they are the stones that you can get a passive from until you click another? Is that right? So much to learn.... crafting seems particularly deep.
Mundus is great, especially if you got a piece or 2 of gear that amplifies your mundus trait. Very useful!
@@stevensanna3651 after deconstructing things every day, I have a good handle on the traits. I now know that I have to get to CP 160 before I think about really “transmuting” objects into what I want. I’m rolling along with some under powered items simply because they provide a good set bonus. Thanks though, I always appreciate advice.
@@somekindadragon3414 Yeah I'm not saying you can't figure it out. The game's not too complicated so as you do stuff it gets obvious.
@@stevensanna3651 what does seem daunting is getting the crafting to a level to make arms, armor, enchantments ,jewelry in addition to food and potion buffs. Getting skill points slows down dramatically when you start getting CPS. So I’m hunting Skyshards of course. I didn’t think you were being pedantic, it’s cool. I’m new and I appreciate help.
@@somekindadragon3414 Crafting is daunting! The higher you get, the more time it takes to research traits, and yeah skill points can be tough to allocate. Hunt skyshards clear delves, and do main story missions to earn skill points. Can't do anything without those skill points! But I know you know that. All you can do now is put in the time.
Awesome! Ty for the tips. 🙃
