It's 2 allright. Go to Mudd's Disco inferno and see they've updated the Epic Tokens for that too. So it's the new standard. And I believe it makes Mudd's bundles that much more attractive to potential buyers, especially if they Update the Epic Token(makes sense since this is the only one that is char-bound and can't be found in the exchange) ship resulting to become account-wide(e.g. added Zen price). I think the Samsar bridge combines well with the Farpoint Cnidarian so I'll be getting that hopefully, and I have in mind at least another one but it's dependant on how the token will be used. Obviously, an account wide Atlas and DPRM is also a big deal. I do have the E-J on the character I wanted it and not too warm on the Merian so I don't know if I'll get those, but you kinda are right about the keys, so I'm in a dilemma on that still. Will prolly make up my mind on which to get after getting the bundle.
I am hesitant to buy this because when the game is bought out the new people will need to put together bundles that sell so I think there will be a very significant power creep with the buy out
I know this is very much the "we want money" bundle, but I'll be honest... I have wanted account wide DPRM and Enterprise J for ages now. This is very much a "let me give you money for the thing", "okay we will sell the thing" kind of situation. They could keep it gambling and encourage key sales, but this is a better option and I am glad it's here.
Are you insane? You think that spending £160 or £320 (200/400 dollars US) if not on sale (PC prices) or £130/260(220/440 dollars US) (console prices) is a good deal? You're literally getting 2 things you'll actually want, this being a console and a ship for that extortionate price. If you and others stop falling for these sort of ferengi extortion schemes we might be able to force cryptic into a spot where they have to offer something more fairly priced or simply just give us account unlock for all the ships we earned or won through some method or another.
I would respect cryptic so much more if they just called it the "we want money" bundle...would be very on point for Mudd. They can also have it even though I already have 2 DPRMs/1 atlas... (I'm going to pick all three ships BTW) But seriously, probably a good move right now on their part.. Especially after the 14th anniversary's bundle's. Need to boost those profitable metrics.
Was getting a giggle from folk on Discord going 'how did Spencer do a 25 min video 10 mins after the announcement'. Evidently they weren't watching Nic's stream earlier. This is very much a buy for me. I was planning on getting the Atlas either at the end of the campaign of if I won a giveaway. Now I can get it account unlock. Wasn't sure about the 26th Century set, then I saw the Valkis and remembered that was one ship I loved the look of. So, as Spencer suspected, I will be one of the players that is getting the 23rd, 26th and the 2 T6 coupons. Next week is going to be expensive as I have my eye on the D7, the 11th (Vor'cha trait) and the 13th.
There is a workaround for the disable part of the Repair Mode: Lukari Restoration Initiative's Tier 2 trait Evasive Tactics. If an enemy hasn't affected you with control abilities in the last 45 secs, Evasive Tactics will allow you to move while still benefiting from the heal, damage resist and temp hp from the rest of the trait. I tested it myself numerous times, and it worked every single time: Repair Mode activates, Tactics removes the disable part, and I keep on flying instead of being a sitting neutronium duck.
First I wanted the D7 MW FDC, I got it, next I wanted a new Valkis and I got that two lol. I think I keep my Eventcampaign Box around for a while. Seems Mudd got me covered
A tiny bit disappointed the 'disco'-related Mudds bundles seem to be finished... but I'm genuinely surprised the DPRM is now available account-wide. I'm very happy though. What's particularly exciting about this bundle is it continues to demonstrate that there's clearly an effort to give players all of the big meta-console/traits; which I can't help but wonder if this is only happening because Cryptic are closing down, (conspiracy-hat on...) setting up the new guys to have nothing special from the past to put in their future bundes!?! I now hope the 'token' teased recently turns out to allow us to add another console and Starship trait to our ships as the struggle of what to leave out is becoming a (wonderful) pain in the rear!
One of the best budles full stop I've seen since the 10th anniversary. Would be great if they put all lockbox promo ships into mudds bundles as more would buy them as it's not a gamble or gambling. They'd make more money too imo
Yeah I'm surprised to see SAB so hype for this one, none of the ships are actually that good, certainly nothing remotely meta and even the DPRM console is no way near as strong as it used to be thanks to power creep. Had this bundle came out a couple of years ago it'd have been a different story but with the diminished value of the DPRM its overall value is significantly lower. Unless you plan on flying ships from this bundle on multiple characters, and realistically why would you, then really the only value at all here is the DPRM and that's heavily depreciated these days.
The enemy HP didn't go up in the last 2 years. When (the rest of) your build is way much more better and gooder than it was 2+ years ago, good enough to do what you used to do with DPRM without clicking it, it's not as good as it used to be. That is, if you only care about how fast you can clear missions and not raw DPS numbers.

