sub like comment plz helps the channel lots and maybe i won't cry myself to sleep again tonight
Ok
Hang in there bud. Poker is a mental game so it's ok to take a break and don't chase losses if you're not 100% emotionally. It's hard to get good cards and when you do sometimes you don't connect.
We've all had one of these sessions
Maybe for your future MUGs, only commit to a 4-5 hour window of time to be there for marketing the game. You can always choose to stay longer if things are going well. Rough night. Hope it goes better! I enjoy the posts!
Honestly, this is a perfect vlog. Shows the real ups and downs of poker. Took some real balls posting this too. This is the reason why we all want you to succeed. Keeping it real.
I agree wholeheartedly! Poker is a very emotional game/sport. And dudes are humans, too. Human emotions are whacky. Thx for being real. We ALL totally want you to succeed!
That was brutal to see. Your haircut I mean. Keep that real, raw, poker content coming. Are you even a real poker vlogger if you haven't been crouched in the corner crying at your own meet up game???
gotta learn to take the punches, not fun but a huge part of the game. You’re a real one ❤️
Man I never comment on TH-cam videos but had to on this one. That was tough too watch, can’t imagine actually playing through that. What sucks is you didn’t play bad but just ran into it. You’re a real one Greg, keep grinding and I’m sure you’ll bounce back. Also shout out to Courtney for being a real one too and being there for you. That was really wholesome to see ❤️
He did not play bad?!? Are you joking? He misplayed pretty much every single hand. Greg, i really like you and your memes etc. but if you try to win at poker you must still learn a lot. to be ready to win. Starting with not playing all those garbage hands preflop and not overplaying one pair hands postflop. Wish you all the best!
OMG bro... I literally nearly had my heart broke in so many spots during this drop.
I hope you 2 make it. You're the cutest, funniest couple ever, and deserve not to go down in low stakes poker flames, under rolled.
Feel your literal pain.
Love you guys.
Peace out from smokey masked up K-town.
ktown? whats that
Greg, keep your chin up! I recently went through a similar situation with the past couple games I've played. It can be truly emotionally draining loosing when you know you've played the best you can, but still get coolered or sucked out on. My suggestion, even if you're at a meet up game set limits for yourself. You play for X amount of time only and buy in for Y amount period. If you bust early, keep the fun going with serving, eating with fans, dealing, or just selling merchandise! This L does NOT define you. Learning from it is the important part, and acknowledging it will only make you a stronger player and person. Just by posting this shows me what kind of man you are! I'm very proud of you and hope for the best for you and Courtney!
A8 was a good fold, in the vast majority of situations if they are choosing a card to show you, they will choose one to "misinform" you. And also the fact that a river overbet is almost never a bluff
I can't come up with a single bluff villain has that includes the 8 of diamonds. That has to be 8d9d all day long.
Agree with Jack especially In these rec games
@@codyobaker 8 10 of diamonds but fully agree with Jack
Really tough stuff man. The equity betrayal is real sometimes and when it happens in bunches it feels debilitating. But just remember that you can also have sessions and sessions of run good as well when not only does your equity prevail when you're ahead, you're ahead A LOT. I've been in a similar spot lately, gotta just keep playing well and don't ever try to think about making up money from past sessions by playing differently
Also bro this vid was heavy, I've been there a lil bit, but that's the real deal. Great freaking vlog and hang tough. Cooler shit than I've ever seen on any other vlog because this is the poker journey, it's more than just hand analysis. You rock dude.
My favorite poker vlog of all time, the thrill and the agony in this!
Loved the intro. This video was already a significant improvement from even just your last video. Pity, fear, and catharsis. Well, mostly pity and fear for this one. The catharsis will come, my friend. Keep the faith! You're really good at this TH-cam thing.
getting him to sing greg goes all in is a great bit
This guy shows the REAL poker. The one filled with coolers and bad beats
Greg you are awesome and so is Courtney. Appreciate you showing the highs and lows and your talk about being the funny guy is tough when you are sad. People who care about you will not make you feel bad about being sad. Favorite poker content for me for a while now. Love the vlogs the luck will turn around ❤️
I’ve felt your pain quite a few times, I hope it was a learning experience for you. Try reminding yourself it’s all part of the journey. One day you’ll be able to laugh at this small loss. Remember you’ve chosen to play a game that you don’t always have control of the results or outcome. Next time you can take more breaks, or feel confident drawing a line - the game can go on, you just don’t have to play in it. Take control of what you can and set a limit in both money and time spent. You’re a content creator, not a jester - you don’t have to perform on a whim. I wish you the best of luck. Your lady is a gem, and she’s better than any high hand bonus or jackpot, for sure.
Man tough spot to be in. It takes a lot of courage to post this. Keep going and you'll crush it on TH-cam like Rampage. I really appreciate the honesty.
