Gosh, I remember this bolt. I've tried time and time again to find a video of it, and I'm so glad this is the video I've come across of this specific 'bolt after all this time. It's been unfortunately removed, but dude, this video is so awesome.
Well when Mahoning County got their first batch of Whelens in the late 1990s, they just stopped maintaining stuff. So in theory all the old sirens “could work” but old legacy sirens installed in the early 1950s I’d find hard to believe they all still work.
@@queencitysirens8755 a while back, they were doing renovation on the U-Haul building. And then when I drove past the building after the renovation, the bolt was gone
It is 2020 the city should do another Chopper Swap back to a 1000 Chopper if one can be found if not it should be taken down and restored by a local Siren Enthusiast
Well they haven’t maintained any of their old CD Sirens in over 20 years, so it’s kinda pointless considering they have 52 other sirens that they need to focus on.

It's a miracle it even rotates. If only someone could fix it...
Blower works too
any vids of the thunderbolt before it died
Yes
@@queencitysirens8755 doubt it
Wait, while the chopper worked, no. But I have heard this in person many times.
@@queencitysirens8755 must of been awesome
For 5 years and they haven't fixed the Thunderbolt.
Does the blower even work?
I'm pretty sure the blower works. They stopped maintaining this unit nearly 20 years ago.
@@queencitysirens8755 How stupid!
Should be fixed, or it's just a waste of electricity.

Yeah, this is the siren that pretty much started my passion for outdoor warning systems. I hope to get this unit someday and plan on restoring it.
