It does take time! I’m beginning but enjoy it. Find myself ignoring other things so I can mosaic. Lighthouse looking good…wanting to see finished project. Thank you.❤️
Nicely done. Mosaic art is not a fast art. It's more precise than people think. But, you can do smaller projects. I like doing small wood/MDF shapes and I use eggshells for that mosaic. I have used tile, rocks, beans, peas, eggshells, Murano glass, beads and I know there's a host of others. It is a very satisfying art with beautiful results. Thank you.
That sounds fascinating. I never would have suspected how much mosaic art would have grabbed my interest until I tried it. And now the more I do it, the more hooked I am. I never tire of the results you can get. Best wishes with your art!
Oh, that lighthouse looks amazing! I don't have much pottery, or colors like yellow/red, but this is doable. I love your channel for inspiration. I haven't created many sea glass mosaics, only one to be honest and it's a wonky, glue as I went piece. It's not so bad, but not artsy like all of your mosaics. :) Thanks for the lovely video, Jackie!
Hi Jackie I thought you voice sounded close to a Newfoundlanders 😂 I am from Newfoundland , I recognized your east coast voice , I thought sooo, beautiful work you are doing and thank you fir the tips bye 😂😂🥰
wow I was so relaxed watching you that your alarm made me jump ! can you tell me the exact glue you use as you could squeeze it out easily with one hand, I am having to cut the end off my glue, squeeze with both hands and put a dab of glue on a plastic tray and use a cocktail stick. Can you use Gorilla glue? As Linnett says can't wait to see the finished product.I have done a fish and seahorse
If you do teach some of my techniques, I would ask that you have people people purchase my book and patterns. You can find them on my website. Thanks so much for sharing this art form.
Not really. I find a swifter duster is enough to get any dust off. If they are hanging they pick up less dust than if they are leaning. A gentle cleaning with soapy water and a toothbrush if it’s really dusty works well too.
I don't but them. They are all collected at the beach. I know there are people who sell their sea glass online, but I don't sell mine. I do have some sea glass mosaic kits that include the sea glass available on my website jackietrimperseaglass.com
Hi Catherine, I just use the silicone as a glue and only enough to attach each piece. I don't use resin because I don't want to cover the frosted look.
Swiffer duster works fine. If there is too much dust you can use soapy water and a toothbrush. I don't find them hard to keep clean. You don't see any streaks because the sea glass covers the glass.

So glad you’re enjoying this.
I am ready to start my first thanks to a couple really awesome lady's from Our east . Love them . Very generous ☺️
Have fun with this project.
Really like the frame an glass idea with art under. Genius.
Thanks so much
You really have a great eye for this craft. It would be fun to sit with you and work on a piece together. Thank you for your work.
Thank you so much! I've done that with some people and it is lots of fun to work together.
You love sea glass mosaicing like I love gardening x
I must admit. I’d rather be at the beach than the garden. I admire gardeners.
You are amazing. I absolutely loved listening to you teach us how to make a mosaic!
Thanks so much. I’m so glad you enjoyed this one.
haven't tried sea glass yet but this is an inspirational, i think i'll get some - thank you
Good luck 🍀
Beautiful stuff Thank you
So glad you like it !

Wow that is beautiful...

Oh wow! I love the Newfoundland accent the best. SO glad you liked this one!
Every piece of sea glass that you find must be like finding a piece of treasure x
Yes it is. Each one inspires something different.
Where in the world do you find that much glass?????
Mostly in Prince Edward Island
I adore your toutorials
Thanks so much.
Do you grout your pieces? Do you do it when it is attached to the frame?
No I don’t use grout. I don’t like the look of the sides of pieces covered. It’s a preference thing for me.

she uses clear silicone
I'm really interested in your work and would be very happy if u can teach your work step by step.🙏🙏
How can I help you?
If you do teach some of my techniques, I would ask that you have people people purchase my book and patterns. You can find them on my website. Thanks so much for sharing this art form.
@@SeaGlassArtbyJackie please share your website address I will check.
I might have missed this but what is the product you are using to glue the pieces on?
I use clear silicone. It’s on this video: How to Glue Sea Glass - 2 Questions Answered th-cam.com/video/_c-BBBsrFi0/w-d-xo.html
Hello from Vancouver island! I collect sea glass as well. I’d like to do some Mosaics too... do you ever use hot glue or is silicone better?
Hot glue dries too quick so I can't fuss with it. Also, it doesn't hold, so I never use it. Good Luck with your mosaics
What type of glue you use
Hi Jackie when you have finished your projects do they collect much dust because there is no glass covering?
Not really. I find a swifter duster is enough to get any dust off. If they are hanging they pick up less dust than if they are leaning. A gentle cleaning with soapy water and a toothbrush if it’s really dusty works well too.
Thank you for the reply and I love your work .Gail (Australia)
Hi excuse me but where dobyou buy all your sea glass and rocks?
I don't but them. They are all collected at the beach. I know there are people who sell their sea glass online, but I don't sell mine. I do have some sea glass mosaic kits that include the sea glass available on my website jackietrimperseaglass.com
Do you seal your finished piece with anything. Your craft is beautiful-thank you for sharing & inspiring me
No I don't seal the finished pieces. I don't like to cover the sea glass and take away the frosted natural look. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoy it.
Beautiful..love to try this..where do i buy resin?..or do u only use silicone?
Hi Catherine, I just use the silicone as a glue and only enough to attach each piece. I don't use resin because I don't want to cover the frosted look.
Oh I love this. How would you hang it when done? Really great video*
Beautiful however it appears to be a royal pain to keep clean over the years... How do you keep it dust and streak free?
Swiffer duster works fine. If there is too much dust you can use soapy water and a toothbrush. I don't find them hard to keep clean. You don't see any streaks because the sea glass covers the glass.
glue product?
Clear silicone. See my video on what to use for glue.
Pleeeze !! could we have some closeups while you’re working!
Yes I’ll do that.
Ha hah! I loved this because I hate stupid people who think they can do great things in 5 min.
I try ... but it takes time to accomplish anything worthwhile.
Uau!!!!!!❤❤❤