Prolly the realest poker vlog video I've seen. It takes a lot of guts to show your L's. It's all apart of the grind brother. Keep doing what you doin; your videos make my day 💯
Rough session but it happens to all of us. Stay positive and I'm glad you didn't keep playing. Poker is a mental game and if you're not feeling good about it that's going to be reflected in your play. Sometimes it's best to just call it a night.
Thanks for posting the 99 hand Greg, I was sitting across the table from you and was wondering what you were tanking/calling with the whole night. Especially the snap call at river when straight, flush, and boat connected. Sick hand.
Happens to the best of of us brotha..
Just have to remember it’s only one session out of many more future sessions in the record books.
I would definitely change barbers after that brutal sesh though, bad juju hairdo.
Keep it up bro, the vlogs and skits are always 🔥
I honestly like your skit stuff better. Still good, but you are the _king_ of the skits. Play that strength bro! :)
"Women aren't the rake, they're the high hand bonus" 🥰🥰😭 OMFG BEST POKER COUPLE EVER! Seriously though, just found your vlog and I'm obsessed. Gg in poker and life, man. Wtg
At the beginning of the video I was thinking "those glasses cost way too much." After the video... maybe they should be a bit more expensive.
Dude this channel is the one the poker world needs. That river was so rough!
Bahjaahahhahaha !!! New to your channel dude and I love it so far! 15:45 was hilarious man, rip, keep up the great content!!!
Welcome to the channel my friend. Please sub to my new channel as well, “Greg’s Game”. Featured on my channel
Hey man it was nice meeting ya there! Sorry you lost out, You’ll win big next!
Maybe Courtney should be the poker player and Greg does the serving? 🤔
Hope you’re joking. Have you seen their heads up
Really appreciate your videos and its very refreshing to see someone who is also uploading loosing streaks and not afraid to express emotions! Its your (and courtneys) personality that make this channel so great, no matter if you booked a win or a loss.
However, beats like this are going to happen and i hope you dont play underrolled, because due to the low volume of hands even a crusher can have loosing MONTHS! Also, try to not focus on the results but on things you can improve, you won that QJo hand but the preflop call is massively loosing. There are apparently some huge whales in your games so i would guess that you are maybe breaking even but you have a lot of studying to do if you also want to get some money out of those games. Maybe play a bit online microstakes for practice? I think there would be a market for videos of you playing micros also, so maybe you could even combine this with your youtube channel
Anyway wish you and courtney all the best!
“Well…the serving was good”. Damn that girl be cold blood -duddd! It was funny thou. Only funnier ending would’ve been if Courtney put on her beard and kick the living shii outta u on the security camera flatscreen that everyone saw u go through an existential crisis outside, because u played 34suited in multi-way pot with ZERO range advantage on that board! Anyway loved the vlog bro.
Love how quick Courtney said NO when you asked her to do her Asian impression
Omg I would have ran out the door and never looked back once I saw that screen in the middle of the poker room. You're a champ man. You'll be up again don't sweat it! Love the vids
After all the jokey joke videos I actually really enjoyed watching you play and play it seriously and break down your thought process. I like your content brotha
Terrific haircut!!! GREAT vlog too...showing your emotional and vulnerable side is not a bad thing. Stay loose 🤙
Glad you shared the extra bits on this vlog Greg, you'll get em next time!
Commenting for the algorithm just bc I think this channel is good for the game
Man if the swings get to you like that I would really recommend running it twice as much as possible. Does not favor anyone and will dappen the blows when you get bad beat. But if the vlog wants drama run it once.
That's some raw and real shit man.
This was pretty tough to watch, but I am very glad that you shared this with everyone. This is the reality of poker everyone.
Great job showing us the ups and the downs. Thanks for the lessons.
Man start playing tight, don't lose money like that for a vlog
I know it's tough in the moment, but I always say to myself will this matter in a year? In your case, I'm sure you got over it the next day. I look forward to the vids with the $2K wins. Remember, us Gregs got to stick together. They ain't naming them like that much anymore. :)
Dude I’ve been feeling SO blue over a 680 loss at 1/2 the other day and this has brought me back to laughter town thank you
680 at 1/2....OUCH
Huge props for showing this footage. Must’ve been hard editing this 😭
aye bro we all lose coolers I really like your vlogs trust me you have the potential to be great! trust the process….
Guys, you rock! Great vlog and I'm really enjoying the content. Keep it up, I will be waiting for the new videos.
Playing 43s from middle position as a cold call is way too loose man. That's asking for trouble. he knows that you can't have boats either so he can raise with flushes without fear
On a strategic note: think about which flushes you actually block. Mainly A3s, A4s. But those aren't possible with the Ah on board. Even suited kings aren't possible. Q4s would be way to loose so the only hands that are remotely reasonable would be 64s, 54s Which is also terrible wide
Thanks for being a real human mate. In a world of fake facades it's good to see the real. Thanks for all the Smiles
Oh noo, the showing of the flat screen at the end, I’m dead 😭😂
Backdoor trips is a phenomenal joke btw.
