I'm an old fart. Only ever heard the Steeleye Span version. This version though is awesome! It's one of those unexpected pieces that the metal genre wears so well. Great job.
This is like the first song I ever heard at the first Tull concert I ever attended, when Steeleye Span opened for Tull I remember this, and went out the next day and bought some of their albums and followed them for many years. They had a lot of great albums acoustic and electric. What a great group they were. Parcel of Rogues and Below The Salt ... classics.
I always get Gaudete stuck in my head this time of year, thinks to myself, a metal treatment of this would be awesome and heads to google... find this, hear the black guitar is tuned in the key of M, and the operator may have skill, think to myself, this could be good... then this mad hybrid transatlantic/medieval sound comes out... nice work guys :D Love this. *reposts*

Fantastic, a brilliant version interpretation of a classic track, if there's one area that could be improved upon it's the vocals, more range would be needed, and a female voice would have it nailed?!
