Brings back memories!! We added cabbage too.
Yes it does bring memories, where I live right now you can't get this anywhere. The only thing they put sauerkraut on is the hotdog 🌭
I've been lookin' everywhere for this exact recipe. My mother made it this way!! I've got some "patio ribs" and the cold bagged kraut that I wanted to do up right!!! Thank You!
I forgot my mom used to make this when I was a kid
Exactly how my grandma used to make it. Looks amazing. Great job 💕💕
Thank you 😊
It would be great if you could add a list of ingredients and proportions to your description. I realize the amounts are up to personal taste. I rather than using 3 cups of water, create a3 cup mixture of add kraut juice and chicken broth to the mixture! Enjoy!
May I suggest, putting the whole rack in the oven under broil and they will brown faster and you can cut them up when their done getting brown. I also season before I broil them which helps them brown sooner!
Excellent video, thanks for speeding the mundane parts.
My grandma used pork chops and lima beans in the sauerkraut. A German family gave us their family recipe which is bacon and sweetened with brown sugar. 😋
Yes, got to have the brown sugar to balance out the flavors.
Thats a bingo!
Did you cover the baking pot?
How do I get this recipe?
You mean herstory 😊
Why drain the saurkraut when u add water?
To rinse off the salt and maybe vinegar
@@charleskocun6754 that is what sauerkraut is! You're washing away all the flavor for no reason! I've never heard of anyone washing sauerkraut.
@@giveadoggyabone1 I wash mine
@@charleskocun6754 Good for you.
So it wouldn't be too sour.
