    This has been an interesting watch, coming from someone who was once a Jun main! I like the reincarnation theory, even if it's not plausible due to Asuka's age in the timeline, and it would put more focus on Asuka's relevence in the main story again.
    As for Jun's future inclusion, I believe that she needs to be given a chance to shine in the next mainstream game, and not in a spinoff. If she's being considered too boring, make her more interesting:
    - Include her in the Jin/Kazuya feud. She's the mother of Jin, and she going to finally step up and put a stop to it. She doesn't have to be the mediator. Have her accept that she may have to kill either her son or her love interest to save the world, if she cannot save the both of them.
    - Offer a reasonable explaination as to why she's been missing this whole time. If her alter-ego as Unknown can be accepted as canon, then her disappearance can be justified because of her being held hostage by the Wolf Spirit for decades, and she only just now found a way to finally break free from its spell. As to why the Wolf Spirit would want to hold her hostage, have the deity foresee Jun interfering with Jin/Kazuya feud's that would eventually end with the world being torn apart, forcing it to take Jun hostage and allow the feud to continue in the hopes of convincing Jun that humanity isn't worth saving and that she should allow the world to end and let nature reclaim Mother Earth again.
    - If Unknown cannot be introduced to the mainstream game, then have Jun be spending decades recovering from a coma after being attacked by Ogre, and then left to die in a wilderness far, far away from society. Once Jun awakens, she's forced to become a hermit and spend decades alone learning how to walk, eat, and fight again. By the time she has fully recovered, she finally finds the opportunity to make contact with Jin and Kazuya, and tries to put an end to their feud.
    - Expand Jun's moveset so that it reflects her background more. Make her different from Zafina and Kazumi by allowing Jun to freely transform into Unknown, showing that Jun has essentially accepted Unknown as part of herself, and is therefore until her control.
    These are all just in the top of my head. Jun still has a chance to appear in Tekken 8, and it would be a shame for her potential to go to waste.

    • @equanimity92

      "once a Jun main" darn...looks I was a little too late😅 But hey, You make fantastic points, and I couldn't agree more. Maybe I should revise my First theory and add this : Maybe...just maybe...Part of Jun's spirit became embedded into Asuka,(not unlike how Kazuya's soul split into two) which could explain why Asuka has powers she may not yet be aware of, and her strong likeness and resemblance to Jun - So the correct terminology would be "Transmigration"(Moving from one body into another existing body) rather than "Reincarnation"
      Also...Call me crazy, but I feel like there may be future plans for Asuka in the story that might shock us regarding this. And you're absolutely right, The Kazama family needs to be expanded on, as there is so much mystique surrounding their heritage and abilities.
      And yes, I totally agree, They really need to stop teasing us with Jun and Unknown in Non-Canon games.

    Yakushima Japan... known for its enchanted forests and sacred giants of old. Suddenly it makes a lot more sense as to why Jun's story was tied into Ogre's and the Devil's. This all relates back to stories of pre-civilization, when one nation ruled the earth. Yakushima's forest is known for the oldest tree in Japan, which is a giant cedar tree... cedar trees have special occult significance which I don't fully understand. But the fact she comes from this ancient, enchanted place, whose history reaches back 7,000 years ago... before written history began... I think there's something to this theory.
    Giants are said to be the children of fallen angels (devils) who mated with women. Interesting that Tekken includes an angel. It is my belief that Jun descends from naga priestesses, who are offshoots of the Enki priestesses who spanned the entire world before the cataclysm. Enki being, basically, the devil (or one of his many forms). This might all sound crazy to an outsider, but lots of powerful people believe in this stuff. It's in all media, so it's no surprise it's here too. Ogre can be said to be a war machine created with the blood of giants, humans, and animals. While he seems to be of native american origin, I think "Atlantean" would be more accurate. Jun and Ogre's stories reach back to a common ancient root.
    Enki is very much the Sumerian equivalent of Lucifer. Though he is portrayed more favorably by them. He "freed" mankind from ignorance, taught us the art of civilization (and war!), and formed kingdoms around the world with his host of fallen angels. It's hard for me to say this without offering some Biblical perspective to balance it, but the old mythologies very much honored this figure the Hebrews would later call the devil. Note that "Satan" and "the devil" can refer to both Lucifer and all or any of his fellow fallen angels or their demon/nephilim/rephaim offspring. One of his native American equivalents is Quetzalcoatl.

