  • Do you need to learn how to memorize a speech in one night?
Maybe you're nervous, even jittery. I sure was for many years. (I tell the story in this video.)
But then I learned how to remember a speech using the Memory Palace technique.
That changed everything - and I wound up helping many others too.
So whether you want to memorize lines, or entire talks as you develop your public speaking skills, this is the training for you.
Want to know how well I use these skills myself?
Check out my TEDx Talk here:
    • Two Easily Remembered ...
Here's the one with Jonathan Levi where he shows a Magnetic Memory Method style Memory Palace:
    • What if Schools Taught...
I'm very proud of having helped with that!
Although it's a different technique, and Nelson Dellis told me on the Magnetic Memory Method Podcast he probably wouldn't take it to the stage, this one on memorizing lines is still interesting:
    • HOW TO MEMORIZE LINES ...
There are even more ways to commit a talk to memory, and you can find them on my blog:
    www.magneticme...
While you're there, please check out the FREE Memory Improvement Kit and enjoy how these techniques how you study your lines, and...
    Much, much more!
    Sincerely,
    Dr. Anthony Metivier

Recently, I had to memorize a 5 minute icebreaker speech in 12 hours. And this video saved my life! I didn't think the imagery technique would work so well so fast and my anxiety was still high, up until it was go time. But I managed to pull it off! I did stumble at one point but I recovered. I know if I gave myself more time to practice it would've been near perfect. Thank you!

You know you really inspired me. I feel like I'm in a similar boat that you were in, I get extremely nervous during public speaking and always felt like it was just something I was naturally bad at. Thought I would never become a decent speaker. And don't get me wrong, I still am a terrible speaker. Sometimes I can't translate my thoughts into words, and I get shaky infront of an audience. But like you said memorizing the speech well puts you at ease. I have to deliver a speech tomorrow

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM

      Thanks for sharing this.
It’s really a combination of practice and studying technique that helped me above all.

Dear Anthony Metivier, yes, please, more about memorizing a speech!
And memory and memorizing information during meeting
when you are not supposed to take any notes and the spoken information passes so quickly that would be a great subject too!
    And:
I saw the new membership possibilities.
To see Clearer what would be the best step to take, did you ever think of giving " like a ten minutes - 30 minutes video call - coaching?"
And if yes how much would that cost?
I suffered from bad memory all my life,
And even though following your videos and trying with the memory Palace at the moment I feel lost...
And it appears to me that a one-to-one talk could be helpful to organize my way.
Thank you for reading all that!!!!

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks for your vote. Just under 900 more thumbs up to go.
Not being allowed to take notes is definitely a challenge. But if you can memorize names, very similar techniques can be used to attached details to the room and the bodies of attendees.
I do coaching and it is offered occasionally to those who have signed up to my free course. That way I know you have at least spent enough time with the MMM so that I don't have to repeat what you can learn on your own - which saves you a lot of time and money.
I'm confident you can improve your memory and would be happy to coach you. If you do go through my free course and are on my email list, I will look forward to coaching you. :-)

I memorized 6 books(Physics-2,Chemistry-2,Biology-2) using memory palace,,I keep forgetting but when I repeat I remember forget the others.Or I can recall whats in the memory palace the image but I cant recall the information. How should I review? Because I cant review every book in a day because I have to practise and study. But If i review later I might forget. I decided to review each book in a day.Exam is knocking at the door,So I dont have anyother choice.I have roughly one month. Is there anything you can specifically suggest to review 6 book.I can do anything no matter how hard it is.I am suffering from indecision about it.Can you plz suggest a routine what would you do if you faced it?I ditched traditional study long ago.So if cant master it I might even fail.thanks in advance.

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

It sounds like more memory training is needed. You might not be encoding correctly, or something might be off with your Memory Palace technique.
I would suggest this technique so that you're using what your memorized from books in an optimized manner:
      th-cam.com/video/eIQRiqQFKQY/w-d-xo.html
In terms of review rules, please see:
      th-cam.com/video/8nOwZVQosNg/w-d-xo.html
I think this video will be very important for you in sorting this out.
      Does it help?