Price per performance I understand where you are coming from. As far as all around benefits though the dprm remains a top console for any build in the game. I believe his thoughts on value are also the fact you get so many ships in this one.
Nice to see another exciting bundle. Not everyone has these "work arounds" that make the DPRM less useful. A LOT of people will benefit from that console as well as a few of the traits, and yes, for some reason unfathomable to me, a lot of people seem to love that hideous Enterprise J 😂 I love the KDF version and all other ships in the bundle though and I appreciate you helping encourage sales. (I don't mean in a nefarious way, I mean in a way that makes STO more profitable for Cryptic/DECA and therefore extends the life of the game and encourages the Devs to invest time fixing all the many broken things). Speaking of which. I encountered a new bug. I was doing an episode mission for a particular torp. I warped in, attacked the group of ships, and literally did zero damage. ZERO. None. I tried for a while in case I'd been debuffed or something but no. All of my weapons and powers simply had no effect whatsoever. I left the map, beamed in again and it went as normal. It's worrying to me. It's like the game is falling apart. I've also had far, far more occasions too, of hitting a weapon power like Overload only to have it simply not activate. More than before. I have big concerns right now. Thanks for the info.
Being a TOS fan I wanted the Atlas as soon as it was announced. Grabbed two for 250M a piece off the exchange shortly after the lock box released. Resold one for 600M as the DPRM became meta the month after. First and last lock box ship I picked up, and it was a lot easier back then. Oh for the days when you could camp certain spots in TFOs for infinite EC.
I have both the Atlas and the Thrai already, and love both. The Atlas is a high survivability powerhouse with respectable DPS potential, that has a low turn rate for something that's trying to feel like an escort. The Thrai feels very much like a TOS skin for a Romulan D'Deridex, and flies very similarly thereto.
Thanks for getting this video up so fast Spencer. Yup, Cryptic wants all the money. Definitely getting this, though. I've had a few boxes for a while and thought I would use one for the Atlas but this is a much better option. Also don't have many 32c ships so the Merian seems promising as well.
the mega bundle is def. worth it (at least the "on sell" verison) get 9 account wide unlock ships + 2 event ships on one of your char's (or 1 event ship on 2 char's). heck ya can even pick 1-2 of the many options in the phoenix store, if you never missed one of the events or don't want any of those ships.
I have the valkis and it is super great with the drones. I've been using torps with + hangar craft consoles. Recursive Shearing 3 is also just great for damage and chronometric inversion field is a nice damage debuff. Oh and Concentrate Firepower III is super good.
Glad I waited on the 14th Anniversary bundle because that zen will be going toward this bundle. I will get the ships, but I already have the Mudd's In Command Choice Pack so it will be interesting if the Merian adds anything beyond those choice pack command ships. I'm looking forward to the new Dyson Science Destroyer because I am enjoying the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer from the Mudd's Secret Intel Choice Pack. I know some players hate the Mudd's bundles because they worked so hard to get infinity and promo ships, but I'm grateful to have them as a new(er) player.
@@laughingalex7563 personally I like the atlas and I would use it for my TOS character. But there was no way in hell I was going to buy it just for an ALT character. This is really the first mudd bundle that has any of my interest. I'm still not buying it. I don't give cryptic money anymore either directly or indirectly. I just let my lifetime sub stipend build by 500 a month. I'm up to 8050 now. By the 15th anniversary I might be able to buy it. 😆 All of my alt characters have been driving the same ships for years. I don't really feel any need to change anything.

You're correct this is a very strong bundle, if not the strongest to date, that Cryptic has offered. It is almost a shame Cryptic only now offers us such a good/great subjective bundle. The "2x" Epic typo possibility will be interesting.
The 14th bundle sales must have been abysmal, which is good to know. I honestly don't know if I pick this up. I already have the Atlas and all the consoles and traits for the other two ships. The Universe would be interesting if it had the updated visuals, had its pets and console unrestricted. The Merian is actually the most interesting to me but the price is too steep when I have so little use for the rest. I think I gonna pass.

