In East Asian mythos Altair and Vega are a couple with Altair being a cowherd with their two children (the two smaller stars next to Altair) on earth and Vega a goddess on the other side of the Milky Way in Heaven; Altair is forever "chasing" Vega and every year the two lovers get to meet once when birds form a bridge across the Milky Way which is described as a river in these myths.
Thank you so much for guiding us to navigate the wonders in the sky. I live in the highest elevations and darkest sky on the planet in the mountains where we have K2 Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi. I have started looking up in the sky for the last three years and it has been soul lifting. More than this it comes so naturally to me.
You have a perfect tone for me anyway - lots of down to earth, interesting but not too overwhelming information, and you sound friendly and relatable and you like cats. Subscribed!
Just inside of the triangle between Vega and Altair you will find the "coat hanger" asterism. A nice pair of 8x42 or 10x50 binoculars will bring it into view and help keep you interested in backyard star gazing. Alberio is a beautiful double in a 3-4 inch telescope. Keep your head to the sky.
“That’s Deneb, Altair, and Vega” With your finger, you pointed out the summer triangle I remember that as I see the sky I finally found you, Orihime But I wonder where Hikoboshi is At this rate, you’ll be all alone Looking up from a pitch-black word The stars were like snow fluttering in the night sky I wonder when it started, When I began to chase after you Please hear me out Listen, without being shocked To these feelings of mine

I'm not a stargazer to say the least, but I randomly noticed a triangle shape in the sky while looking out my window and now I know what I saw after a quick search hehe, thx :))
Seeing the summer triangle is very fascinating. but now I see why you love the head of the summer constellation Cygnus it's brightest star called Albireo🔥❄ 8:09
no on ever left this earth system so how are they possibly able to say one star is this far or that far, or this hot, and has this many planets and so on...and i want no know where they get there map
The Swan looks more like a sword to me! If you pretend the Summer Triangle is a triangular shield, then we can invent a new constellation: sword and shield!
Honestly, this does depend on where you live. For example, I can still see the summer triangle when I go out tonight even though it is winter. But I can only see it right at sunset, and a little bit during sunrise. It is most prominent during the summer months in the northern hemisphere.

Spectacular view!

Albireo is not the brightest star of Cygnus.
This is worthy.
"Here's the Deneb Altair and Vega
You pointed at the great summer triangle"
The star left to altair is tarazed and the star right to altair is Alshain(Beta Aquilai)

I need to learn all about cassiopeia constellation. Do you have anything on that one ?
Yes…I have a Cassiopeia video: th-cam.com/video/alpyce4tupk/w-d-xo.html
@@learnthesky thank you 😊 🙏
Thanks ❤
I seen this and found summer triangle
I can also see the albireo star slighting
Albireo is one of my favorite stars. A beautiful gold and blue optical double star.
Why are summer triangle and winter triangle named so?
When to watch them in countries like India??
They are named that because of the season in which they can be seen. In India you should be able to see both winter and Summer Triangle.
@@learnthesky but what about different seasons on northern and southern hemisphere?
@@im_prachi did you find it? I want to spot deneb too, from India
@@Jee2024IIT well.. I'm not sure if I really saw that. Cuz I was so desperate to see it and so i used to join every 3 stars to make a triangle. 😭
The Swan looks more like a sword to me! If you pretend the Summer Triangle is a triangular shield, then we can invent a new constellation: sword and shield!
I definitely see the sword shape too. Love your idea!
Exactly👍. This is how it is called (“Num sum”which means Bow & arrow) according to our Mongolian sky culture.
Always found in the Summer? Not winter?

Am i the only one who is here due to monogatari series?
No bro I'm also here for Monogatari series lmao
Me too lol
The only thing you didn't say is which direction to look, north, south, east west in the northern hemisphere. That would help newbies ALOT.
Yes. Good point. I typically look East to find the Summer Triangle.
@@learnthesky thank you for the direction
I see it
Altair in Eagle constellation. Assassin's Creed fans rejoice.
akways wondered why I called my Dad Dede,
Who else is here cuz of Monogatari
