I never known my grandpa to be someone to enjoy videogames but he heard the theme song over my phone and asked. His eyes seemed to soften a little and asked me when and how to play it since it was his favorite game and hadn't been able to play it since his gamecube so many years ago. I'll buy it for him.

Hey look, they added a Heart Block in the Pit of 100 Trials entrance.
That honestly was the most convenient place to put a heart block, and yet they somehow for whatever reason didn't put one there in the base game when it really should have been. No more having to go on foot all the way to the inn's second floor for a healing before taking another crack at the pit.
It's also free.
@@ryan20028 From the look of it, it's not free but 10 coins. Still night as well be free because you tent to make more than that on the first 10 floors of the pit, which is the soonest you can leave. The save block there is also convenient. There is one just outside here right by the thousand year door itself, but you have to do a little but of platforming and paper airplane action to reach there, so it takes like half a minute. This is way more efficient.

Man, I love the enthusiasm in the announcer's voice, it's like even they are excited to see such a beloved GameCube title receive an official remake! Can't wait 'til May 23rd!

Also, the remixes sound incredible, and not enough people are talking about it.

I think this is good because it’s bringing this to a new generation of players. This console has a waaaay higher user base than the Gamecube did and I’m ready for this game to get the love it’s always deserved!!

Mario and Luigi series sells worse than paper Mario and the last remake on the 3ds bombed and closed the studio so I highly doubt they would need a new studio to make a new Mario and Luigi then a remake

when they remastered Superstar Saga for the 3DS it was fine but what inspired them to remaster Bowser's Inside Story before Partners in Time on the 3DS? You could already play the DS version on the 3DS. This pointless remaster led to the bankruptcy of AlphaDream, so no Mario & Luigi Games so far. But with them returning to their roots with the remaster of Super Mario RPG and picking the best Paper Mario for a switch Remaster, TTYD, I'm hopeful we will see the Mario & Luigi series continue...

Actually Sparks of Hope was a underperforming failure according to Ubisoft. So it's unlikely that we'll see another Rabbids sequel.

Remaking this game should be the first step in making the series more unique and appealing.
People are finally going to understand why we've been asking for a proper sequel of this game. It's just perfection. Everything about it. The world. The story. The combat. Man I'm so happy people will get to play this for the first time. I'm jealous

What I love most is that new fans are going to experience some top teir opponents/villains in this game, because this game by FAR had the most well rounded designed and written foes in the entire series! Everyone you come accross is memorable, and that is not something you find in games often. The Shadow Sirens, Rawk Hawk, The funny sheet ghost (won't say his ;) name), etc! The designs are the best in the series no doubt. I still can't believe this game exists! 🤘📕

I never did beat the Pit of 100 Trials in the original; that's going to change once the remake comes out!
Best advice is to keep all of your items for the upper floors as best you can.

@@mikegalbraith9999 then you redo everything again, you keep the treasures, but you have to do everything again, I don't know if they'll change it, but in the original, it was a one way trip with no saves
@@mikegalbraith9999there’s two trouble center quests for the pit, so what i do is do the first trouble along with the first 50 floors and the strange sack after finishing chapter 4 and having vivian’s fiery jinx for a solid multitarget attack, then come back before or after chapter 8 to do the second pit trouble while finishing up the rest of trouble center requests
My record for getting through the pit as early as possible was post-chapter 5. I want to see if I can do it sooner this time.

Like, I was playing this game like 20 years ago, and I've been waiting so long for them to remake it. I'm so glad I got to live up to see the day that they did bring this back.
It looks amazing, the action commands are back, the style of the game is back, the companions are back, the awesome badges are back. Amazing bosses, and the Characters, each one, brough something totally new to the game. Now I get to relive it all over again, and I've never been so happy to give someone my money.

Only track I didn't like in this trailer was Rogueport. The horns and brass sounded too high energy for what the city is lore-wise. Everything else was phenomenal.

I think that was more about keeping the characters looking like the gamecube version than changing her design back.
I remember when my mom gave me this game for my birthday, the good times playing Paper Mario on my Gamecube when I was 9 years old, how to forget those beautiful memories.
Just remember, Paper Mario got more kisses from the lady partners he recruited during his journey. The Mainline Mario maybe got a kiss from Princess Peach, his Paper counterpart flexed his unsung rizz energy.