This is the kind of cash grab companies do to make bank one last time shortly before closing shop, and it perfectly aligns with the Event Campaign suddenly throwing every prize at us at once to drive up player counts in the short term. Not that this could ever happen to STO.
Unfortunately though this kind of cash grab has been STOs thing for a while, Mudds market has always had some form of "deal" though extortion tactic would be the better name for it, to allow account unlocks of ships people either already spent alot of time or money earning on one character, or that people just want and figure that somehow 200 dollars is justified for one ship. The event campaign offering more is probably because they don't put anything worthwhile in the c-store or lobi stores anymore and don't care if you get more of the random stuff in there. As the comments here unfortunately show, people are dumb enough to buy these mudd market things, which means people are dumb enough to buy several other methods of extortion this game offers, it almost definitely does not cost nearly as much to run the already pretty janky servers as they earn from those sales.
@@adambrown6669This was my thoughts also through observation of other online games for cost of expensive bundles to cost of running the mmo game. Also the poor business tactics like you mentioned of making people pay expensive prices twice for the same ship. First through unreasonably low chance odds with gambling, then second guaranteed win by offering an expensive Mudds bundle this time with account unlock. Comparing STO to another popular mmo I play, Fortnite has never had such an expensive price tag for the new Season expansions with addition of new items for the millions of players on the servers. I’ve always felt STO uses the player base as a cash grab unfairly as I feel they don’t reinvest money back into the game and should make more of an effort to release actual new content let alone fix existing bugs which make some current content unusable.

i've never before given any thought to a mudd's bundle but the notion of having a dprm on account unlock is very tempting, since that would free up my event campaign choice this year for something else
I've been wanting all three 26th Century ships since I started so I'm for sure getting this bundle just for them. I'll probably do the Pick 3, and get the two deadnought bundles with the Epic Phoenix tokens. I need the Ferengi Nandi warship for the console set bonus with my Quark Marauder. I think this is a strong bundle too.
I saw STO's post eariler. They said the whole bundle is 29,500. Because of course it is. I already have the DPRM on my main. And I'm at the point where I only use my alts for the summer, winter, and dilithium events. The current trend of the past year or so has put me in a spot where I only play my main and just let all the others idle.
Damn them, really. For two event campaigns, I took the 26th century dreadnoughts, first Valkis, then its Klingon counterpart. And so that they tell me now: and you're a sucker, a schmuck, now we're giving it away almost for nothing. If earlier you had to pay one and a half billion for them, go through 4 big events a year, now you just take your credit card and..- the problem solved. Yes, you can farm zen honestly, on your own. I've been doing this for years. I would have known about such a setup... I think it's time to tear off the covers, let's get all the unique ships in mudd market. Fuck this uniqueness, let's arrange a real pay to win, it still exists, but we will raise it to the absolute
@@Marxist1917 the point of campaign event is so that even f2p players can have the good stuff, and the point of regular events is that everyone gets the item/ship for free AND earlier than if they had they waited to pay. Still, it's a tough sell to say that having items for account unlock in the zen store is not an improvement over only being availible as a character unlock in a gamble box with abysmal odds.
My favorite 2-piece with DPRM is the PDBW console, but on one toon I also have the DPE for the 3-piece. Luckily I have DPRM on all my DPS toons because I bought it off the exchange when it was way under 100 million EC a piece (choice box for Klinguns and Romulans). As I'm not a huge fan of chunky ships without turn rate, I can skip this bundle and save my ZEN for the legendary bundle later this year. :)
Finally nice to have DPRM on account unlock, but it’s a little late. DPRM doesn’t always make it onto builds at this point. There are a lot of great consoles to choose from these days. Probably will buy the bundle, but the value isn’t as insane as it once might have been

