- Skeptics have proposed many objections to Noah’s ark over the years, but many of them are entirely unfounded, and all of them have answers. In this video, Calvin Smith gives an extremely thorough overview of Noah’s ark that will challenge skeptics and encourage Christians with thoughtful insights and evidence straight from God’s Word.

I've seen so many videos of atheists marveling over the Egyptian pyramids and how advanced their civilization must have been to build them, but those same people say it's ridiculous to believe Noah could have built the ark.
do di do di do di do di do di dooooo
That's because there are actual pyramids in existence. You can see them in Egypt. Same with Machu Picchu, Stonehenge or any number of ancient wonders. There is no ark for anyone to see, and there never was.

What about the finding of the late great nurse

@@donlimoncelli6108 I guess you didn't follow the argument. What does finding it have to do with the possibility of it being built? The argument was people saying something like that couldn't be built at that time...but yea, those are all STRUCTURES made of stone, so you'd expect them to still be there. Stone doesn't rot and decay the way wood does.
@@bluebucket822 The argument is as follows: "People marvel over how the pyramids were built by ancients but refuse to believe Noah built an ark."
My reply is: We can go to Egypt and see the pyramids and as we see them, we can marvel over how such a massive edifice could have been built. Can we go somewhere to see an ark and perhaps marvel over it? No.
The OP also brings in a red herring and says, "Atheists marvel over ancient things like the pyramids." By saying that, he is equating something tangible (the pyramids) with something that does not have a shred of evidence for it ever having existed. Disbelieving in Noah having built an ark does not depend on faith, as if "atheists would believe if only they had enough faith." No, disbelieving in Noah and his boat depends on there being zero evidence for their existence, unlike the pyramids.
As a builder it is common for people to say we built a house rather than we had a house built
Exactly.
Living here in the UK and having travelled to most of Europe and Israel I have seen buildings, temples and constructions easily 2000 years old and older. I have marvelled at the craftsmanship and intelligence of this ancients knowing how difficult it would be to recreate these things today and am left in no doubt that the ancients could easily have made wondrous things that we can’t imagine.
What does your comment prove 🤷♂️. Are you a believer in this myth. I also watch ancient aliens. Science can’t explain how some of these structures were built. Does that prove aliens built these structures or do you say we don’t know.

I just want to say, I am a shipbuilder of 16 years. The longest vessel we've built was 800+ feet long. Constructing something that size from wood is astronomical! God's time is different, we have thousands of people building these ships. Noah and his family are a true inspiration.

They literally lived longer than we do now , 100,s of years, so 50 to 75 years to build a boat was a blip in their life, like when we rebuild a classic car.
One of the primary arguments that I have about depictions of the ark is that it is always portrayed as a boat, but God didn't tell Noah to build a boat, He told him to build an "ark," and the word "ark" means a "box."
This shouldn't be a problem for you, any "box" that contains living creatures and floats on water is by definition a boat.

Love listening to Joe. He brings Genesis to life. His mixture of spiritual accompanied by science is a real eye opener. I've listened to his verse by verse all the way through from Genesis to Revelation at least 4 times. I learn something I missed earlier everytime.
Where did God come from and what existed before God? Did God come from nothing, or something. Was God created , or was he the product of evolution. Was there an even greater God who created your God? Just accepting God and the word of the Bible is easy but it is also a cop out. Man has an enquiring brain and seeks the truth through science.

