I remember the first TANKTRAIN that I got stopped for in Indiana at about 11:45 pm with 2 NS Dash 9 spartan cabs in 1998. Until then I only had known of those in Model Railroader advertising for the company that made those cars in HO scale. Kinda creepy seeing all those black tank cars with the hose line running between blocks (of 10?) of the cars to form units for easier loading/unloading!
Interesting view inside the trash cars. It appeared to me as if some of those cars were filled with shredded paper. I also noticed some of the trash train cars were covered, either with plastic or tarps.
Awesome overhead view of a trash train, how more trash doesn’t blow out of those trash cars is beyond me. That tanker was huuuuge baby. Good job WWOT, thanks. DPU alright my friend.👍🏼🚂
It's amazing more trash doesn't blow out of those cars and it must smell ripe. The overhad shot is still great. Wonder if the tank train is empty with all the power up front. OOPS, never mind, you just answered my question! Excellent action, enjoyed it much. Thank you sir.
ChainsawN&W1218, great shots from the bridge,I know alot of coal hopper cars have rotary couplers for fast emptying, wonder if the trash hoppers have any,or it's usually emptied by the bottom dumpers 🚂 👍.
❤ all the trains no matter how big or how small they are. Love to see the track crews at work as well. Have a safety question. How strong do the winds have to be, before the railroads put a hold order out on those double stacks? Even a semi trailer can blow over in high winds. Those double stakes must be susceptible to the high winds as well!
@@WideWorldofTrains Thanks. I would think that 40 is about right for the double stacks. Can you imagine a whole string of double stacks going down the track and a straight line gust of wind of 60+ mph hits it broadside? I would never wish that on any train crew.
I wonder what the railroad charges to deliver all that ethanol? Can you begin to imagine what that bill looks like! When the ethanol reaches its final destination I wonder how long it takes a crew to load/unload all that product.
Good overhead video of trains going under the bridge. Seems to be an abundance of foliage along the tracks. The railroad might have to cut some of the over hanging branches away from the rails.
And also gouging on it the throttle that is of course nobody Hardly has CB radios anymore I don't think half of them know what the CB radio is or what it's for
How would they empty the trash? Looked like stone over some of them to keep the trash from around? I don't like this. Some years ago one of these trash trains got stuck in Buffalo for a while. It was on the news for the stench and flies.
a 3 grey day!! that seems to be the limit up there!! i see the rats back when 017 went through! whatever that is honestly looks like a rat sitting there watching trains go by! the know trains these trash drags bring up a question for someone as cynical as me, with new york as mobbed up as it is wonder how many bodies are on them??

I've heard 40 mph winds
@@WideWorldofTrains Thanks. I would think that 40 is about right for the double stacks. Can you imagine a whole string of double stacks going down the track and a straight line gust of wind of 60+ mph hits it broadside? I would never wish that on any train crew.
There are wind screens to the sides of the track in some areas, but not enough.
12:38; Who needs a pipe line? We have four million tank cars moving a sixty miles per hour.
The one comment with saying about cost of ethanol to be delivered I know a flower car or a bakery I was told was about $180,000.00
How about 8 years ago that was
Anybody still reading comments from yesterday I believe Avon Indiana is down by Indianapolis Indiana
I wonder what the railroad charges to deliver all that ethanol? Can you begin to imagine what that bill looks like! When the ethanol reaches its final destination I wonder how long it takes a crew to load/unload all that product.

Yes, you are right
That train was moving a lot of trash. I wonder if people in neighboring areas can smell it when it rolls by?
Question.. I've notice the bottom clear lights wig waging or are they moving side to side?
Alternating
You have a high green on the other track,
I counted 100 tank cars on that 1st tanker train … I think it’s pretty close count …???
1 DPU Alright is better than none
Havent seen the PIP views in a while...you give up on it?
I do them when I think of them. I have to set up 2 cameras in advance
What kind of camera?

Shame to see so many empty wagons on IO17.
Why don’t they cover those coal trains like was done for these trash trains? And I noticed that some of those trash cars didn’t get covered.
Where does all that trash get dumped?
146cars on that freight train,
I suppose those garbage hoppers are on their way to one of Bill Gates' green, crunchy granola processing plants!
BNSF ALRIGHT WAS AWESOME TO 👍🙂
Lots of NYC trash. Roll it Jack!
Where is that trash going