So, epg lance valkis build vid when spencer btw, ik that it probably doesn't matter to anyone here, but the Merian trait is meta for thalaron - so if anyone were to do or planning to do such runs it would be a consideration as well
It literally takes everything that was so elegant and aesthetic about the Connie and completely ruins it, making it look just silly and malformed. That's quite a feat!
ENT-J looks as if someone with very large shoe soles stepped on your starship squashing it like an insect. Also never understood the craze of wanting to fly such large non-agile behemoths that barely turn or stop and usually have problems with the in-game camera. But I guess to each their own.
The Ent J was actually never really properly designed, the people working on it had little time to do so and it was never going to be shown in the episode beyond a display and it's interior hallway, the name was even random chance too, they just picked a letter without much afterthought. Had it been flushed out more I imagine it would have ended up looking better.
I haven't thrown money at the game since I first bought the 10th Anniversary bundle. This bundle however seems too good to pass up, especially if we get two epic Phoenix tokens. I suppose I'll have to see if Epic or Cryptic will be putting zen on sale, unless it's on sale already; I haven't checked. Great video and information sir, thank you. Oh and yes, I'll also be getting the ship packs along with the epic tokens.
The secondary shield console is an underrated. I mean we don't need a ton of healing in general... and shields are mostly meh. Still 30s of team wide hazard clears is nice for random TFO runs. The 2pc gives you a decent dmg console level cat1 for the major weapon types. Not a terrible console to slot with the DPRM at least if your not chasing a DPS record at the moment.
Never bought the Anniversary bundle and used a couple T6 coupons instead. Was thinking of getting the Choice of Dread, Kelvin Into Darkness, or the Disco Inferno from Mudd's with the over 15k zen I still have. I think I will just get this one instead. TOS theme ships, DPRM set, Valkis for Drone Ship Hangars, Big Ass starships for killing baddies with style, and lastly the Merian is probably the coolest of the 32C ships in my opinion. This is the first Mudd's pack that had 3 ship choices (IMO) which all actually offer something, rather than just one of them being a standout and the other two being forced picks. In any case, now that this thing is coming out and will be on release for at least a month, I suppose we won't be seeing the return of any of those other Mudd bundles for a while anyway.
I'm so glad that I've purchased two console packs for two of my Romulans recently................................ I still need the Terran Warship for three of my current toons. Once all of them have it, the Warship is guaranteed to be in the next upcoming pack.
Crap, well now I have to decide if I'm willing to spend 150 on the DPRM account-wide. I dislike the visuals of all the other ship bundle options and none of them seem worth it for traits/consoles, so now I need to decide what other two things to get, probably 2xT6 and 50x Keys. I know most folks would want the phoenix prize packs, but I have been absurdly lucky with those and still have 7 of them unused in my bank after getting what I wanted (I REALLY wish they could be sold / traded, I'm willing to bet other folks would pay a ton of EC for them).

DPRM with a 2 piece is tempting but I don't know how close to the meta I am for sure. I THINK I'm pretty close and just waiting on endeavours. I'd like to be able to somehow see how much of a gain I'm actually going to get because if it's not that much... I'm of zero interest as I'm not playing it like a damage contest BUT.... I mean... if it's A LOT of damage.... I'm not beyond change.
Here's my beef.... The J and friends are mediocre ships with a mediocre trait and locked consoles. The 23rd cen dreads? The Atlas is their selling point, the ships are mediocre and the other traits and consoles are useless. Now Kael said they are working on a token... If that's an account-wide token, then I can potentially bag the Atlas on my account for maybe 5-6k zen. Could be a different token though. But still, 14k zen for a single ship is a headscratcher for me. Same with the D7, being the selling point of that bundle too. Scratching my head if I should get the trait or the console on account....
Whan the Ent J first cane out in the mat packs I used dill in the eachange to buy 10 of the Mat pack I qiuckly opened them Until I got a congrads message for a freind I did not realize I Got it. I did end up selling it on the echange for 1.25 billion EC Because at the time i did not know how to farm EC well also it let me buy 3 more less popular ships 2 lobi and 1 box. I will defently think about bying the bundle
Don't really like they included the Atlas. Whenever this drops on console, console players will have paid quite a hefty price for a console which is buggy as best. Although you experience zero lag, certain consoles (ie.DPRM, High-Energy Network Communication) wont often activate when enabled, either through auto- or manual-activation. You can press the console 20 times, sometimes it activates, often needs clicking 20 more times and sometimes it has already activated but CD isnt shown. Then when it activates, you see a CD which is at 50%. This been an issue for years, every veteran console player knows about this issue.
A skip for me because I bought an Atlas for both my Feds many years ago (approx 400M) and all my other toons are KDF or Rom so got them from what were then cheap choice boxes. I had been hoping for Mirror Warship or Crossfield Refit so my "14th Anniversary Zen" will continue to be withheld ... For those not as fortunate as me to have these DPRMs, this is a very tempting bundle.
With the Meriden Trait. It is sadly junk tier... as the stacks don't refresh as a whole. The stacks drop of after 15s no matter what. So its essentially impossible to stack 5. Maybe Cryptic will look at it now... but I wouldn't count on it.
Am I the only one that just doesn't really like low uptime strong buffs? It feels like there's so many clickies and abilities, I really want to be able to toss most of them onto a spam bar with only a few of them actually being manually activated.
$150, picking up the packs and the Merian means you get 7 ships, that's $21 a ship. They may not be amazing, but there are worse values in game I guess. It might be amusing to take a few alts to 65 in the Temporal Dreads. And, it's another 7 admiralty cards. Ultimately, it will be DPRM that sells this. I legitimately thought we'd never get that or the D7 in Mudd's. I was wrong on both counts. Still, I will continue to be negative, to piss and moan about the state of the game and the price of admission in the hopes that I continue to be dead wrong, where I will gleefully admit that I was.
If you will promise to dedicate a video to your Merian Sci/Torp build, I promise to buy the entire Mega pack on this bundle. 🖖😁👍 (Yes...I have 2 left hands)
On the 2 epic phoenix... I don't think its a typo. This bundle greatly reduces their value... I mean if your buying this bundle you don't need a Phoenix for DPRM anymore. Its only value now is Domino and cold hearted.

