  • 🎵 How brightly shines the Morning Star - Organ Performance by Manuel Böhm 🎵
Today I'm back at the organ at the church in Obereisenhausen. I am pleased to present you this small and beautiful chorale prelude for two manuals and pedal on "How beautifully shines the morning star" by Niels Wilhelm Gade from 1852. The beautiful, well-known melody is accompanied by a very romantic accompaniment and the gentle registration suits this piece perfectly.

I have never heard this before but i love it. The organ has such a mellow sound that goes well with your choice of music….or perhaps it was the stops you chose? Well done.

      @@dillarddillard-p4e Thanks!🙏
I'm glad to hear that you like the piece🤗
The mellow sound is due to the choice of stops. In particular the Principal 8' from the HW has a very warm character and was therefore excellent for the melody. With some other 8' stops, gentle flutes and principals the organ sounds quite romantic, although it is actually a neo-baroque organ.😄🎶
For the accompaniment I chose an 8' flute and a soft 4' principal on the second manual :)
      Stay tuned!🤗😄🎶
