£33 pre-booked, £42 turn up on the day. Agreed, total rip-off, and around 60% of the waxworks look nothing like the celebrities they're supposed to be.
I remember many, many years ago when I lived in London as a young lad, I visited this place with my family. Cost almost next to nothing to get in, no rip-offs in those days. As has been said, the likenesses of the “celebrities” (???) left much to be desired! The Planetarium next door was much more interesting, but it looks like it is now part of Tussauds, don’t know if it’s still a planetarium though. On a last note, I enjoy TLA showing a more cosmopolitan London to the one I am used to, our family owned two lovely hotels, one in Russel Square and one in Bayswater. Both now sold off. TLA’s travels bring back memories of my younger days, Thank You!
@@mavicmeister29I visited the planetarium and madam tussauds in the 90s. Happy memories of my younger years. I remember bigger queues of people waiting to get inside back then.
He couldn't let it go, give us your details this is not China you're free to film, whatever your eyes can see , she was pointlessly boring Keeping people safe 😂
It’s to prevent reconnaissance for terrorism, in London, ESPECIALLY Central London they’re not going to take kindly to you shoving a camera in a place where it’s abnormal to film, 99% of the people they see won’t be filming that location like a security office, and I’m sorry there’s a clear sign in the video saying “security”.
@@JGmedia18Yeah that was a bit weird. Having asked if you needed any help,it's an obvious question. 'Go online' the default setting for everything these days.
It's almost like they are seeing a photographer/ videographer for the very first time and haven't seen hundreds or thousands of passers-by / tourists with cameras in the past !!!
I’m sure the reason there is no admission price information on show is because most people would turn around and flee if they knew how expensive it is. I’ve been there several times but the last time about 9 years ago shocked me with the price. Also the standard of the exhibits inside has gone way down . You can see better dummy’s in most shop windows! Complete rip off these days.
Talk about smoke and mirrors. The high court case they talk about in the trespass notice relates to 3 people who gained access to Merlin Premises and not every member of the public
But wait a minute.... When a member of the public is outside "the actual tourist attraction that they intend to visit" ..... "they directly ask the public relations officer ".... "how much it is to get in" ....and they get told "look yourself online".... it seems to me there's a major public relations problem!
Madam 2 Sods! 😂😂 you made me pee ma pants!!! You laugh the exact same way as my late husband did! Even my daughters think you sound like there daddy! (No I’m not implying you are)! 🤣 what I’m tryin to say here is, your laugh is infectious and we all like it! 😊
I have a science degree thanks to the interest generated in me by that green dome next to two-swords! Now just another disgusting tourist rip-off, £33!!!!
You don’t want to keep your “team” safe….because it’s a camera…so there is no threat…you want to harvest someone’s personal details so you can hand them on to the authorities…that’s what you want to do…because you think you’re important and have the right to hassle members of the public
Approaching someone and launching into a "we have to keep our team safe" monologue is essentially them equating the cameraman as a danger or threat. Not sure how this goes over peoples heads. Who do they think they are
@slayedbymeslayedbyme40 how has he hassled anyone at work from a public footpath if every business says that we wouldn't have public footpaths cause every business would own them oh hold on good idea let that happen we would pay less taxes and company's pay more mind u how would u walk to work if u can't use public footpaths think about it
They were honestly fine here, only reason the second "sod" was classified as such was because she wasn't game for you winding her up! And in all honesty the first guy was just doing his job and didn't really go over any lines. He would probably have been content with knowing your TH-cam channel or email address he probably wasn't after your home address and mother's maiden name!
PR manager.... What a polite, well-spoken, articulate lady. Certainly a great public facing representative of Merlin Entertainment. And gorgeous as well!....... No ring either! Blimey, if I were single..........
Wow, the tickets seem to start at £33 and up. That why they don't advertise the prices outside. They don't want to scare people in advance. Great video.
The women was a lot more amenable and behaved in a pleasant manner. Anywhere thats accessible from public is fair game, they should know that. Theres a way to speak to people
Why don’t they buy some nice net curtains, they make them in all widths and lengths from eBay, just bought some new ones for the kitchen and they are not that dear.
The PR really is the 'embodiment of professionalism'!! A really lovely lady!!😊
Yes she is very likeable! And Thankyou!
She did a great job
the PR lady was a plant she's paid to be nice! In reality she don't care!
Security asking public for their details is always hilarious
The PR lady was cool, very professional!
Yes, but how does she keep that fringe up? It defies gravity. 😂
She was ight. Posh
Tussauds is one of the biggest rip offs in London, thats why they only put the admission prices online.

I'd still spend 5 minutes with her

When they use the phrase for your safety there just trying to shut you down.
Why do you say “China” when the yanks are far worse at demanding id ( usually illegally ) !!!!

Bored and frustrated, too.
They're all smoking weed
Yeah, everyone is now scared of their own shadow 😮

She’s not bad looking
She was nice
Could you then lol
Baldys probably had a pop
Legend has it she’s still holding that blind over the window
The English rose was tidy.
Have these SECURITY people never heard of using privacy one way tint? 😂
They always love trying to abuse their miniscule amount of power
That lady is brilliant and beautiful. Great at her job and easy on the eye.😊
I thought they kept the dummies inside. There are people who wear more clothes and some wear less clothes. I'm a lesson.
"Fewer" clothes. 👍
"Fewer" clothes.
PR lady top notch.
They have a goldfish bowl office with big windows and dodgy blinds just off the Marylebone Road and they expect privacy? Give me a break.
Just what i was thinking. If you're so worried, get some proper blinds ffs!
And slap head comes back with a woman asking for your details what gives him the rights
No reason for bauldie to dazzle folks with his noggin,,,you'd think there would be dozens of spare wigs kicking about a wax works he could utilise.
I haven't heard that word since school - I think I'm going to start using it again ;-)

Quite. And quickly runs away to get PR to help him out! Some security he proved to be. A mouse would probably frighten the poor sod.
So happy to see that Jimmy Somerville has got himself sorted with a nice security job after the singing career finished 😂😂, brilliant as always TLA
My first thought was "Ooh,Jimmy Somerville has lost his accent"😅
Bless, he tried his best but still failed.
"our management have politely requested etc"... would have been fine.
That pr lady was delightful, very professional..her face was rather shiny and so smooth..almost wax like..hmm 😅
Ha. She was very cool - love the way she casually dismisses baldy with a wave of the hand. Very classy.

These front-end goons aren't likely even directly employed by these establishments. Outsourcing is to blame.
That PR lady is an absolute big honey so she is. I’d no last 10 seconds with her ❤
Taylor Swift vibes at a distance. A class lady :)
Correction: "we need to know" should be "we'd like to know because we are nosy and paranoid."
It's ironic, all phones have cameras...people could be filming in secret....its just an age of PARANOIA...EVERYONE is so scared 😂
I wondered where the Kojak waxwork ended up.. 🤣
The PR manager was lovely, beautiful lady. Jimmy Somerville needs to relax a bit.
Talk about smoke and mirrors. The high court case they talk about in the trespass notice relates to 3 people who gained access to Merlin Premises and not every member of the public
why the fek is this building protected by the courts? why are they special? never broken in to but have a Court order on it?!
Cos it's got a facsimile of the queen inside 😁
Me thinks they lie
That smacks of bollocks to me, how can someone be held in "contempt of court" when they have had no dealings whatsoever with this court?

A disgraceful way to describe our late HM.
They hired well with the PR manager. It's a good job they didn't put baldy in that role
