So glad i found 2 clipeata plants for like 35 euro, amazing species. Both are Already getting a basal, wasn't exoecting that for such small plants. I Just hope they survive their first winter with me

Awesome. They are such a great species. Can you get them inside on a heat mat for winter?
They don't seem too picky but I think it would help.

I know rigidifolia has only males, I saw a population of clips at 100 ish in wild last I checked 😢. I have a SG from hort and it's been very hardy. Nice to see your specimens doing well

Hopefully that clip population is still there. I'm still yet to go and see neps in the wild, the Australian ones involve walking around crocodile infested swamps which sounds abit dicey lol

can clipeata also be grown in intermediate conditions alongside nepenthes veitchii bariohighland?

      on a windowsill

Yeah I would say it definitely could, it doesn't seem like the most demanding plant and like similar conditions to veitchii

It's such a shame. I'm not sure how much luck has been had reintroducing plants into the wild but hopefully in years to come we can be part of it with clipeata. If I even manage to breed it I will definitely be sending the seeds to botanical gardens etc to get them into the right hands.