I always wonder about Jesus simply saying "Follow Me", and then the apostles one by one would drop everything and followed him. I found this amazing article and I was balling my eyes out, because it gave me a whole new appreciation for His love for us. 😥😇😥💕
It's called: "MAY YOU BE COVERED WITH THE DUST OF YOUR RABBI"
In the New Testament a Rabbi would call a new disciple by saying, “Follow Me,” it meant from that time forward their life would change drastically as they would be dead to their old life and alive to their new life. They would literally leave everything they knew and begin to follow their new teacher.
~If you were called to follow a Rabbi, you would be taking their set of rules and their teaching upon you, with the idea that one day you would perpetuate their ideas to future generations. A Rabbi’s set of teachings in that day was called their “yoke.” This is what Jesus was talking about when he said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for … For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). The Rabbis of Jesus’ day put a heavy yoke loaded with burdens on men and did not help to lift them.
~Around the age of 14 or 15 years old, the young men would finish their schooling and the Rabbis would go to these schools and question these young men. They would then choose the best of the best to be their disciples and would call them using the same phrase that Jesus used, “Follow Me.” The Rabbi wanted to find out if you had what it takes to spread his yoke. The new disciple would then leave his hometown and everything he knew, and would follow him everywhere, giving his life to be exactly like his Rabbi. The student would follow the Rabbi and literally imitate him in every way, especially his teaching and mannerisms.
~As one would leave and begin to follow, others would say to him, “May you be covered with the dust of your Rabbi.” The students followed him so closely that the dust from the road that came from the feet of the Rabbi would cover the disciple. That should be the desire of every disciple of Christ, to walk so close to him that we would be covered with his dust.
~If a young man was rejected by the Rabbi, he would say to him, “Go home, have children, and pray that they may become a Rabbi. Go home and ply your trade (go home and learn the family business).”
~Matthew 4:18-22 describes Jesus calling four of his disciples to follow him, “And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
~(Why were these men fisherman, because they were not chosen to be a potential Rabbi; they were plying their trade.) And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
~Jesus calling these young men was just the same as saying, “I believe you can be like me and I believe you have potential, you have what it takes. I believe God can use you.” This was one of the greatest privileges in their culture.
~Imagine you were on the shore when this scene unfolds. Jesus walks by and calls James and John, the sons of Zebedee, they drop everything and immediately begin to follow Jesus. I would have thought that their father would have said, “… you kids now a days, running off, leaving me with all this work, where do you think you’re going.” Nothing like that was spoken. I imagine that Zebedee ran home and said something like this, “The boys aren’t with me mom, a Rabbi, Jesus of Nazareth, came along and called our boys, and he thinks that they have what it takes to be a Rabbi someday.” Maybe the next morning, he sees the usual men preparing for the day’s work that is ahead of them and he can’t wait to brag on his sons. I assure you that this became the talk of the town, Zebedee’s family stock soared that day, and this is what every father dreamed of for his son.
~I often wondered why Peter would get out of a perfectly good boat in the middle of a storm. His Teacher was not in the boat and he wanted to be just like him, so he stepped out and walked on the water. Peter would rather be surrounded by the waves and be with Jesus than to be in a safe boat without him. Peter wanted to be covered with the dust of his Rabbi, to follow Him. What Jesus did, Peter wanted to do, where Jesus was, Peter wanted to be.
May you be covered with the dust of your Rabbi!
~I was just thinking about how Jesus washed His dust off of the feet of his disciples. They were dirty, because they followed so closely behind Him. It was now time for them to step up, and have the world follow what they have to say about Jesus! Yet Judas was covered in that same dust, but he decided to betray him like billions of so-called Christians today that do not obey Jesus, but are still choosing to obey their flesh!