I love the paper Mario series, and I’m and beyond glad that this amazing gem of a game is getting a remake so people who never have played this game before can experience this masterpiece. Twilight Princess is on 3 systems. These other games are stranded on the GameCube with no other official way to play them, so they need remakes/ports more.
This is literally my favorite game of all time, I have been praying to be able to play TTYD again and now the stars have aligned

I think I heard somewhere that they’re going to have the battle music change depending on the location, rather than just what kind of enemy you’re facing. That could be false, but I hope it isn’t
@@sealink129It could easily be area based. I wouldn't be surprised if this was because they did something like the Origami King which is perfectly reasonable.

Alternatively, I wonder if it could either be just an extension to the normal battle theme to make it less repetitive on loop, or after around halfway through the game, they may switch to this theme (recently it’s been kinda common for JRPG’s to have a new, more intense battle theme as the player progresses to keep the battles fresh).

Bought it on a whim back when released for Gamecube. One of the best times I ever had!
The fact people thought this game hinted at the release of the next console because the original trailers didn't mention the Switch at all in the original teaser.
those people were grasping at straws, it literally had the switch logo with the little snap sfx at the start of the first announcement trailer
AND was listed on the switch eshop from the day it was announced
some people have way too high expectations just to be sad when they’re broken
They will have to make something new, as the Switch later loses a lot of sales overtime, but for now i guess they could stick to switch for a little bit longer.
I thought people said that because of the Super Famicom colored button icons.
Nintendo's Switch games have pretty much never had colored button icons until recently with Super Mario RPG. That one made some sense since it's a remake of an SNES game. But then we get Paper Mario TTYD, a remake of a Gamecube game, and it has the same color SFC scheme.
this was my favorite gamecube game growing up no other game could compare at the time ive probably finished it 20 times thank you nintendo for the memories

Thank god, The best paper mario game is getting a remake. Please nintendo, continue the franchise in the direction of the first two games. RPG elements, unique characters, and less of a crazy emphasis on paper gimmicks, and you will have an amazing series

This is probably my favorite Mario game of all time. I played so many hours of this on GameCube as a kid, I'm definitely going to pick this up. I can't wait to fight in Glitzville again.
I dunno if I want this or Luigi’s mansion. Paper Mario looks really cool.

I’m not that excited for it. I was hoping an original Paper Mario game. But maybe this remake could save Paper Mario.
Seeing one of if not my favorite game of all time getting new spotlight with a shiny coat of paint is amazing to see
That’s so cool that they went above and beyond for this remaster. One cool thing I noticed is that each character has a different sound for when they talk now. That’s such a cool detail.
Hopefully the future is bright for Paper Mario after this release? Would love to see them release a true sequel in this style.
They made the title screen change every time you unlock a new partner. That's such a cool detail. You can see there was so much attention and care went into this remake
I am loving every new thing they're adding to this remake, including unlockable concept art and music, and holy smokes, they're adding new music to this game, it all sounds amazing!

Looks like you can toggle between the classic tracks and the new remixes on the fly, like in MP Superstars, it’s pretty dope

It's a small detail but feels iconic to the town as it's one of the first things you come across, and I'm really happy they kept it!

I hope this ends up being a soft reboot of the series. Basically, we're starting over circa 2004 with TTYD and now future PM games will be more in this style going forward.
I say that because Nintendo is marketing this heavily, and it doesn't have "remake" or "remastered" in the title.

Fun fact: A new badge will appear in the remake titled the Nostalgic Tunes Badge which, when, equipped, will replace the remade soundtrack with the original GameCube one (with the badge being shaped like the GameCube), and that's all we wanted to know. 😃😃😃 I hope it affects the Sound Gallery as well.

@@rosythewildflower Originally, the roulette machines had levers and artstyle more in line with what you would see in an irl casino.
ninjaydes they changed it cuz simulated gambling can get a game be m rated despite it being kid friendly otherwise. They are much more strict about that these days
