Perfect video! Ive been looking at small folders for the last 3 days... the Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite is winning so far, ive been carrying a Spyderco Ambitious as a daily chore knife for about 2 years and a SOG Spec Elite II for self defense for about 3 years.
AUsome video!!! Straight and to the point on each knife and thanks for including links to the knives. I've been rolling with a Kershaw Onion this summer, and in lightweight clothes it's been great.
Honestly one of my favorite lightweight edc knives has been the SOG Slimjim. I really like my Kershaw Cryo and was thinking about getting the AM 3 to cut back on the weight. Thanks for the vid!
Well done; very nice knives! I like that "Dragonfly 2". I've been on a Swiss Army Knife kick lately; I've been carrying my "Tinker Small" in my left front pocket in addition to a one-hand opener clipped to my right front pocket. It's weight/utility ratio is great!
Just picked up a few of the Kershaw shuffle's. They range from 10-15USD and are great for EDC. I ended up getting few because they are freakin awesome to stash everywhere
Marty, Thank you for all of your knowledge on EDC knives/gear, I love your videos! I don't think I saw any serrated knives, what is your opinion? I want to buy my first benchmade and would like your thoughts. Thank you!
Great knives, but I'm sad the Ka-Bar Dozier didn't make the list. Considering it's price, size and weight it is one of the most capable budget lightweight knives in my opinion, because it's also pretty strong.
Im not sure its under 3oz but it is very close is the Cold Steel Code 4. It is very thin and has a high blade length to weight ratio. I can't believe that the Benchmade 530 did not make the list in my mind it should have been no.1 or 2 on your list its thin in poket more blade than a delica and lighter. This is jmho of course keep your videos coming I enjoy them.
Great knife selection! I fell in love with the kershaw al mar collab but the only down side is that the edge is brittle. Don t know if its the heat treat thats the only downside. I like your reviews and i value them alot for my future purchase. From greetings from Quebec, Canada
Obviously there are tons of options but I would like to mention the Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight in S35VN... Especially if you are wearing shorts and still want to throw a knife in your pocket that doesn't take up much space...
Of all the knives in this video I'd take the Delica or the Manix 2 LW. I miss my Delica. I'd swap the Benchmades for the Steel Will Intrigue and Intrigue mini
Buck 722 in s30v is absolutely amazing for the price. It’s 3.1oz so it’s a little heavy and above the weight by a tad but it’s really not it’s only 3.1oz and worth every penny of the 55 bucks They also make a mini version the 726 so it probably is within the weight limits
I was considering the Benchmade - Mini Griptilian Knife and I found that there is some option of it, can you tell me what's the difference between "PlainEdge/CoatedFinish" and "PlainEdge/SatinFinish" in the product preview it looks like the first one is black blade and second is silver blade, is there any further difference and which one will you recommed?
Does anyone here have any experience with kershaws customer services I broke the torsion bar in my leek and would like to send it back but since I don't know about their customer service I'm a little hesitant
Christian _t_g_ their cs is awesome they will send you the part so you can fix it yourself or you can just ship it back to them. There are a ton of TH-cam videos in replacing a torsion bar
You do pretty informative vids, but it's like the sign on the local big hospital "Number 5 on the West Coast!". These days, I ain't got time for Number 5 or Number 10. Just take me right to Number 1. Thx and bye.
Hahaha, is this a joke? In Europe we have the french Deejo, the rock climbing knife, 37 grams of pure stylish awesomeness ... the rosewood one smels nice too. I own one, for the beach activities, and when I'm dressing light ,generally. And I will not utter a word about the customizing aspect of the knife, it is too much for me to bare ...
Spyderco Manix 2 : I dont liked the overall feel Spyderco Dragonfly 2: To small for me Spyderco Delica 4: See Manix 2... Benchmade Bugout: Dont like this typical Benchmade knife form :) AlMar: its a good EDC Benchmade 940: See Bugout.. Kershaw: meh ..--.. Benchmade Mini: boring.. Leatherman... ..... for me the best Knifes you had here are the AlMar and the CRKT, my pesonal EDC is a cheap but good 3,5ounce Butterfly

Don't know why but I like your voice, it's so smooth and calming.

Sounds like the dad from fresh off the boat

Buck Apex. Used mine tonight randomly and out performed. Goes on my harness just right too.

Kbar Dozier. ...a worthy, lite and dependability guaranteed!
Great list. Good for backpacking too where weight is a premium

The lightest knife that I know of is the SOG micron at only .4 of an ounce. It's actually a pretty nice little knife.
Great knives, but I'm sad the Ka-Bar Dozier didn't make the list. Considering it's price, size and weight it is one of the most capable budget lightweight knives in my opinion, because it's also pretty strong.
Vojtěch Němec It's a good knife for sure -- I used to own one but he sold it. I may buy another though! 😂

Hey do you think you could do a comparison between the squid and the dragonfly 2? I just cant decide between those two
Interesting compilation. :)

The Victorinox recruit is so much more useful with the extra's and still small size.

Can u review the gerber decree it's a gerber w s30v steel please!!!!!!!! Can u also hard use it I want to see how strong it is

Nice knife! Great.
I love them all. But frankly, I like some weight to mine. Just saying.
for me its a "log alpin" :p
like 34g
But you can get a Leek at under $20.00, you can't even get a reply from Benchmark for that.
the dragonfly 2 is the best knife on the table.