Well, you have one fundamental problem if not TWO. A) If we're to believe the whole planet is really, "only 6000 years old", then you're putting the flood somewhere around 2348 BCE. There is plenty of historical, archeological and anthropological evidence showing the Egyptian, Sumerian and Chinese civilizations were doing just fine in 2348 BCE. B) The entire Genesis flood story is predated by the Epic of Gilgimesh in which a character Gilgimesh encounters, Utnapishtam, is warned by gods to build a craft in advance of a coming flood and he saves the family livestock.
Thoth wrote the emerald tablets in Atlantean and fixed the atoms and cellular structure of them so they never decay or rot, something we cannot do today, 38000 years ago. We are backwards as a species thanks to religions.
Bravo 👏. Don't facts get itself way of feelings.
The questions I ask are:-
If “god” is so powerful, knowledgeable, so clever that it can (supposedly) create the universe and everything in it..including all the various life forms, then WHY did it NEED a human man, his wife, three son and their wives, to build a giant ship, fill it with animals (from the largest elephant, to the smallest beetle/ant/spider/worms (whatever animal life was around at the time)), provide all the required foodstuffs and water for each creature, suitable habitat?
Where did Noah and his family get all that timber, how did they cut and shape it? Where did they get all the hundreds of gallons of “pitch” from? Pitch is a product of petroleum, so how did they process and extract it?
Supposedly it then rained for forty days and nights, (murdering uncounted millions of people), meaning the ship had to be sealed against the elements!
Where did those untold billions of gallons of water come from?
So what did they use for illumination, naked flames wouldn’t be advisable, too much flammable material, how did they keep the air breathable, how did they feed all the thousands of animals and get rid of their waste, WITH JUST EIGHT PEOPLE, when, apparently they were confined in an unpowered/unsteered/unstable wooden box drifting on a world girdling ocean, being blown in all directions by wind and tide, for, if the bible is to be believed, about a year!
Then, somehow, all those untold billions of gallons of water “receded (where to)”
And the ship landed on top of a mountain, from which all those thousands of animals were distributed round the world….a world that was WATER LOGGED and basically unusable! So, no access to food or clean water! Mountains of stinking mud and rotting flesh and vegetation!
Why do religionists never seem able or willing to answer those and other relevant questions with anything other than a variation of “it’s “god’s”will”!
The religious don’t need evidence or science because they just simply believe the god can do anything because he’s god. Crazy reasoning
The World is not what science tells us it is. The flood began and ended when 'The Fountains of THe Deep" opened and closed. Where does all the water go when you empty a pool? Its a similar concept.

The first Greek culture were the Minoans who were around the same time as the Egyptians, about 2800 BCE.
So, braintrust, here is how it works. The Minoans were the first Greek civilization, they lived on Crete. You wipe them out, you wipe out the Greek language, the only survivors of the laughable flood were 8 Jews who already had a name for the Tigris and Euphrates river. We should know those rivers by their Hebrew names, not by their Greek names because there are no Greeks around, no Greek language.
You guys ever Google stuff up? Or do you like being ignorant?
@daxconnell7661, Yes that's a good argument. In fact, the Middle East does seem to be the general area of Eden going simply by the genetic markers of how humankind spread across the Earth from that general area. Check out the book "Traced" by Dr. N.Jeanson. Also it was not merely rain that caused the flood but, the great fountains or water reservoirs of the deep, underground were broken up and spewed forth into the atmosphere. Rain cannot occur without a tiny drop of dust for the water molecules to form around. There was volcanic activity and dirt/smoke released into the air, possibly produced by meteors or a huge earthwide earthquake. The resulting dust and heavy tropical vapor in the air turned into rain. Between the underground water and the water coming down from the sky every hill was covered. The mountains such as the Alps or the Rockies formed as a result of tectonic upheaval and magma spread. If you look at the topography under the oceans you can see where the earth literally was split apart. It was a truly cataclysmic event. Amazing the human race and the animal ancestors survived at all. The Ark was massive and masterfully engineered by God.
It was a huge rectangular box Look at the other ark in the Bible It’s a large and precise ( and gold plated) rectangular box Noah’s ark was large and solid It had no steering mechanism It was waterproof And it floated And it housed all of the types of animals God is great !

