I started my shop with the aim to be braver and change aspects of my life, due to your promotion it’s given me the confidence to explore my artistic side further. Speaking of accents....Back in the late 70's, I worked with an older lady who was from Liverpool, England and after working side by side with her for 8 hours a day, I'd end up talking just like her!! Dear Gayle, it’s early in the morning here in California, and your comments about kindness and joy brought tears to my eyes. I realize that for the last several years including the years since my sons passing that I have been expressing the need for joy and kindness. I am retired as well and it has been a hard few years but the tears of shedding are because you expressed something that I have been feeling as well. I’ve also been sitting here thinking if we lived closer having coffee with you would be a wonderful experience and I think we would be friends in person as well as online. Although I do not have a store, I love to make things and give them to friends. In the everyday, I say hello to all I meet in my neighbourhood streets. Young adolescent men particularly, walk around with their heads down. I call it my 'kindness project'. I want to thank you for all you do. It gives me so much pleasure.
Gayle, seriously, have you ever known a crafter who did not "need" more stash?? Who knows where we will store it but we need it none the less!! I grew up in Wyoming but now I have lived in Florida for 20+ years and I've had people tell me I have a very different accent...I don't think I have an accent at all but other people certainly do!!! I have had great fun with differences in local sayings with my sons neighbors in Illinois. Here in KY I say chocolate Pie with long I. My sons neighbor kept talking about Pie with soft I and more emphasis on the e. He"s originally from Jersey. I told him I was pretty sure anyone who said Pie-e, had never had a home made Pi. He said his mom made homemade Pie-e. He helped her pour it into the bowl from the pudding box. Lol He was a hoot!

If someone doesn't like your site then they are a Grinch, grabby apple. You are always uplifting and full of great ideas. I found something that I had made, inspired by you and I was so proud of myself. It was like I had received happy mail. It's fun to clean your craft room. You talking about accent I'm from Nebraska and the thing my kids laugh about is we say "warsh" instead of wash. One more thought I admire how you can cut paper and get it right without measuring. Mine are always off some how. I just think part of the creating.

I sit and watch your videos here across the pond every evening while my husband snores next to me asleep in bed. Sometimes it's even more entertaining because as I have to have you on quietly I also put the 'subtitles/captions'' on which often throw up the most hilarious translations of what some auto-translate app thinks you're saying !! Makes me chuckle out loud! You wouldn't believe some of them! :D I would love free stash but not sure if it will extend to crossing the ocean! I've made lots of journals now (have sold quite a few which is wonderful) and am completely hooked, addicted and submerged in paper joy, but I haven't done an altered book yet - I think after fulfilling Christmas orders, that an altered book will be my next new project after watching yours :) Thankyou for being such good company :)

Probably too late now, but I've used dental floss to remove those foam pop dots before and it works. You slice them in half so then you can remove the bulk. Just purchased those Antique Paperie pages, they're beautiful.

I sit and watch your videos here across the pond every evening while my husband snores next to me asleep in bed. Sometimes it's even more entertaining because as I have to have you on quietly I also put the 'subtitles/captions'' on which often throw up the most hilarious translations of what some auto-translate app thinks you're saying !! Makes me chuckle out loud! You wouldn't believe some of them! :D I would love free stash but not sure if it will extend to crossing the ocean! I've made lots of journals now (have sold quite a few which is wonderful) and am completely hooked, addicted and submerged in paper joy, but I haven't done an altered book yet - I think after fulfilling Christmas orders, that an altered book will be my next new project after watching yours :) Thankyou for being such good company :)

You have inspired me to try making another altered book in the Christmas theme. I love what you have done in your book so far. Before, I pulled out all the extra pages and then went through and decorated the pages, and it just didn't come out quite right. I still like it because it is Tim Holtz, but I want to try your way! Finally caught up..😍 on your videos, yes a Giveaway stash would be great. I have purchased Christmas tags, some look like ornaments, their flat. I am going to cover the back of them with coffee/tea dyed paper to cover up the To N From and the I am going to fill my pockets with them. You can write on the back of them. Beautiful tags and bags. Probably too late now, but I've used dental floss to remove those foam pop dots before and it works. You slice them in half so then you can remove the bulk. Just purchased those Antique Paperie pages, they're beautiful.