Eh, might be tempted to fork over a few bucks for the DPRM alone for the choice pack. But not right now, not until i can have confidence that the servers will improve under DECA ownership. Since i've got into tanking recently, i'd be happy to see the Atlas being reworked stats and seating wise a little to make it competitive with more recent ships. But i don't think i've ever seen Cryptic actually significantly change an older existing ship, unless for releasing it as a new legendary variant.

What's particularly exciting about this bundle is it continues to demonstrate that there's clearly an effort to give players all of the big meta-console/traits; which I can't help but wonder if this is only happening because Cryptic are closing down, (conspiracy-hat on...) setting up the new guys to have nothing special from the past to put in their future bundes!?!
I now hope the 'token' teased recently turns out to allow us to add another console and Starship trait to our ships as the struggle of what to leave out is becoming a (wonderful) pain in the rear!

One of the best budles full stop I've seen since the 10th anniversary. Would be great if they put all lockbox promo ships into mudds bundles as more would buy them as it's not a gamble or gambling. They'd make more money too imo
As usual, the Mudd's bundles never have more than one ship I'd ever be interested in owning. At those prices, I don't buy them just to get one ship.
Yeah I'm surprised to see SAB so hype for this one, none of the ships are actually that good, certainly nothing remotely meta and even the DPRM console is no way near as strong as it used to be thanks to power creep. Had this bundle came out a couple of years ago it'd have been a different story but with the diminished value of the DPRM its overall value is significantly lower. Unless you plan on flying ships from this bundle on multiple characters, and realistically why would you, then really the only value at all here is the DPRM and that's heavily depreciated these days.
DPRM is every bit as good as it ever was. It's easily one of the best all-around consoles in the game. What are you even talking about..?

When (the rest of) your build is way much more better and gooder than it was 2+ years ago, good enough to do what you used to do with DPRM without clicking it, it's not as good as it used to be.
That is, if you only care about how fast you can clear missions and not raw DPS numbers.

Price per performance I understand where you are coming from. As far as all around benefits though the dprm remains a top console for any build in the game.
I believe his thoughts on value are also the fact you get so many ships in this one.
Nice to see another exciting bundle. Not everyone has these "work arounds" that make the DPRM less useful. A LOT of people will benefit from that console as well as a few of the traits, and yes, for some reason unfathomable to me, a lot of people seem to love that hideous Enterprise J 😂 I love the KDF version and all other ships in the bundle though and I appreciate you helping encourage sales. (I don't mean in a nefarious way, I mean in a way that makes STO more profitable for Cryptic/DECA and therefore extends the life of the game and encourages the Devs to invest time fixing all the many broken things).
Speaking of which. I encountered a new bug. I was doing an episode mission for a particular torp. I warped in, attacked the group of ships, and literally did zero damage. ZERO. None. I tried for a while in case I'd been debuffed or something but no. All of my weapons and powers simply had no effect whatsoever. I left the map, beamed in again and it went as normal. It's worrying to me. It's like the game is falling apart. I've also had far, far more occasions too, of hitting a weapon power like Overload only to have it simply not activate. More than before. I have big concerns right now.

