The #1 and single most important feature is the ability to cycle oil to the cam phasers before cold starting... depress the pedal all the way down, simultaneously pressing and holding the start button for 5 sec, release the gas pedal and start button at the same time... this will greatly aid in the prevention of cam phaser rattles.

Hey. Thanks for watching. It does work on previous generation Ford vehicles as well but the options/things you can customize is a much more limited list since more things were manual function and fewer things ran through ECU/BCM.

Good info! Do you know if you can adjust the camera to stay on the display instead of turning off once you hit 5 mph? Also can you adjust tailgate to stay unlocked separate from the rest of the truck?
Thank you. Unfortunately the speed restricted options would require hardware mods to my knowledge. I tried to disable the side mirror spot lights from shutting off at 10mph but forscan can't modify those settings. It allows you to disable tailgate release from the fob but not the lock and unlock pairing. Here is the spreadsheet that explains the forscan settings I used. @@stefansibincic5693 It cuts off the last letter in Raptor. It has the cut out for the Ford Oval so its not perfect for the Raptor logo but works.
Can you make it so that default drive mode is always “sport” ? I hate the auto start stop and have to disable it every time I start the car or I have to shift to sport. Would love it to be always sport and I can switch to normal if o desire.

I agree. Im biased though because my Gen1 was silver and now the Gen2 is as well. Something about the trim that just flows with the silver.

Hi. Thanks for watching. This is done through the forscan tool that adjusts configuration in the programming of the vehicle. What you can configure is dependent on the options the truck has. I can run through each of these 5 items for the Raptor:
1. Power Folding Mirrors will work on the 801A and 802A packages as power folding mirrors are not available on the 800A raptor.
2+3. The horn sound disable and shift lock will only work with the 802A as the truck needs keyless proximity entry. The fob with the physical key and turn ignition on the 800A and 801A packages will not do it.
4. Will work on all raptors.
5. This ones more so for non raptors but if the regular f150 has factory fog lights, you can disengage the cutoff setting for when the high beam comes on.

What year does the Foreskin Start on the Raptor
Thanks for watching. Forescan (I think you have a very funny auto-correct there) works on the Gen1 Raptor (2011-2014) as well as Gen2 Raptors (2017+). Limited Capability on the 2010 Raptor (GEM Module).....the 2012-2014 Raptors (BCM Module) had some more settings you could play with.
The 2010 Raptor using forscan could do maybe 5-6 basic things like Enable/Disable DRLS, Set the tire pressure warning levels, turn auto lock on/off, and adjust welcome light settings.
The 2011-2014 Raptor could do some extra things like disable seatbelt reminders, disable door ajar chime, enable navigation menu when in motion.
The Gen2 raptor in the video probably ha 20 things you can adjust. This video is really the 5 coolest ones. Hope that helps.Thanks again for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button!

I have a 2020 raptor and I have to physically press the folding mirror button while the car still has power. Is there a way I can turn on the folding and unfolding for the lock and unlock?

Hey. Thanks for watching. It really needs a better name haha. To do this, you would need to install the software on a windows device and then hook up to the OBD2 port and change the appropriate setting code. This video does a really good job of explaining it and specifically talks about the mirror mod: th-cam.com/video/RjxX6aXyRvU/w-d-xo.html. If the dealer you service it has a big service department, someone in the dept has to have forscan and might be able to do it for you quickly.

I just bought a 2020 Raptor in Magnetic. Any tips you can give i'm all ears!
Congrats on the Raptor! You will love it. Don't take it through an automatic car wash. Rear wheel well liners are a good add-on in salt areas. The Raptor does make a good amount of brake dust. I had a Ceramic pro shop ceramic coat my wheels (and windshield) for $350 and cleaning them is a breeze. Be mindful of throttle in sport mode on rainy days, lots of torque so rear end kicks out real fast when you punch it on wet pavement.....biggest tip, enjoy it like its meant to be enjoyed :)

@@Lerxstification The owners manual actually says that the Raptor is too wide for most automated car washes. I should have specified, a touchless, non-tracked one is fine but you also run the risk with a 12.5 wide tire of popping out of most car wash tracks.

Hey. Thanks for watching. I made that change as soon as I bought the truck. My state also requires a front plate, and after 20 months and 10k miles, I have not had any issues with this set up. The law requires that it be "mounted and visible without obstruction" in my state. It technically is visible, just have to be low to the ground or further out. I am kind of walking a gray area but so far so good :) I think it comes down to the officer on if they want to cite that. Its so close to the legality line that it probably isn't worth their time.

I've also always disliked the fact that the rear wheel wells on trucks aren't black!!... Even b4 I watched yur video, I painted mine with that elastic paint from Home Depot... I think $6 or $7 per can.... Took 1 can per wheel well & looks GREAT!!!!... I don't know how to post a pic here or I'd show u...lol...

Hey! Great idea. I've thought about doing something similar. I installed rock lights so a plastic liner would require taking the lights back out. Paint is probably the best way. I might go straight to bedliner like you said cause the texture would match the front liners nicely.

Yes it is.... the Raptor is 6+ inches wider than the "normal" F150.... you can tell & feel it as u drive & park.
@@1lyonmantilldeath433 Think about that for a second. The cab dimensions of the Raptor are NO different than the normal F150. The mirrors mount to the cab. Yes the wheels are wider and the front and rear quarter panels are wider to accommodate that. Mirror width isn’t taken into account when measuring overall vehicle dimensions. The cab and doors are literally the only body panels the Raptor shares with the F150.
