I respect the game of football and Brock is balling! Like I don’t get why it’s so hard for people to understand a Mr. Irrelevant pick isn’t supposed to be a starting quarterback! Brock is special. PERIOD!
Hey as a Niners fan .... I appreciate the Sea Chickens Rivalry ( Sorry had to do it). Though right now your team is playing well though Monday is going to be a little more of a test. You are right though a 7th round pick isn't typically suppose to be doing what Brock is doing ... Though honestly it always feels like the NFL puts way to much emphasis on the physical attributes of a QB ... I mean just look on how many 1st round QBs flame out in the NFL. Also I find it personally humourous that of the last 4 drafts that the lowest draft player is turning out to be one of the best taken . Following by Stroud and the rookie Daniels is looking strong as well.
@@BigR365 100%. It doesn't matter where you start, only where you finish. I mean, we were always told this type of stuff while growing up by adults. Why has it all of a sudden changed when it's Brock Purdy? It makes no sense why there has been a nationwide target campaign against him.
It certainly looks that way. Purdy is Humble enough to work with Donald like that. Guaranteed, Any other Starting QB would have Shook a #2 Off & wouldn't of gave him the time of day. Brock Purdy is a Man Of Faith who Cheerishes Relationships & treats everyone with Respect.
Darnold said as much too. Let alone being in a real system that values developing players. Also playing against Fred Warner as the scout QB probably didn't hurt either.
This is brocks 3rd year(2nd full year) and this dude is just getting more comfortable! That means he is looking to score on every drive. He knows that he is accurate. He knows exactly where to put the ball for his receiver to have the best possible chance at bringing it down. We havent had a true qb like brock since.....jeff garcia?? Dude is that special.
The more I see of him, the more I think about Joe Cool. Low draft pick, bided his time and took his opportunity... quiet, humble, intelligent, very accurate, comfortable in or out of the pocket and even scampers in a similar way. Now... if he could get us just the 4 Lombardis...
Minor correction: It's Brock's FIRST year as the starter and with a full offseason. And he's continuing to improve and learn NFL defenses better. We already saw him learn what Brian Flores was doing IN GAME and beat it the second time he saw it. That's a top level QB.
Also, Purdy threw this pass while stepping forward from his own 21-yard line and Deebo caught the ball right on the Patriots' 23-yard line. Depending on where you place his arm, that's 55 or 56 air yards.
lining up inside the numbers the corner is playing with outside leverage expecting an out breaking route deebo sets him up by running to the numbers and then breaking back inside kyle designs routes like this to help wrs get open
If you were being hyper-critical you could say it was a yard short. But it was 50 yards of air and it's better to be a yard short than a yard long. Brock is easily top 5 and the only reason the QB class of '22 wasn't a complete bust... and 8 guys went before him.
@@Someothername2134 It wasnt in stride, a couple yards short like you said. But most 50 yard+ passes are not in stride and tend to be a couple yards short and caught or overthrown. Ill take the couple yards short 50+ yard gain vs an incompletion and no gain.
Thank you for deciphering the strategy behind football. To the untrained eye it looks like a bunch of guys running around one ball, but there is a chess game being played with human bodies. This is why I keep coming back to watch your videos. Very insightful!
You teach very well. I hope you're a coach or a teacher. Yes, that's exactly what happened on the play. Brock looked off the middle safety #21 and that gave Deebo inside leverage. The DB had no inside help. Brock won the play with his eyes and Deebo acknowledged it after the play.
I haven’t seen a QB use his eyes to look off defenders as much as Purdy does since the 90s, and he’s been doing it since game 1. He’s so proficient in that regard.
The ran the reverse of this play early in the game and hit wide open aiyuk when the safety covered the deep route, this time safety bit low and purdy went the other way
Purdy with the noodle arm, Deebo had to slow down for the ball! A top tier QB like Maholmes would've hit Deebo in stride and got the TD. I'm joking at least it got caught instead of the receiver gassing out at the end. Overthrew Cowing on a deep ball even though Cowing supposed to be faster than Deebo. Hope defenses stop stacking the line with these deep passes.
Listen to this man. He knows his stuff. Completely unbiased takes. He's a Seahawks fam giving a Niner’s QB his flowers. That should say something.

Niners fan since Montana… Young… Yes Purdy was balling vs 2024 Patriots. BUT, Niners not winning it with Purdy / Shanahan…
That year behind Purdy did wonders for Darnold. Brock showed him how it's done.

If you listen to Darnold, he gives Purdy a lot of credit
Brock is elite.
He delivers the ball where it needs to go and can run it only when necessary.
He doesn't throw to open receivers, he throws receivers open by anticipating the route. Very rare.

If Brock were playing in that superbowl 54, he’s making that pass to E.Sanders. This was that play

Thanks bro hopefully one day
Excellent analysis, sir 👍🏻

Purdys scramble and td pass to juscheck that got called back was filthyyyyy bruh
I’m trying to find that play, wanna watch it. Actually that whole drive, u know anywhere I could find and watch it? Thanks

I love that the last 2 QBs in that draft are the only qbs on the team that drafted them

I highly appreciate you man because people be disrespectful towards Purdy and all we 49er fans was saying hey he's a great QB.
That shoulda been a touchdown but great play by purdy. Im sure hes not used to being able to step up in the plcket so much
Yeah sadly underthrown by a couple yards. Brock is great but this is where his lack of arm shows up. This was NOT in-stride.

The more the defense tries to take away BA’s deep in routes the more the deep ball should be open for other Receivers

I don't get why no one gives him credit, his stats have been in the top 5 in virtually every category since his first season.
His 26in thighs help him move in the pocket
It was a little under throw, otherwise it would be another TD
He throws such a good ball
Shit...where you started the video, i hadn't realized Aiyuk is in the Neutral Zone that wasnt called, where the camera is angled. 😂🤣
If Brock gets one more yard on that pass to Deebo it’s a 70 yard house call.
Dude is slinging the ball!
Wasn’t even his best game % wise but I just trust Brock and know he’s going to go for the win.
ball was underthrown, if it was a few feet farther it woulda been beautiful TD.
yes but it is still a good bomb