Actually China in the 1300's & early 1400's did build ships of the size of the ark (even before that but the previous ones were river going vessels for war)... but they did use massive bamboo. When the sea disaster struck and destroyed the Chinese world exploration & tribute fleer, that event caused the priests to tell the rulers to isolate from the outer kingdoms of the world, the remaining ships were destroyed and were never built again.
Probably a lot of big boats even Vikings found the way to America's first
No they did not, sorry. The largest wooden boat in history was the Wyoming, built in Maine to run coal. It floundered and sank after 11 years of sporadic service in which the pumps had to be run constantly
No they never as is physically impossible for a ship made of wood to work mechanically and with physical laws, Noah`s arc has been debunked so many times it is not funny , My peoples record of last sea level rise is on complete opposite in to both Gilgamesh and christianity.
My peoples record of the flood has been verified bye marine geologists, where is the scientific verification for a global flood.
Why do you people try to prove the impossible using pseudoscience when you have a magic god that could just click his magical fingers and place every animal and plant on earth in a second.
@@ETERNALCYCLES plus the structure of the ark would have broken up under the stress. There's no logic being used here. It's a pity.
This was well put together, but I didn't hear any answers to the questions he said that skeptics would have. Yes, how did all the animals and living creatures fit in the ship? He said it was 500 plus feet by 85 ft by 51 ft? Or somewhere around there. How many animals can fit in that, and what did the carnivores eat? You know, like the lions and the T-Rex? Where did the animals go to the bathroom during this year? Also, with a pair of every single creature or species sitting inside, did they not move for a year? He said the Ark was about the size of a midsized cargo ship, but a midsized cargo ship is filled up with cargo from one small place transporting to another. During the year journey, did the animals not reproduce? If every living thing on land died, then there was no vegetation. What did the plant eating animals eat when they got off the boat? When the meat eaters got hungry and ate a cow or a chicken, wouldn't they be effectively wiping out an entire species? I'm confused. Can you please answer these questions I have? I would love to understand, but I can not just believe it because someone wrote it in a book. I would honestly love to be educated on this and find common ground. Thank you for your video and time.

I'm not saying that there can't be some type of "God". There probably is even from a scientific stand point.
My point is, most of the Bible stories are clearly wrong and made up.
Like Zeus, or and other God stories.
Science proves they are wrong.
We evolved and the earth is over 5 billion years old. That's a fact.
So start there.
Not that many life forms were on the arc and the really big ones were small juveniles. These would have been the prehistoric ancestors of all animals today. For example a pair of grey wolves from which all dogs descended from. The many species around today were not around then. Back then people and animals were vegetarians so a significant part of the arc was for storing hay, grasses, etc for the animals. A smaller area was for the human food like beans, lentils, grains, dried vegetables and fruits. In cold countries cows don't leave the barn for half the year but they still survive. Noah and the seven others were very busy taking care of all the animals. This all is common sense and faith isn't required to figure things out.
The toughest question is "where did the poop from all of the animals in a sealed vessel go?"
if you believe in GOD you don't want to ask a question about it, don't you think GOD could take care of that
How difficult would it have been to just muck out the stalls and toss it overboard? Not even a mildly tough question.
All the Christian ate it,that's y there full of shit..haaaa haaa haaa
@@ort8410 It's only "not even a mildly tough question" if you are too incredibly lazy to think about the logistics. I suggest you think just a LITTLE harder, then come back and reassess your opinion. Here's a couple of facts to help you along:
1. There were a maximum of 8 people on the ark for an entire year.
2. Every single species of animal was also on the ark, many with very specific dietary/care requirements if they were to survive the conditions on board.
3. According to the bible, the ark had ONE window.
4. One pair of elephants (male and female) produces roughly 100 tonnes of excrement per year.
So do some maths, and let me know how difficult the task would be based on your calculations. Or of course you could simply admit you're too lazy to bother with actual facts and would rather entertain a fantasy that is not remotely concordant with reality.

