The Patriots had 2 decades of dominance and 6 Super Bowl trophies going to the Super Bowl nearly every other season. They were the class of the NFL for a long time. The fact the Patriots are taking their lumps is part of the cycle. Many franchises and fans would love to trade places. There are teams that haven’t even sniffed a Super Bowl in decades much less win one. Quite frankly they could stand to go 2-3 decades being mediocre and people would tell New England fans to stop complaining lol! 😂
@@eccehomer8182 Exactly. I don’t know how you guys do it being so loyal for so little return. If Browns fans have been watching after all the decades of sorrow and are still watching, you guys seriously must have one of the most loyal fanbases in the league. Guys like Otto Graham must be rolling around in his grave.
@@eccehomer8182 the browns defense last year was spectacular, they have to do something with it, god they got torched by houston in the playoffs last year.
Nah, ten-fifteen years is more like it. New idiots born every day. I'm a Skins fan and just had an Eagles fan tell me "y'all ain't never been good". OK bruh, whatever you say...And we won three SB titles in a decade span not THAT long ago. I mean it sort of is, but it's not like it was the Middle Ages or anything either. People forget. They'll forget the Patriots used to be good too.
Should’ve put Jennings in there for your fantasy, he got a 3 year extension before Aiyuk and they double Aiyuk more. He’s just the best dog receiver in SF
Aiyuk will warm up...thing your seeing now is the fact Jennings was in all of the off season workouts (Jennings is also a dawg, why we call him 3rd and Juan). so has better connection with Purdy, Aiyuk sat in all of the off season workouts, so that connection isn't there yet...which is usually the case in any hold out / in during OTA's / mini camps / training camp scenario's.
It would be mostly helpful if fans of teams were more realistic about their team's roster construction, win-loss potential, and overall coaching principles. The Patriots are in a rebuild, so no they are not going to the playoffs or Superbowl. Areas of concern are offensive line play and absolutely no capable or dangerous receivers on the outside. Average to below-average quarterback play. On defense strengthening the defensive line is a good start, bringing hybrid linebackers in could make this defense go and create a better mix of man and zone principles. That covers 2 invites big plays, add in some shell, single high, throw some 46 into the mix, or even cover 4 with some matching zone principles.
Oh and as a Commodes fan, Gibson was let go after developing a serious ball security issue over the last two seasons himself. I always liked him and he's a good runner, but he could never be trusted to hang onto the ball and lost us several games by fumbling on the goal line and things.
You keep getting surprised by Purdy's mobility tells me that you have not watched much of 49ers games and you do not know what you talking about. Purdy's scrambles and mobility have been one of his strengths since his debut bro
As a niners fan i did appreciate you guys getting your 6th ring against the Seahawks lol. I'm sure Pats will get good again... But don't be surprised if you have a SB ring drought for a while. Refs are into KC right now lol.
I’m a 49er fan and while I’m glad we won, I give credit to J Slye for that 63 yarder for the three. Think he will set new record by this season or next.
OK, from a veteran fan of a shitty team: when you don't win, any mistakes you're prone to get worse and you start inventing new areas to suck at until everyone points and laughs at you. It's just confidence, probably. Once you expect failure you are officially Tank-Ready! Because you'll manifest that on every play, and then the players retreat into their happy place and everything gets even worse. Even this Patriots team is absolute class compared to some of the unmitigated horseshit I've had to sit through over the years.
I think the Pats are doing the right thing with Drake Maye. Look what happened to JJ McCarthy in the preseason. The Patriots have a good defense, JaLynn Polk is good(he only got one foot down on that spectacular catch), Drake Maye is waiting in the wings, you guys just need a couple offensive lineman. It's cool, no team should be on top every single year. The law of statistics doesnt allow for that
It would be very stupid to start Drake Maye this season. There isn't a TEAM around him yet and if he loses confidence in his young career, you've wasted your pick. This is coming from a 49ers fan. Patriots need to just wait. Jacoby Brissett is there to fill in the gap until Drake Maye is ready. It's better for him to lose confidence than Maye. Hate to say it but they would be smart to wait.
Don't really get the argument for sitting Maye. Well, I get sitting him, just not because he'll get lit up. That's primarily a QB responsibility to beat. Throw it over their heads to a receiver and they'll stop blitzing. Sidestep, scramble, screen/sideline and the edge rush will begin to hesitate. Scheme that shit up with quick outs! What they're actually telling me with that is that Maye can't do any of that or that Pats coaches are unaware that there are simple QB solutions to those issues. Not easy, None of this is easy. Just simple. They should make him practise only that shit every day for a month all day long and then throw him in there to get it out of the way. They've apparently already stopped trying all that on Daniels because he beat all of it and it didn't work. And now the idiocracy media thinks it's because his offensive line that was below average a month ago is suddenly top five. It is not. He beat the defenses he's faced so far and now they're scared. That's why his pocket is clean as a whistle. Defenders may be stupid, but they stop doing things that don't work surprisingly fast.
Why would you want drake make playing behind that o-line ? The brisett hate is crazy . Yall rebuilding for the next couple years and yall new coach is mid at best

PURDY IS THE REAL DEAL
Yes
Kittle is the best TE in the league right now he does whatever you need him too way better than Kelce
Warner is NOT "low key slow"

Purdy at top tier qb this time again and again..his 3rd yr in a row..congrats ,,gd luck and GOD BLESS...
Travis Kelce is a receiver. Kittle is the best since Gronk
Exactly. Kelce and Kittle basically play 2 different positions so comparing the 2 is kind of moot.
Kittle player wise is the most complete tight end since Greg Olsen and he’s really been going blow for blow with Kelce and with WAY less targets
We are talking white te right
No kittle is not as a 49er fan one has Rings and one don't

Y’all were never in the game, regardless of who the QB was. Drake would get mentally broken behind that oline. Jacoby was hit on every snap.
Absolutely horrendous return by Guerrendo at the 3rd quarter. Look at those lanes! 👀

Gronk was good af, but he ain’t beating Jason “Written” Witten
I'd say Tony Gonzalez and Shannon Sharpe. Then Gronk.