I feel for you, congrats on taking it like a champ
@@drawingdead9025 absolutely! He expressed his emotions honestly, didn't try to stifle stuff, didn't fly off in a rage, tbh it was max integrity despite how much tilt he must have been under. 10/10
@@drawingdead9025 He excused himself to deal with his emotions, that's far more mature than most "manly men" I see who just get angry and start making a public/private scene. We can't control how we feel, we can only control how we respond to it after all. That's my take on it anyway
@@drawingdead9025 I’m not sure how someone could deal with it better in that situation. I think Greg handled it really maturely, being aware of the people around him. Do you know how hard it is to consider others’ happiness when you’re in the pits? It takes a real man to do that
Greg what are these gorgeous cards with the blue back and yellow/red designs? Bruh gimme, I'd buy that in a heartbeat
Wow. Brutal. For a long time I really couldn't tell if you were acting - pretending to be sad so you could do some epic psych-out joke. I feel bad sometimes as a vlog watcher because I feel like vloggers sometimes play beyond their bankroll in order to get content for the vlog. Hope that's not the case. Take a break from playing live if you need to! Love the content - live play or just the joke stuff - either way.
Damn, that was brutal. The rough thing about poker is that you can literally make the correct play, or even keep making the correct play, and still lose everything to shitty variance. I like your calls here, I like your reasoning for all of it, and it just sucks that the gambling nature of the game just got you - especially with that jack on the river. That's real money to lose, and combined with the way you lost it, kept losing it, I totally get being upset at the end of it all. But hey, you got an amazing partner who's clearly got your back, so at least you're running scorching hot in the much higher variance game of life.
Still, when anyone gambles for fun my advice would always be to only do so with money they are extremely comfortable losing, to avoid such feel-bad moments.
First, totally agree that was a tough session. Heart goes out to you.
But I totally agree with Euan here - sounds like you're playing at stakes that are outside of your comfort zone / bankroll. There are lots of videos about bankroll management, but the rule of thumb is about 20 buy-ins. So at $500, you should have about $10k in your bankroll that you could lose and still keep the same lifestyle. Playing as a recreational player is one thing, but if this is your career choice, then you should treat your bankroll like you would an investment account.
And the $10 bounty is fun and all, but honestly it's still probably more profitable to fold 72o than it is to play the hand.
Bro it happens, way more than we would like to admit. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened. Take it in stride, for meet up games play a little tighter because as you said people are there to play with you and you gotta keep playing for as long as you can. Hope your luck changes and you suck out on them next time!
It's ok Greg, as long as you continue making dank memes you'll make back your losses and then some.
Super real of you to show the bad, especially when you get stuck big in a low stakes game. You're right about the women being the high hand bonus. It takes a special one to accept the game and also to accept your mood during a down swing.
Man im so sorry to watch this, been here man much love Greg
Much respect man. You called it as it is.
Dang I’m just seeing this now☹️. Sending virtual hugs🤗🤗. Hope you’re running well brother
Bad session, G.
But you're a good guy. You'll bounce back. Stay well. X
Love the videos Greg. Keep em coming, I love JKo!!!
Dude you're fuckin hilarious. Had to subscribe and then binge all your videos lolol thanks for the content bro
Greetings from Switzerland. 🇨🇭
I enjoy the authentik content. Sound cliche, but you will come back stronger after this session! The cooler Hand was brutal. I screamed ,,nooo" like michel Scott in the office.
Hey mate, love your videos, they are absolutely hilarious keep that up. Keep working on your poker game tho, a lot of these all in spots you could have gotten away from. Start with working on your preflop selection, it may seem trivial to just play a few extra hands here and there for fun, but the majority of the money is made from preflop spots. Disregarding your play postflop, it would have saved you a lot of money if you just played tighter pre. I know im rubbing salt on the wound here, but I truly do hope you improve your game more so that you can become a profitable player in the long term
2nding this. Playing tight preflop will help avoid so many of the bad situations you find yourself in (like the 43s hand). Also you said earlier in the video that no one folds to a 3-bet but then you don't 3bet with 9s in blinds when they raised from late position. That's just wasting so much ev. And QJo is a terrible hand to just put money in on a 3 bet multiway pot. Just lights money on fire. You are often dominated, doesn't help your board coverage, and rarely makes nutted hands. Just play tight preflop and 3 bet linearly with your good hands. Never call a single raise except when you're on the button, and maybe BB if everyone folded and you're against an early position range but even then its marginal and you'll have to play very passively post. Anyways, tight preflop and you'll just print in these types of games.
