There's one of those "I was today years old when I learned this" videos where someone uses a hammer and a nail to poke a hole in the bottom of the oil filter 1st, to let it drain. Much cleaner than unscrewing a full filter. Thank me later.😊😊
I have 2015 cayenne tdi. Oil changes aren't that difficult to do. I have a car lift.I installed last summer so that helps. Oil and filter Is around 70 bucks. I run my o l level a little more towards the top close too 8 quarts.
DRAIN THE FILTER before you unscrew the housing! (into a funnel + hose!) That is why that drain plug is in the housing...
Is there a crush washer on the drain bolt to replace?
This bolt had the washer as part of the bolt. You would need to replace the entire drain bolt.

Such a great idea. :) Never would have thought to do that before.

Is the layout on the TDI easier to get the oil filter out?
Yes. Way easier. The oil filter cartridge is on the top of the engine easy to get to.
@@65philo damn that would have been awesome.
Indy charges $220 for the panny.. I priced it out for just the oil change kit its $190..
Yeah for 220 it’s a no brainer. It’s worth every penny. For the oil and filter, it cost me about 100.