    Jun told Jin to find his grandfather. He did and was trained by him. This is why Jin fought just like Kazuya in Tekken 3. I believe Jun is still alive to.

    Another note while watching this video:
    - In Tekken the devil gene comes from the Hachijo family. Hachijo means something along the lines of "eight articles" or "eight clauses" or "eight muscles" (try to conceive of why the kanji for jo 条 can mean any of these things lol). I'm not sure what the "jo" part of the name means, but hachi (八) means eight. Eight (8) is the infinity symbol turned on its side. Both the 8 and the infinity symbol can be called a "mobius". The mobius is directly related to the symbol of the "snake eating its own tail". This symbol is related to time and death, and most notably: the devil. In the old world pantheons, the god Saturn was always associated with aging, time, death, harvest. He is the devil in the Bible (Star of Remphan, Tabernacle of Moloch) who is called the "snake who deceives the whole world".
    Different cultures connect these symbols in different ways, but I can assure you that in Babylonian school of thought (the kind used by elites) Tekken's symbolism tells a perfectly coherent "story" beyond what the layman is meant to perceive. The symbolism of things tends to be a second language for those with eyes to see. And I mean that literally, in the sense that the creators of this game knowingly use this method of language. Those who are initiated can read these meanings like words in a sentence, and derive deeper understanding than those who can not. That said, I am not initiated into any school, but I do study them.
    And before anyone says "this is Japan, none of that is relevant" --- you're wrong. The Japanese (both Jomon and Yayoi, and Ainu) all descend from the same survivors of civilization that Europeans, Africans, Americans, Indians, Chinese, etc. all descend from. And furthermore, the people who made this game are not ancient Japanese people, but modern globalized Japanese people who are initiated into all the same "western" fraternities as any other bigwig in any other country would be. This is why Sonic and Mario games are littered with this sort of symbolism (go look into it, I'm worried I'll get censored for sharing too much). The snake circles back and eats it tail; everything goes around to come around. Nothing new under the sun. This is their language, I know it when I see it.

      This is why the original Tekken stages were mysterious ancient ruins of global heritage, like Angkor Wat. This is why a Japanese mob like the Mishima Zaibatsu is brazenly waging war inside US borders, against US natives.

      First I really just want to thank you for the support! Secondly, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts like this! And man oh man what in-depths thoughts they are! 👀I thought I recognized that Hachi prefix from Initial D (HachiRoku). Seems I'll need to go deeper still into the Kanji used as there really is symbolism in the smallest details, just like you mentioned.

    or what if she comes back in tekken 8 and she was Asuka's teacher who taught her how too fight it would seem logical as 3 kazuma only are up to date. Jin,Jun,Asuka. if she it would explain why the 2 have very fimilar fighting style and clothing style. Also i think it was mention that Jin did have Kazuma Fighting style but he switch to Karate it could mean Jun disappear from Jin to let him live by himself in which he wasnt fully taught to harness the Devil Gene, and Jun decide to teach Asuka a member of the Kazuma clan her fighting style so that one day she could save Jin if she isnt there anymore.

    Saw your response to my theory and saw your video. Excellent theories on your part! Loved it! Never played Tekken Tag 2. Didn't know that they did that to Jun! How about this new theory: Ogre attacks her. Dying of her wounds, she uses her powerful psychic abilities to split herself in 2; Unknown and Asuka! Both are Jun; even though Asuka is not aware of it. Because of that, both will appear in T8. Unknown maybe villain type but she's not evil at all. Ogre will appear in the game as well; as the final Boss and the closing chapter of the Devil Gene and Kazuya vs. Jin. I say in the final scenes of the next game, Kazuya is able to get the Devil Power away from Jin and Jun displays her True Power! Together fully powered up, they destroy True Ogre and rest in peace finally together. No more Unknown, Angel or Devil. Jin and Asuka live.

