"I was born 87 years ago. For 65 years I've ruled as Tamriel's emperor, but for all these years, I've never been the ruler of my own dreams. I have seen the gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking eye may see. Behold, in darkness, a doom sweeps the land..." - Uriel Septim VII
"This is the 27th of last seed. The year of Akatosh 433. These are the closing days of the 3rd era... and the final hours of my life." - Uriel Septim VII
Everyone involved with this understood the assignment. This doesn't even feel like it's about ESO anymore. It's a tribute to the IP and those it brought together.
Well, this is the problem; it might still be at the demo stage. I sometimes speak to Brad Derrick (the composer) and he has specifically mentioned to me that pulling audio from PTS is to him a little bit of a "bummer" because it's not always fully recorded by full orchestra and also he might be using lesser expressive sound libraries to build a demo, specifically choir comes to mind, which if you go back and listen to some of this channel's battle music, you can hear the choir on some tracks are not as high quality as on the final recording of the music, because sound samples sound less realistic, and the words they are singing are not always fitting with the music, which gets changed before recording with a real choir. So ideally Brad would prefer for people not to get too hyped about unreleased music, because it might not be fully finished. But he did also say that he is happy and thankful that people enjoy it regardless, he just wants people to hear the fully recorded, mixed and mastered version instead.
@@rene-pedersen-musicThat's fascinating to hear, thanks for the additional context. For me it's the strings that go through a very dramatic change and I'll be looking forward to hearing the final mix. Ps if you speak to Brad again can you ask him where the Necrom soundtrack is at? 👁️🫦👁️
@@Ehntu I already did a little while back, but he said that he doesn't know, because he is not responsible for releasing the soundtracks on all the platforms.
Agreed with others about this being not final but still cool to hear. You can tell by the differing beats practically tripping over themselves at the end there. Really fits for a 10th anniversary theme though.

The elder scrolls motif will always be one of the greatest video game liet motifs ever created 🙏 this new theme does it a great justice
This is really great! Thx for bringing this to us.
Sounds like a combo of the original theme and the Morrowind theme. Instruments don't sound final? Definitely more palatable than Necrom's.

Strong Oblivion influence
And it's even more clear when you see the location of the next expansion (aka Skingrad)
Another variation on Jeremy Soule's three note motif from Morrowind 😂 Thank you, yet again, for making this available!
Well it is THE Elder Scrolls theme now so you'll be hearing it from here on out until this franchise expires.
@@jillwarricks Hey, never said I minded! 😉
it sure is a classic. sad to know that soule isnt working on tes6 soundtrack tho
Obvlivion and not Morrowind
@@baldur93 No, it started with Jeremy Soule's Morrowind theme. Oblivion's Main Theme was the second theme to use that motif.
OG THEME LETS GOOOO
Yasssss let that nostalgia hit!
sounds beautiful
Great remix of Reign of the Septims, love this theme.

I LOVE THIS
Only two TES themes made me feel what I feel right now: original Morrowind's and this one.
2:02 🔥
I Wish they kept these DA DAM DA DAM!!! a little longer😂
The original theme from 2014 is still superior, they shouod bring it back. The only piece composed by Jeremy Soule!
You can choose what theme plays on the main menu in the options. I switch between the original and blackwood's theme. :)
i need another jeremy soule like music i want he mix all of the trailer songs and make a great one
3:36 who is the white-haired woman with the staff on the right? I don't recall her.
That is Gabrielle Benele.
Elder Scrolls Players, arise for the national anthem
the first part is boring, but the second part is super comfortable and cosy
I feel like this starts off strong but is easily the weakest of the ESO themes overall
Necrom was infinitely worse. I get they went for a different style, it just didn't work out.
@@BoatLoadsofDope Necrom wasn't the best either, but personally I liked it a lot more
it sounds like a pirates of the caribbean ripoff
How boring.
