Stumbled onto this video at work and i got to say, i don't know which is more impressive, the Celia or the civic. Both where clearly the right cars with the right drivers. Best racing I've seen in a while.
I've never seen such a diverse grid and the racing in this is awesome with many of the similarly paced cars having drastically different strong suits and weaknesses. Not to mention they're running on R comps. I didn't think you could find racing like this anymore.
Who would have thought that a Celica a d a Civic coukd produce such a thrilling race, and to do so at Bathurst, kudos to both the drivers and the teams. That was a great piece of motor racing.

Fuckin crazy... Honda Civic EG6 cricked us all ... My first reaction was WHAT THE FUCK IS IN THAT HONDA... you can get one of them chicky little buggers for less than a grand these days in Australia I reckon.
Since it's in Australia I'm pretty sure it's a TA22 looking at the front grille and bumper set up with lights etc.. We got the RA23, RA28's also but I don't think we got the RA20 version.

What are the technical rule for thoses races?? I mean as much as I like small 4cyl, it can't match à big V8, even with the weight advantage since their is a lot of long straight.. Is their an allowed engine's volume per weight for example? Or they have to race with minimum factory part in the engine??
i wonder if both the Celica and Civic were modified based on their original engine construction/design?? or they dump in a completely different engine type? fast as hell...
Could someone please explain to me how all these different cars are competative to each other? because i couldnt think of how you could make a GTR competative against an integra