Who gathered all the food for the animals? And who cleaned up after them? Have you ever been to see animals in cages after a month in captivity? With 8 humans on board? And 6 thousand species?
No one, because they all would have died from scurvy within about two months, as hundreds of thousands of sailors did in long periods at sea beginning in the so-called Age of Discovery.
It's why it's a story and never happened. Basic logistics for a group of 8 would have prevented them from ever sleeping. @sterlingduprejr237Nice cop out.
What did the carnivores eat AFTER the alleged flood? For example, the lions, coming off the ark, would have quickly killed and eaten the gazelles (that being the nature of carnivores). It takes time to repopulate near-extinct species, and they have to eat in the meantime. "God did it" is not an answer.

I have a particular loathing for the thumbnail of the "ark."
God did not include in His instructions to Noah on how to build the Ark, a means of propulsion. No sails, no screws, to oars.
God never meant the Ark to be a sailing vessel, hence no need for a curved hull.
God meant the Ark to be a floating box that would hold the survivors of the flood. God Himself would steer the Ark.
The Ark symbolizes Salvation, uncontrolled by man, directed by God alone.
Agreed, as an engineer I understand their reason for a ‘sail’ to keep the ark pointing into the waves but we don’t know it was there and a rectangular box is all that is described and would be simple and strong to build and the long sides would also catch the wind. Noah may have interpreted it and added some other features not specified but I’m not sure we should.
salvation is a choice
@Craig Stevens and so was choosing to build the ark and listening to God and accepting His invitation of salvation.
It's possible Noah was a shipbuilder, given God had chosen him for the task before he had even been born. God gave him the specific instructions directly but through his life Noah had been instructed in shipwright knowledge.

The story of Noah's Ark took place during the Neolithic Age, long before the great civilizations of Egypt, Babylon, or early China (let alone Rome). The largest boat built before that time was not more than about 30 feet long, at most. No one had ever tried to build a ship as large the ones described here. There wasn't enough quality wood in that area to begin with. And where could Noah have found enough workers? How did he pay them? It would have cost the equivalent of billions of dollars. Even Elon Musk would have a hard time paying for that. And a wooden boat that size would not be seaworthy. It would have sunk almost immediately.
How did Noah summon all the animals from around the world? It's true that many species migrate seasonally between two known points (usually a place in the temperate zones and one in the tropics), but how would they locate the exact spot where the Ark was? Did they have a GPS? Many of the larger ones are herd animals (such as elephants). Could Noah have persuaded a male and a female to depart from the rest of the herd, and to set out for someplace that they had never been to before? How could they have navigated across thousands of miles of difficult, treacherous, unknown terrain, all on their own? As they approached the Ark, they'd be hunting, fighting, and killing each other. That's what animals do. Imagine trying to herd all of them up a gangplank and then inside a strange, dark, wooden structure totally unlike anything that they've ever seen. Good luck with that. Remember, these are wild animals, not domestic pets or livestock.
Most large animals need more space than just a tiny cage where they can barely even stand up--and this was for an entire year. Did the Ark have enough grazing land for all the herbivores? Imagine an Ark with a ranch onboard. Animals need room to roam and play.
We still haven't identified all the animal species on Earth, but to hold all of them and sustain them, the Ark would have to be at least several miles long and over a mile wide--many times larger than the biggest ship ever built. Moreover, for any species to survive and sustain itself requires more than just one male and one female. This is basic biology.
Do Scriptures say that there was only one continent prior to the big flood? If so, then at least 90 percent of all these species simply would not exist. They obviously evolved on separate continents. Most of them would not have survived otherwise. And the Book doesn't explain how the continents all drifted apart to where they are today--a process that takes hundreds of millions of years, not just a few months.
How did Noah gather up all the plants? The Ark would have to provide space for every plant species on the entire planet (imagine having a giant sequoia on board). Could the Ark hold enough plants to repopulate the entire world? After the flood ended, and all the animals disembarked, the land would have been totally barren. Did Noah and his sons travel all over the world, transplanting all the trees, bushes, vines, grasses, fungi, and other plants exactly where they should have been? How did they know which plant belonged in each location? Did they have a detailed map of the world? Otherwise, there would be literally nothing at all for herbivores to eat. And when a carnivore ate one of the herbivores (before it had a chance to bear young), then that particular species would become extinct. For example, suppose a lion ate one of the two surviving zebras, leaving the other with no mate. The zebra species would soon have been gone forever. And after disembarkation, how would any animal know where to go? Did someone guide them to their future abodes?
If Noah and his family were the only surviving humans, then humanity would have died out, too. The gene pool would have been far too small to keep our species going.
Did this one family give rise to all of the humans in the world today? Think of all the different ethnic and linguistic groups of people, from the Inuit to the Aborigines, the pygmies, the Polynesians, the Chinese, the Arabs, the Anglo-Saxons, the Tibetans, the Slavs, the Greeks, the Berbers, the tribes of the Amazon, and the Scandinavians, to name only a few. Were they all descended from Noah and his family? That process would have taken tens of thousands of years. And if we were all Noah's descendants, then all of our languages would be a lot more similar than they are today.
This is a children's fairy tale. It may be plausible to a five-year-old kindergarten kid, but I don't know how any educated adult could believe it.
Spot on with your summary. Let's not forget the copious amounts of shit that had to be cleaned up on a daily basis, and deposited all thru just "one" window. Yep, great story for 5 year olds. Amazing that grown is still believe it!