Being a TOS fan I wanted the Atlas as soon as it was announced. Grabbed two for 250M a piece off the exchange shortly after the lock box released. Resold one for 600M as the DPRM became meta the month after. First and last lock box ship I picked up, and it was a lot easier back then. Oh for the days when you could camp certain spots in TFOs for infinite EC.

I have both the Atlas and the Thrai already, and love both.
The Atlas is a high survivability powerhouse with respectable DPS potential, that has a low turn rate for something that's trying to feel like an escort.
The Thrai feels very much like a TOS skin for a Romulan D'Deridex, and flies very similarly thereto.
Welp.. Trizander is now sitting in a corner silently weaping.
Well, I'm glad I held off on using Event Campaign V to get an Atlas now.

Thanks for getting this video up so fast Spencer. Yup, Cryptic wants all the money. Definitely getting this, though. I've had a few boxes for a while and thought I would use one for the Atlas but this is a much better option. Also don't have many 32c ships so the Merian seems promising as well.
the mega bundle is def. worth it (at least the "on sell" verison) get 9 account wide unlock ships + 2 event ships on one of your char's (or 1 event ship on 2 char's). heck ya can even pick 1-2 of the many options in the phoenix store, if you never missed one of the events or don't want any of those ships.
I have the valkis and it is super great with the drones. I've been using torps with + hangar craft consoles. Recursive Shearing 3 is also just great for damage and chronometric inversion field is a nice damage debuff. Oh and Concentrate Firepower III is super good.

Glad I waited on the 14th Anniversary bundle because that zen will be going toward this bundle.
I will get the ships, but I already have the Mudd's In Command Choice Pack so it will be interesting if the Merian adds anything beyond those choice pack command ships.
I'm looking forward to the new Dyson Science Destroyer because I am enjoying the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer from the Mudd's Secret Intel Choice Pack. I know some players hate the Mudd's bundles because they worked so hard to get infinity and promo ships, but I'm grateful to have them as a new(er) player.
Popular 'ships' IMO means SHIPS not consoles you strip off of said ships. 😆

@@laughingalex7563 personally I like the atlas and I would use it for my TOS character. But there was no way in hell I was going to buy it just for an ALT character. This is really the first mudd bundle that has any of my interest. I'm still not buying it. I don't give cryptic money anymore either directly or indirectly. I just let my lifetime sub stipend build by 500 a month. I'm up to 8050 now. By the 15th anniversary I might be able to buy it. 😆 All of my alt characters have been driving the same ships for years. I don't really feel any need to change anything.

You're correct this is a very strong bundle, if not the strongest to date, that Cryptic has offered. It is almost a shame Cryptic only now offers us such a good/great subjective bundle. The "2x" Epic typo possibility will be interesting.

I honestly don't know if I pick this up. I already have the Atlas and all the consoles and traits for the other two ships. The Universe would be interesting if it had the updated visuals, had its pets and console unrestricted. The Merian is actually the most interesting to me but the price is too steep when I have so little use for the rest. I think I gonna pass.

This is the kind of cash grab companies do to make bank one last time shortly before closing shop, and it perfectly aligns with the Event Campaign suddenly throwing every prize at us at once to drive up player counts in the short term.
Not that this could ever happen to STO.
Unfortunately though this kind of cash grab has been STOs thing for a while, Mudds market has always had some form of "deal" though extortion tactic would be the better name for it, to allow account unlocks of ships people either already spent alot of time or money earning on one character, or that people just want and figure that somehow 200 dollars is justified for one ship.
The event campaign offering more is probably because they don't put anything worthwhile in the c-store or lobi stores anymore and don't care if you get more of the random stuff in there.
As the comments here unfortunately show, people are dumb enough to buy these mudd market things, which means people are dumb enough to buy several other methods of extortion this game offers, it almost definitely does not cost nearly as much to run the already pretty janky servers as they earn from those sales.

First through unreasonably low chance odds with gambling, then second guaranteed win by offering an expensive Mudds bundle this time with account unlock.
Comparing STO to another popular mmo I play, Fortnite has never had such an expensive price tag for the new Season expansions with addition of new items for the millions of players on the servers.
I’ve always felt STO uses the player base as a cash grab unfairly as I feel they don’t reinvest money back into the game and should make more of an effort to release actual new content let alone fix existing bugs which make some current content unusable.

i've never before given any thought to a mudd's bundle but the notion of having a dprm on account unlock is very tempting, since that would free up my event campaign choice this year for something else
I've been wanting all three 26th Century ships since I started so I'm for sure getting this bundle just for them. I'll probably do the Pick 3, and get the two deadnought bundles with the Epic Phoenix tokens. I need the Ferengi Nandi warship for the console set bonus with my Quark Marauder. I think this is a strong bundle too.

