I ventured down to Florida to do a quick Hydroturf install on my uncles 21 foot deck boat! The boat is a Key West Oasis, and my uncle has spent some time and money the past year slowly restoring the boat. The final piece to the puzzle was an eva foam deck flooring, which he let me talk him into pulling the trigger on!
In this full tutorial guide video, I will install custom cut sheet material Hydroturf eva foam inside the fiberglass boat. The end result looks as if the eva foam was a machine cut kit specifically for this boat! I will show you a few things covering the eva foam material, the prep, how I like to layout the interior of the boat, how I template and cut the Hydroturf, the installation process, some tips and tricks along the way, and the finished project. So are the cut edges straight up and down? I noticed on manufactured pattern pieces there is a slight bevel on all the edges. Is that something you worry about or not an issue?

Thank you great video. I want to do the same with my yacht however is 38 feet long and would require a lot of linking up pieces. I did see that you did the same on 15:15. On my yacht it will be on areas where a lot of walking will take place. My concern is that it wil lift up due to small pieces. What is your vies on this?

On your video I see that you pasted it directly onto the textured part. That was my idea as well. My concern is does the EVA stck properly onto the textured part or do I need to sand it down to be smooth. What is your opinion?
