the thing that I admire is, there are so many types of modern transportation in Jakarta Indonesia, starting from the lower class and up, all of them are very comfortable and easy to find. that's what makes me feel more at home while in this country. Happy traveling friend, have a nice day.

@dandanramdhanik7720I know the new sport hall you refer is Indonesia Arena. Actually it is not only for basketball, although currently it is used for FIBA World Cup.
But it is designed for multi purpose, multi event. I hope it will also be used for VNL and FIVB World Championship next year, two major events for volleyball.

The most annoying card is the card that you buy at the MRT station, because it's only for the MRT while the card you're holding now can be used for all public transportation , Like MRT, LRT, BRT, Metro, etc. you can also pay at mini markets

aneh emang nggak ada kartu all in one gitu, dari hp aja terbatas hanya bank tertentu saja, aplikasi hanya KAI pay dan linkaja, e-money yg lain gak ada

Lebih mudah anda menggunakan kartu dari bank seperti EMONEY, BRIZZI, DAN KAIN-LAIN itu mempermudah kita naik angkutan umum kemana saja, namun ada beberapa kartu yang di khususkan seperti kartu dari bank DKI itu untuk wisata di sekitar jakarta dan jakblingko untuk angkot di jakarta.
Memang ribet jika belum faham, s harusnya cukup menggunakan satu kartu untuk seluruh angkutan umum.

I think you're the first travel vlogger I saw that managed to be the witness of Jakarta's newest public transportation. Yes, many vloggers tried the MRT, but they did it months later after the inauguration. You? Rode the brand new LRT on its first month of operation!
Jakarta's public transportation is being improved a lot. Within 6 years, we had (chronologically): Soekarno-Hatta Airport skytrain, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link, LRT Jakarta, MRT Jakarta, and then LRT Jabodebek. In a few weeks, our high-speed train would commence operation.
Yes, we're not as advanced as Singapore, KL, or Bangkok, yet. But we're improving.
But Jakarta has the best and most comprehensive bus system in ASEAN, so that's a plus side. The KRL works as a kind of metro train too, if you use it to travel within the city

The best bus system in Southeast Asia is undoubtedly Singapore.
Right, KAI Commuter Line is actually a kind of metro system. But there are few things that need to be considered: the headway, platform gap, tracks' right of way.
@@TeguhNugroho90 In opinion, BRT in advanced form of a bus system. BRT can still be called a bus system. Bus system in Singapore is still in traditional form with regular bus stop...instead of metro-like terminals of Trans Jakarta
We had a lot of fun using the LRT as we think it was very clean and very well managed. Also the platforms look very much like Bangkok already 😊

Idk whether you guys still in Jakarta until the end of this September. If yes, you should join the opening of "Jakarta - Bandung High Speed Rail" that will be started in this September 2023. The first High Speed Rail in South East Asia.
The public opening should be free charge (maybe 1 IDR for card registration) until this November.

Hi. I am glad you persevere to buy the card. Sorry for the complication. That's so annoying for me as Indonesian. I mean why don't the government just issue ONE CARD for all transports. IMPORTANT INFORMATION = The first High Speed Train in the Southern Hemisphere will be inagurated on Sept. 8. If you are still in Jakarta, you can try the HSR from Halim Station. To buy card basically consist 30.000 price for the card it self and 20000 for account deposit. You can use the LRT cost 5000 by reduce yours deposit

Surprising given how modern the facilities are that there’s no digital payment option! We have a small driverless DLR line in London in the U.K. but nothing on this grand scale.! Loving all the recycling facilities dotted around the station and platforms.
there is digital payment but limited to local only or foreigner that already living long time in IDN and holding IDN ID +/ IDN bank acc

@@jorogers4662 of course they have digital payments, duh! 😅in fact, all modes of transport in Indonesia, especially Jakarta are cashless. you pay by e-money card and if you see the tapping gate, there's a square with infrared, that's for QR code payment if you buy the ticket via apps.

If you come to Jakarta for one single Card LRT, MRT and train electricity or buy at Indomaret or Alfamart you should have emoney that you can buy at Indomaret or Alfamart, otherwise that you should have more than 1 Card to use different public transportation

Ya betul, yg paling penting adalah "PETUNJUK" or Sign Board, yaitu utk beli tiket, untuk Top Up, Utk naik, dll petunjuk dalam dua bahasa, AGAR TAK BINGUNG. klo soal Bahasa Inggris karyawan walaupun penting juga tapi lebih utama Sign Board atau PETUNJUK yg memudahkan agar tak menyusahkan penumpang, ya tadi itu petunjuk atau tulisan atau plang beli tiket di mana, dll

I suggest you when someday, both of you want to back to Jakarta, you can buy a card for all paying for MRT, LRT, CL train and Bus Transjakarta ( busway) , Indomaret e money card. You can buy the card at all Indomaret shop in indonesia.
And you can fill card for deposite too in Indomaret. Easy and simply.

@@jimmyputra4262Yg pertama tentunya di Jawa dulu. Di Jakarta dulu. Soalnya sudah sangat urgent/ mendesak. La ngapain mbangun LRT di kota yg penduduknya sangat sedikit, misalnya di Bolaang Mongondow yg penduduknya sangat sedikit. Menghabiskan dana saja kalau memang belum dioerlukan. Kota lain menyusul. Jika sudah diperlukan, pasti nantinya juga punya LRT.