I saw STO's post eariler. They said the whole bundle is 29,500. Because of course it is. I already have the DPRM on my main. And I'm at the point where I only use my alts for the summer, winter, and dilithium events. The current trend of the past year or so has put me in a spot where I only play my main and just let all the others idle.
Damn them, really. For two event campaigns, I took the 26th century dreadnoughts, first Valkis, then its Klingon counterpart. And so that they tell me now: and you're a sucker, a schmuck, now we're giving it away almost for nothing. If earlier you had to pay one and a half billion for them, go through 4 big events a year, now you just take your credit card and..- the problem solved. Yes, you can farm zen honestly, on your own. I've been doing this for years. I would have known about such a setup... I think it's time to tear off the covers, let's get all the unique ships in mudd market. Fuck this uniqueness, let's arrange a real pay to win, it still exists, but we will raise it to the absolute
Every time I choose a lockbox ship from the event box I just assume it will be in Mudd's next week.

@@Marxist1917 the point of campaign event is so that even f2p players can have the good stuff, and the point of regular events is that everyone gets the item/ship for free AND earlier than if they had they waited to pay.
Still, it's a tough sell to say that having items for account unlock in the zen store is not an improvement over only being availible as a character unlock in a gamble box with abysmal odds.

My favorite 2-piece with DPRM is the PDBW console, but on one toon I also have the DPE for the 3-piece. Luckily I have DPRM on all my DPS toons because I bought it off the exchange when it was way under 100 million EC a piece (choice box for Klinguns and Romulans). As I'm not a huge fan of chunky ships without turn rate, I can skip this bundle and save my ZEN for the legendary bundle later this year. :)
Finally nice to have DPRM on account unlock, but it’s a little late. DPRM doesn’t always make it onto builds at this point. There are a lot of great consoles to choose from these days. Probably will buy the bundle, but the value isn’t as insane as it once might have been

It literally takes everything that was so elegant and aesthetic about the Connie and completely ruins it, making it look just silly and malformed. That's quite a feat!
ENT-J looks as if someone with very large shoe soles stepped on your starship squashing it like an insect. Also never understood the craze of wanting to fly such large non-agile behemoths that barely turn or stop and usually have problems with the in-game camera. But I guess to each their own.
The Ent J was actually never really properly designed, the people working on it had little time to do so and it was never going to be shown in the episode beyond a display and it's interior hallway, the name was even random chance too, they just picked a letter without much afterthought. Had it been flushed out more I imagine it would have ended up looking better.
I haven't thrown money at the game since I first bought the 10th Anniversary bundle. This bundle however seems too good to pass up, especially if we get two epic Phoenix tokens. I suppose I'll have to see if Epic or Cryptic will be putting zen on sale, unless it's on sale already; I haven't checked. Great video and information sir, thank you. Oh and yes, I'll also be getting the ship packs along with the epic tokens.
The secondary shield console is an underrated. I mean we don't need a ton of healing in general... and shields are mostly meh. Still 30s of team wide hazard clears is nice for random TFO runs. The 2pc gives you a decent dmg console level cat1 for the major weapon types. Not a terrible console to slot with the DPRM at least if your not chasing a DPS record at the moment.

Never bought the Anniversary bundle and used a couple T6 coupons instead. Was thinking of getting the Choice of Dread, Kelvin Into Darkness, or the Disco Inferno from Mudd's with the over 15k zen I still have. I think I will just get this one instead. TOS theme ships, DPRM set, Valkis for Drone Ship Hangars, Big Ass starships for killing baddies with style, and lastly the Merian is probably the coolest of the 32C ships in my opinion. This is the first Mudd's pack that had 3 ship choices (IMO) which all actually offer something, rather than just one of them being a standout and the other two being forced picks. In any case, now that this thing is coming out and will be on release for at least a month, I suppose we won't be seeing the return of any of those other Mudd bundles for a while anyway.