He’s advertising himself as a fun and loose player so I feel it is not in his interest to follow your advice. What he needs is a balanced loose aggressive playstyle. The downside to my opinion is that he will need a large bankroll to ride the variance and it does not seem like he has one. Perhaps he can consider getting staked.
Dude he lost a 2k pot getting it in as a 91% favorite on the turn, relax lol. His job is to make good content and this was a great video. Definitely agree that 43ss is a fold in mp but he was obviously tilted.
@@paulgordon4013 yes he did get sucked out, and it is quite unlucky but that is the life of a poker pro. I enjoy his content and that is why I hope he can become a winning player so that he can continue to make great content off poker.
@@kueisun You can advertise yourself as a fun loose player, and player wider than optimal, but it is still a matter of hand selection, especially in low stake cash games where you will play many hands mw. Yes aggressive is good, but it takes a lot of studying to become 'balanced'. It is much easier to be profitable by playing tight and slowly expand your ranges wider to adjust to population tendencies than to be a LAG
Much love, Greg. That was a horrendous beat. Keep getting it in good.
Greg, first off love your content, hats off to you bro for your originality ♥️. But man you really got to pick up some books or sign up for some classes about poker, especially to learn which situation to c-bet, taking the betting leads, or checking for pot control. Whatever your opponents do next is all information to you. You’ll appreciate this when you enter higher stakes
I love the degenerate behaviour, ‘only going to get my money in ahead’ 2 seconds later calls a raise with 34s and raise calls the lowest flush the board has to offer 😂
I almost cried for you kid .. poker is a beast with no mercy no why or why not no care no dare feels nothing and takes everything it will fill you with every emotion possible but in the doesn't care which side your on
Man this video is so relatable rn I lost 250$ going all in with KJ of spades and the other guy having pocket 2's and I lost With King high against a pair of 2's, so I get how you feel but good luck on your next games ❤
Positive vibes for ya!! Run Good 😊
Love you two, I look forward to meeting you guys sometime
You're an awesome dude my guy. Love from Texas
i love this shit, you and courtney are the best
wow i just learned so much from this session
Greg went all in
I couldn't like this video twice so I watched it 4 times to help Greg with more views. That was a rough one.
you need a bigger bankroll if you cant handle swings
Holy shit man, that was the biggest OOF ive ever felt, like it already was painful watching you lose when you got it in. But that twist ending with the flatscreen, omg I feel like im watching DAVE
ayy 900th like 👍
Love the Coldplay reference on the suck out hand
That 4-outer was sick. But 3h4h is a fold, he can easily have better flushes. You beat no value hands. A 10 would not go all-in unless *maybe* if he had Qh to go with it.
Back door trips lmao
Everything about this is hilarious
YUP. In another 2 years he'll look back and laugh his ass off, or not.
Poor 4 outer... the negatives of being a poker personality and needing to actually be available for MUGs and show up and play even when losing.
@@drawingdead9025 doesnt make it less brutal. sharing a shit session with the world and having to put on a facade just for content
You run like I run 😂 Cold world
This whole video is just one long continual kick in the balls
Looks like rampage has some competition
Such a very supportive girlfriend :)
That’s the moment you just end the session.
Okay, I’m sorry like I said. Love you homie hahahaha
unlucky brother always next time, ill order some glasses to pay respects 💕
Once he showed the 8 of diamonds it’s an auto fold either has pocket 8s or 9d8d since 7d already on board can’t have 8d7d
That 3h4h hand is terrifying man idk how you found yourself in that place but I just think the situation of the meet up game forced you to play alot more hands then you should have. Next meet up remember people are there for your personality if you interact with fans the amount of hands played doesn't matter.
Play 34 and you'll find yourself in those spots.
Well.... at least you were on TV!
at low stakes you are probably the only player bluffing. so that is good. but hero calling will get you in trouble.
I have an idea. You could set up another table where its super low stakes. If you can manage to get enough people to join you at that table then it wouldn't look bad on you.
Keep your head up. Any man would’ve reacted the same way. WITHOUT A DOUBT! You played great. Fuck those cards man!! 😎
@@drawingdead9025 wow you are a sad little boy replying to every comment on this video. do you feel so much better about yourself after doing that?
Had this same haircut communication mishap plenty of times
Too bad no poker in Van yet Greg. Play in Calgary!!! BC blows when it comes to the poker scenes. Unless u wanna play underground games, but.... Well same as ON underground games.
Hey it's me again in crappy BC. Looking at Calgary, Edmonton and even Grand Prairie.
This province, its never ending Covid shut downs & mandates, and Sheriff Bonnie Henry BLOW.
@@Seriously_sirius2 so true man
I guarantee that this will be your worst bad beat this year greg, GayGuyKai believes in you brudda