This LRT Light Rail Train is only for short distance transportation while the bullet train with a max speed of 350 km per hour will only be launched next month, between Jakarta and Bandung with a distance of 142.3 km, check on Google or on TH-cam

Actually the fastest train in Indonesia in this time is Argo Bromo Anggrek from Jakarta to Surabaya (120 km/hour), but soon it will be beaten by High Speed Railway from Jakarta to Bandung (350km/hour)

9:42 that is not LRT Card. That is a Top up/Pre praid Card issued by BNI Bank, called “Tap Cash”. Bank BCA issued “Flazz”. Bank Mandiri issued “E-Money”. Bank BRI issued “Brizzi”. Those card can be used on MRT, LRT, KRL, Transjakarta, and Jaklingko (the small public transport colored blue).

@@sunkissedbucketlist on the other hand, the card that you had shown earlier on the video that you have, it is issued by the MRT Operator, so i think it only works on MRT
I do agree that the payment card here is still confusing, unlike singapore for example where ezlink is the only card you need. But in short:
- “e-money” card issued by banks (comes in different brands depending on the bank). it’s (almost*) universal, you can use it for public transits, toll, parking, grocery store, etc.;
- “transit card” issued by transport operators. only for specific purposes. this one definitely not recommended for tourists.
*i don’t know if there are common services that wont accept that card, so I can’t guarantee it’s definitely universal, just in case.

@@sunkissedbucketlist anyway, your new card “Tapcash” is the e-money card issued by BNI (Bank Negara Indonesia), so it should be good for other transport as well. I personally only have Mandiri e-money (Bank Mandiri), and have used it for TransJakarta, Commuter Line, and MRT.
In case of Commuter Line, you might need to tap it to their “Activation/Balance Check” machine before using it for the very first time. Just ask the employee, “Apa perlu aktivasi? Kartu baru, belum pernah dipakai untuk KRL” (Do I need to activate? new card, never been used for Commuter Line).

Kalau menonton youtube channel para turis, kasus spt ini selalu terjadi. Semoga menjadi catatan buat pemda serta manajemen LRT, MRT dan Transjakarta (dan juga tiket Monas). Kenapa mempersulit pengguna, khusunya turis asing. Harusnya kartu apaun yg berlaku bisa dipakai di semua moda transportasi di Jakarta.
Ada kendala bhs juga untuk orang asing yg bertanya... hmmm

as a daily commuter, I switch a part of my trip from CommuterLine (KRL) Cawang Station to LRT Cikoko, just to avoid transit-rush at Manggarai Station on my way to Dukuh (Sudirman) and continue with MRT to my office

Your card can be used for MRT, BRT and LRT. If you pay 50 k per card it is usually not only for the card but also for the balance. usually is 15 k for the card and 35k for the balance.
Thanks for letting us know however we had 18000 balance on each card so the card must be 32 thousand?
@@sunkissedbucketlistYes true. The “Tapcash” card that you have now is a multiuse card issued by our national bank, so its pretty expensive because you can hold it for your lifetime 😊. It also can be used for parking, toll road etc

If you are smart you will thougt that MRT and LRT is different Operator Co. So off course you can find by your self where the ticket station. Don't make local staff look like fool persons due to your mistake guys.
It is more better if you have local card owned by local bank like Mandiri e-toll card from bank Mandiri or Brizzy card from bank BRI etc. You can buy and top up as like as you can These card in every supermarket in Indonesia even in small town (such as alfamart. Indomaret, superindo, etc) or you can go to those bank directly. These card is very very usefull to go everywhere by mass transportation and you no need to buy the single card of specific transportation anymore...thank you.
Due to our mistake? Haha sure! We tried buying a ticket or a travel card from the station and there was no one at the ticket office. The staff themselves asked us if we had an MRT card so they could try and see if that worked at the LRT station. This is all in the vlog my friend. Have u even watched anything? Haha 😂

But the most important is the people that work in these public transport place must have english skills, you cannot expect every tourist which just travelling for many weeks to fluently speaks bahasa indonesia😂, nowadays many tourists came travel to indonesia and used public transportation so it’s a regulation and basic knowledge for their staffs to have english skills😂😂 btw these tourist also have learned a bit of bahasa too but you cannot expect them to be fully fluent

LRT train is not the fastest in Indonesia, but it is locally made, driverless & just launched few weeks ago.
You can try Indonesian Bullet Train (HSR) Jakarta -Bandung for the fastest train, it is up to 380km/h.
The bullet train will be impressive 😊

LRT is a new mode of transportation in Jakarta so the system is still not as good as MRT or Transjakarta. Apart from that, the Jakarta LRT train model is also very short and not spacious, so tall people are less comfortable. But I am still proud because the LRT train is made in Indonesia even though there are shortcomings. Hopefully in the future it can be a lesson about what needs to be improved.
It's LRT - of course it's smaller than MRT, lrt use light rail, shorter train for smaller capacity and usually serve suburban areas.

If you want to using public transport in jakarta, you can buy e money in Indomart/Alfamart, It can be more easier with this card. You can also top up in this card. E money can use in all of public transport in jakarta, like LRT, MRT, KRL, TransJakarta Bus, and also for Highway TOL and parking payment if you use a car.

It is not the fastest. The fastest is coming into operation around this September : high-speed train, currently for Jakarta-Bandung (two ways).

Why are you guys always meet some indonesian guys who cant speak english fluently , it's so funny 😅 , i swear many of young generation can speak english well or they still understand with broken english, I guess some people just nervous so they forget how to speak properly.. We learn english in every step of our education, OMG im so annoyed with that situation 😂