Crap, well now I have to decide if I'm willing to spend 150 on the DPRM account-wide. I dislike the visuals of all the other ship bundle options and none of them seem worth it for traits/consoles, so now I need to decide what other two things to get, probably 2xT6 and 50x Keys. I know most folks would want the phoenix prize packs, but I have been absurdly lucky with those and still have 7 of them unused in my bank after getting what I wanted (I REALLY wish they could be sold / traded, I'm willing to bet other folks would pay a ton of EC for them).

DPRM with a 2 piece is tempting but I don't know how close to the meta I am for sure. I THINK I'm pretty close and just waiting on endeavours. I'd like to be able to somehow see how much of a gain I'm actually going to get because if it's not that much... I'm of zero interest as I'm not playing it like a damage contest BUT.... I mean... if it's A LOT of damage.... I'm not beyond change.
Here's my beef.... The J and friends are mediocre ships with a mediocre trait and locked consoles. The 23rd cen dreads? The Atlas is their selling point, the ships are mediocre and the other traits and consoles are useless. Now Kael said they are working on a token... If that's an account-wide token, then I can potentially bag the Atlas on my account for maybe 5-6k zen. Could be a different token though. But still, 14k zen for a single ship is a headscratcher for me.
Same with the D7, being the selling point of that bundle too. Scratching my head if I should get the trait or the console on account....
Whan the Ent J first cane out in the mat packs I used dill in the eachange to buy 10 of the Mat pack I qiuckly opened them Until I got a congrads message for a freind I did not realize I Got it. I did end up selling it on the echange for 1.25 billion EC Because at the time i did not know how to farm EC well also it let me buy 3 more less popular ships 2 lobi and 1 box. I will defently think about bying the bundle
Don't really like they included the Atlas. Whenever this drops on console, console players will have paid quite a hefty price for a console which is buggy as best.
Although you experience zero lag, certain consoles (ie.DPRM, High-Energy Network Communication) wont often activate when enabled, either through auto- or manual-activation. You can press the console 20 times, sometimes it activates, often needs clicking 20 more times and sometimes it has already activated but CD isnt shown. Then when it activates, you see a CD which is at 50%.
This been an issue for years, every veteran console player knows about this issue.
A skip for me because I bought an Atlas for both my Feds many years ago (approx 400M) and all my other toons are KDF or Rom so got them from what were then cheap choice boxes. I had been hoping for Mirror Warship or Crossfield Refit so my "14th Anniversary Zen" will continue to be withheld ... For those not as fortunate as me to have these DPRMs, this is a very tempting bundle.
7 or 8 T6 ships on account wide unlock for 14,750 Zen, very tasty.
And here i am without the money to get it atm, when i get the money….when i get it…..
The Klingon dreadnought 26th century is the only one that looks good. I like the Thrai too.
With the Meriden Trait. It is sadly junk tier... as the stacks don't refresh as a whole. The stacks drop of after 15s no matter what. So its essentially impossible to stack 5. Maybe Cryptic will look at it now... but I wouldn't count on it.

Am I the only one that just doesn't really like low uptime strong buffs? It feels like there's so many clickies and abilities, I really want to be able to toss most of them onto a spam bar with only a few of them actually being manually activated.
$150, picking up the packs and the Merian means you get 7 ships, that's $21 a ship. They may not be amazing, but there are worse values in game I guess. It might be amusing to take a few alts to 65 in the Temporal Dreads. And, it's another 7 admiralty cards. Ultimately, it will be DPRM that sells this. I legitimately thought we'd never get that or the D7 in Mudd's. I was wrong on both counts.
Still, I will continue to be negative, to piss and moan about the state of the game and the price of admission in the hopes that I continue to be dead wrong, where I will gleefully admit that I was.

On the 2 epic phoenix... I don't think its a typo.
This bundle greatly reduces their value... I mean if your buying this bundle you don't need a Phoenix for DPRM anymore. Its only value now is Domino and cold hearted.
You've never been able to get the DPRM with a Phoenix token. The Atlas Dreadnought it comes on is a lockbox ship, not Phoenix.

Eh, might be tempted to fork over a few bucks for the DPRM alone for the choice pack. But not right now, not until i can have confidence that the servers will improve under DECA ownership.
Since i've got into tanking recently, i'd be happy to see the Atlas being reworked stats and seating wise a little to make it competitive with more recent ships. But i don't think i've ever seen Cryptic actually significantly change an older existing ship, unless for releasing it as a new legendary variant.
