My story goes like this... I started my career in 2004 when youtube was not a thing. I always asked questions to my peers, superiors, and peers in other departments. I was not able to connect the dots. In fact, most people would not share the info/question as they see me as a threat to their job. Since the advent of youtube, I have learned so much that I don't need to ask anyone at work. There are so many teachers like you Keith who is exactly what I was expecting at the earlier part of my career. You are awesome and the younger generation is lucky to have youtube and they don't even realize what people like you are offering (I would not say all, but most). God Bless you, Kevin Barker.
Wow. You worked in an era that you could have gotten a job with the fundamentals. Today, to be a network tech or engineer you will need the CCNA minimum or CCNP and years of experience and master's degree. I think before there was not much resources that were available and people were trying to keep their knowledge to themselves to be competitive and keep their job. I probably would have survived in your era. Today, I don't survive despite CCNA certification and degree and tech experience. I cannot get a job in this field.
I cried when you said, "if this is your first pass through networking, I'm happy you're here and I'm happy to be part of you journey". Thanks to you ❤️! My understanding of layer 2 before the video,🤦🤷. My understanding after the video💡🤓
I have Watched David Bombal and Lazaro Diaz on udemy and it so much easier to understand and feel invested in learning and watch with you level of Passion and love of Networking!!! Thank you for all you do!!! I have Subbed and joined CBT Nuggets to enjoy your teaching and passion more :)
Keith one thing you said, hit home for me. Breaking a complex subject into small chunks. The first time I stepped into the cockpit of a C-5 aircraft as a maintenance tech and saw all the guages, I thought No Way, I'll ever learn this. Luckily, my trainer broke it into the fuel system, then electrical, etc. Took about a year and I was running the panels with the best of them.,. Thank you Thank you Thank you Keith. I am Loving this course and the way you instruct!!

I'm on CCNA1 V7.02, I have a bit of attention deficit and I cannot tell you how much your videos have helped me, you make learning easy and enjoyable. I was having a hard time finding out what exactly a L2 switch VLAN is(most info available it's about L3 VLAN), ended up watching the whole video and learning a lot more than just that, you're a "no cape hero" my friend
It’s 2021, I’m 5 weeks away from the end of my ccna course and your content.. is goddamn revolutionary 😂 you can’t know how helpful you are thanks man 👍
This is the best, most relatable explanation of this stuff I've seen, without going into super abstract stuff and showing actual hardware examples in the real world.
Only trainer that makes learning any IT subject less tiresome as we all know things can get rather dry and boring, but Keith brings such energy and enthusiasm few nerdy dad jokes here and there to keep things interesting. Need more people like you in this IT training industry my friend and I think we would have a lot more qualified IT people out there, you are the best.
I just found your channel and think you're one of the most entertaining people on the internet. Going through your videos to refresh myself on basic networking 3 years removed from my CCNA exam. Love your enthusiasm and hope to be on your level one day.
Hi Keith. What I love about you is obviously your personality but, also because you are not afraid to go deep but also, you show us the details as it is working with so much proof. It eliminates a lot of mistakes and unnecessary modeling in the labs. I love it.
Just passed my CCNA exam today! Watched all Kahoot list yesterday, as well as a couple of your videos to round up before the test. I want to thank you for offering your knowledge and motivation through this platform.
Hi Keith! Just a note of thanks for making GREAT videos and helping others in our craft truly understand the concepts of networking. I've been in the field for almost 20 years and sometimes, like many of us, get so caught up in over complicated concepts & tasks, we tend to forget the very foundations of networking. It's always a help to me to come back to your videos time and again, to circle back to the basics before heading down a dark path of complexity that most likely isn't needed. Many thanks brother, please stay well!!
Keith... must say...you are an amazing teacher..the hard work you put in to explain the concepts in such an easy manner is really appreciable...lots of respect to you!
Hi Keith, thank you very much for your time. This lecture was very good, showing the devices just besides you and bringing up the command line made it very interesting. Looking forward to the next lecture.
~50 mins I finally managed to mentally pull VLANs back to L2 in my mind. I've constantly associated VLANs with IPs and subnets. The broadcast domains logic has finally clicked. Thanks for your content, it's helped me greatly. :)
Keith, you are full of critical knowledge, I recently failed my ENSLD exam, I have my ENCORE... I'm going through your CCNA video series now to fill in the missing fundamental gaps of knowledge. thank you!!!
been watching yt tutorials for a very long time but Sir you are the best I've seen so far, the examples the strong understanding of concepts & live demo on the spot all this in one video with so much passion..I'm sure am lucky to start my Networking journey from here thank you doing this.
Thanks for clearing up so much confusion on the names of the devices!!! I've been pulling teeth with so many different professors. They just can't keep it SIMPLE like you!!!
Keith, thank you for your CCNA video training. I love your style of teaching. It resonates with me. Your labs are a great help. Keep up the great work! ☝
the type of guy you need when working in a ccna environment , he needs to make lab videos and scenarios and show us how to do routing, he has dangerous knowledge that can't be held in.
Coming back, on July 9th, 2022, to rewatch these videos and attempt the CCNA again to break into IT and move towards security. This is the best resource I have come across (again, for me personally). Better than Network Chuck, better than David Bombal, better than Paul Browning, etc. I'm just thankful that this much content exists, because there are so many things here that are mentioned that I do not come across in the Wendell Odom book, and many concepts that I grasp, but don't easily put together with other concepts in my brain, are combined and explained easily here, and the switch flips.
Thank you for an entertaining and educative video on this topic, I usually tune out in videos longer than 10 minutes, but somehow was hooked onto the full hour here! Being from a SW background working on cloud stack, this really helps!
thank you very much, i am in cours CCNA 2 in an institution and it is not good at all as they explain. the way you explain is very good and dynamic, thanks a lot im goin to watch as many videos as i can to win CCNA 200-301 blessing from Costa Rica .
Keith I got both answers correct. All devices with Network interface card has a MAC address, layer2, Ethernet, Physical, or in or burnt in address. Second answer, if a Client wants the layer2 address of a network device on the same network, it obtains it through ARP. Yeah!!!!!!
