    I had an older brother who joined the Marines 10 years ago. He joined while he was a junior with my mom and dad's permission. There's 2 years between us and I looked up to him so much. I didn't know until he came to our house after boot camp. My brother was there whenever I was in trouble, he was strong always. He was so caring for everyone, and always cared for everyone else. I remember in 7th grade when I got into a fight he came out of nowhere and separated me from the 4 guys beating on me. He just straight up protected me and I felt so bad and weak because I wasn't fighting back. When the fight was over he told me "come on little bro, let's head to lunch and go mess with the girls" he was someone I wouldn't forget. And I still miss him to this day. He served 5 tours in Iraq and went thru so much. He came back from his 5th tour different. His whole squad was killed in am explosion and he had been in another vehicle when it happened. He came up different, like a totally different person. He was still the best big brother and was even a dad to be. He was awesome in every way.
    But on October 6 2007 I got a phone call from my mom saying come home, now please. When I got home I was told he had been killed at a gas station from a drive by shooting. His daughter was only 6 months old. I never looked st the world the same after that. I love my brother, and I thank all those who served in the past, present, and future. May God be with all of you

    • @dvalden
      @dvalden 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my case (psychological selection for armed forces in the Netherlands) you get a capability test in which they test your intelligence, no problem there. But after that you will have to talk to a psychologist for over an hour about your life/personality/motivation, and if you fall short in any of the categories (personality traits) of the ''soldier profile'', you will get a negative advice. Basicly only if you lie enough you can get through that in my opinion, cause they expect you to be emotionless lol.

      prepare to kill innocent people, obey every order of people you barely know, and to never ask questions of any kind. that's the ultimate follower role. AND you'll murder people (children?), pissibly hurt your family by dying yourself, just so that some big fishes can cash in on you, great idea. war is about buisness, if you're willing to die and kill for someone else's buisness then yea, why not...

    I hail from Poland but I am a soldier of the german army. I was living and following the rules of Germany for over 19 years which is why I decided to repay this land, for every given chance, by serving it as a soldier. Up to now I was serving five years and three more years await me (might be more not sure yet). Recently I experienced my first kill and it is, and probably will be, haunting me for a very long time. Sadly the german army is not being viewed well by the civilians. Better said it is being hated and quite many soldiers experience it on a daily basis. But the words in this video made me rethink my action and reason behind it. I thank you for uploading it... it did help me in my time of need. In the end, no matter where one hails from, we are all human.

    One tip for all of you aspiring to be military, take care of your health...
    Breathing in a lot of dirt, mold and other toxins wont affect just the asthmatics, or the ones with allergies.
    One of the most common problem cleaning workers suffer after some years in the profession is pulmonary problems due to breathing in a lot of dirt or other things.
    If you join the military and are going to operate in the desert, or other environment's, use some face cover, as you see fit.
    Eat properly, exercise properly, give your body a good recovery time.
    Otherwise your carrear will be short.

      I believe war and violence are completely and utterly useless when compared to the speck of sand earth looks like when viewed from the perspective beyond the other billions of galaxies in the entire black vastness of the Universe.
      I do not believe viewing another person as my enemy although they may view me as theirs. I believe whatever you carry in your mind about the world is what you will see around the world. And where do we get images of around the world from? Is it the Universe telling us to fear others we do not know and to make war with those who are less fortunate or less intelligent than us instead of helping them if asked? Or is it a television telling us these visions? These scenes?
      Where have they or us or me learn about fear? Why do we fear one man over there yet warmly embrace another man over here?
      Because we're on this planet means we're space people. The "aliens" or inhabitants of planet earth. This is how we view Aliens who live outside of earth's atmosphere as space people and I beleive that is how other planets view us.
      Because it's real.
      Why do we war with one another, really?
      Why do street gangs war with one another? Over possessions? Over money? Over religion? Over culture? Over control? Over power perhaps?
      Because this video file is here and has reached millions of lives around the planet, it has connected us like never before and is a sign that we are becoming more intelligently connected than ever before!
      There will come the age where there is no such thing as war, as crime, as hate, as violence, as power, or as fear to name a few.
      The earth will connect via internet as one unit wherein each and every space person on this planet can travel freely from one country to another with a tap of a button and will do so without any knowing or remembrence of fear or mischief, or dangerous situations or bad people; there will be none.
      Throughout the planet will soon rise a global watch dog safety system with quite litteraly camera's everywhere, including public restrooms. There will be no such thing as a prison or correctional facility. The people of that time will be successful holographic educated space people with no remembrence or understanding of fear or sadness or poverty or homeless. There just simply put will be none.
      These people will change the vibration of the planet. A vibration of love. Of comfort really but I prefer love. That's what's needed.
      We love our family. We love our children. We love our husbands. We love our wives. We love our neighbors don't we?
      The day will come and it is soon approaching.
      No war. No crime. No fear.
      Just love, love, love. ❤ ❤ ❤

      Milk Man I'm what way is this a dangerous message? dangerous perhaps to the people who oppress other, this is a message about changing yourself, bettering yourself, leaving your shitty past comforts behind so that YOU may become a stronger to strongest version of yourself. the only people this message is dangerous to are the people that would want to see everyone oppressed and forced into a monotonous, useless, self degrading way of life. much like the corporate world would like to see us in. It is a message of empowerment. this isn't strictly for military, the person who gave the message is actually a church minister. It is perhaps dangerous to you because you got the wrong idea.

    As a veteran of the Navy Seals, this is to everyone who is serving. Don’t give up, believe in yourself. Everything you are doing for your country saves life’s everyday. I respect you, as we all should. War is war, but serving to stop that war is something else. To all of you who wants to serve, do it. We can all serve, it’s possible. I served for my country, for my family and it was all my decision. Be the best, protect your country and save life’s.

      I see what you're saying about this making seem like a holy war, which agree is shady. However, T.D Jakes is a fantastic minister and preacher. He didn't write this for the purpose of the military. He wrote this for the church so that they may have a renewing of their minds and change themselves through Christ in their everyday lives. Not so they can go to war. Also he doesn't take himself seriously, he's a very light and friendly character he's pretty funny too. You should check him out before labeling him as a crazy preacher just because he's passionate.

    • @TheMaybelater2
      @TheMaybelater2 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Milk Man I completely agree. 1 John 4:8 He who does not know love does not know God.
      Love is peace. One can not know God and His love and not help but be changed. It is the goodness of God that makes men change. Those who claim to know God, but seek war lie to themselves and others.

    I love this channel, I took it's advice. Goddamn it I was tired of wading through the mud and I dragged myself out. I'm enlisting in 10 days, my thought has constantly been a new year, a new me. I got tired of eating dirt. I'm gonna eat well for the rest of my life.