    I think another possibility is that Asuka is NOT an incarnation of Jun Kazama. But rather Jun has taken on an astral or ethereal form and possessed Asuka.

  • @Cherry91
    @Cherry91 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey there :-) Thanks for inviting me to watch your video. I did like it and I'd like to share my thoughts.
    I'm dismissing the first theory. Considering the four years of difference between Jin and Asuka, it seems improbable that Asuka is a reincarnation of Jun. Asuka was already born when Jun disappeared. She was 11.
    The second theory seems more plausible. After all, if the Hachijo clan has allied with the devil, or so I understand it anyway, it wouldn't be impossible that the Kazama has allied with angels. I say this because of the thematic of good VS evil prevailing in Tekken 2 and continuing to some extent through Jin's dual personality. I don't know if she's gone for good. I hypothesize that maybe she's been "dorment" somewhere, waking up to play an intermediation role in the conflict between Kazuya and Jin.
    Jun being Unknown is also very interesting. Actually, her becoming an antagonist would be an intriguing route. I'd be interested to see how both Jin and Kazuya would react to that. I'm not sure whether we'll see her again in a canonical entry. Tekken has reached a point where it'd make sense to bring her back. But whatever they decide to with her character, they better not pull the same bullshit like with the Williams sisters just so they can keep her young. That'd be an unforgivable mistake the community would make them pay direly for. Jun is Namco's most valuable asset character wise. They better do good by her.

    • @Cherry91
      @Cherry91 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean, Kazuya hasn't aged either. He's still apparently 49. There seems to be no major time skip between the events of Tekken 4 and 7 as far as we've been told, which is absolutely nonsensical to me. I'd say Jin is around at least 22 by now, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's older and time passed without us being made aware of it. There's also the fact that the devil gene seems to keep its possessor young. So that could explain why Jin and Kazuya haven't aged. But I'm still not convinced Asuka is a reincarnation of Jun.

    • @equanimity92
      @equanimity92  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Cherry91 "The Devil gene seems to keep its possessor young" now THATS an interesting theory😎 And a pretty cool one at that. I like this! And yes, This is why I presented 3 possible theories as opposed to one, as there can be many interpretations of what may have happened until we get some official answers. Because time seems to be irrelevant now in the story, as...just like you mentioned, seemingly no time has passed since Tekken 4, yet There were very clearly defined time gaps in the first 3 games.

    • @Cherry91
      @Cherry91 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. Honestly the last game where things made sense was Tekken 4. It just went downhill from there. Hopefully the next game will have good writers on board so that the gaps can filled in. They need to expand more on the devil gene, of which there's still a lot we don't know about. Same thing regarding the Kazama's powers. I'm baffled that they haven't been given any major role since they're the most important family after the Mishima. This is the main reason I don't believe Asuka is Jun reincarnated. If she had been, they would've had her play a bigger part inatever that thing she has with Lili is and her TK5 ending was just there to justify her last name. Finally, the Hachijo need to be the next villains for me, not Kazuya. I'm of the opinion that a feudake sense. They don't know each other, don't have a history. Their only connection is through Jun and the devil gene. They have a lot more in common that they should explore. I'm tired of the same old father vs son fighting to the death and throwing the loser down a high place XD between Jin and Kazuya doesn't mthe main storyline. Instead, she's relegated to wh

    I do like your ideas but, tekken never touched on the topic of reincarnation, so I really doubt Asuka is the reincarnation of Jun because for reincarnation to happen Jun would actually need to die and Harada has said countless times that Jun isn't dead so reincarnation wouldn't work, although that would be interesting to explore, and the manga I've read confirms that Jin and Asuka are cousins so, Harada saying they're not cousins sends confusion, if Jin and Asuka aren't cousins, then what's their relationship clansman? Potential Lovers? What? Interesting ideas though!
