Essential Quality's First Foals Look the Part

The first foals by champion Essential Quality are hitting the ground now, so we stopped in to visit a few of the new arrivals. We also talked to Darley's Kate Galvin about why it is a good time to breed to the son of Tapit in his second year at stud.

I LOVE retired sound,raced medication free. In my opinion, that's what the breed needs. Beautiful walk on him, and very impressed by his foals shown.

I was so thrilled over this. Essential Quality is a "nephew" to my beloved boy (in my pic), out of a half sister Delightful Quality sired by the same great Elusive Quality. My boy passed away not long ago, but it is exciting to see his line carried on so perfectly. I just bought into a new 2yo colt by Liam's Map out of a Flightline mare, will be training w/ D.Wayne Lukas. Very exciting!

Can't wait to see his foals on the racetrack. His win in the 2021 Belmont is one of my favorite Belmont Stakes wins, wish he stayed unbeaten. But a good horse indeed

I picked Essential Quality when he was a two year old and continued to bet on this horse until he retired to stud. I have multiple framed pictures of EQ and he deserved every award. I was disappointed that he retired so soon, but I read where this racehorse could have made another million racing, his stud earnings would be in the millions, I am also a fan of Brad Cox and love this beautiful horse EQ. Can not wait to see all his foals at the track. My favourite is Spin The Bottle.