The configuration of the presented Ark is a joke. People from that Era used boats called "Oricles" They were round bowl shaped boats, that were really built. The real Ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. 1 Royal cubit equals approximately 20 " long. I believe that there weren't enough trees with dimensions large enough to build a ship like you see today. I believe that the Ark was made up of a large number of Oricles that were tied together to give it the above stated size. The largest Oricles of that day, would not be over 20' in diameter. They would be built with long lengths of limbs, reeds, etc and then the bottom would be covered in pitch to make it waterproof. Strong floors would be put in the bottoms, where animals, grains, food and water could be stored. Taking into consideration, the suggested size of the Ark in Royal Cubits; 300 cubits would equal approx. 600' L
50 cubits in width would equal approx. 100'. These sizes would suggest that 15- 20' in Dia. Oricles could be used for the length. 5- 20' Oricles could be used for the width. This suggest that total of approximately 75- 20' Oricles tied together would be really close to the size that the Ark is stated to be. This method seems more viable than even a ship design of the 18th century!

Yes, the explanation that "the animals came to him" solves the problem of how Noah got animals from around the world onto the ark. Now we have a whole new set of problems as a result.
It is 1000 miles of ocean from Australia to mainland Asia. Koalas can't swim.
And from there another 7000 miles over land to the Middle East. How did they navigate? We know they had no compasses. The overland trek would have taken 6 or 7 years. Koalas would have died before completing the trip.
And then there is the matter of food. Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves exclusively. There are no eucalyptus trees on the way.
And any 9 year old koala that happened to make it to the Middle East and survived the flood had another 8000 mile, 7 year journey return trip back.
Why are you applying the geography of the planet after the flood to before it happened? I.e. Australia didn't exist. 2 different worlds...
@@calvinsmith7575 The point I was making appears to have been lost on you. The point was that people make up reasons to explain something; their explanation is not only unsupported by any evidence, but it leads to even more things that now need to be explained.
You are making up the point about Australia not existing. There is no proof of that and lots of proof that it has existed for millions of years. So now explain how Australia came about in the last 4000 years.
- The aboriginal people have lived there continuously for at least 40,000 years. Explain this anomaly.
- There are rock wall paintings that are 35,000 years old. Explain this anomaly.
- Animals like marsupial tigers, kangaroos, koalas and quokkas have not spread out from Australia to mainland Asia, which they would be expected to do if Australia was attached to Asia, but which is expected if they were separated from Asia for millions of years and evolved independently. The same thing happens in islands all over the world like Madagascar. Explain this anomaly.
- Plate tectonics does not support Australia being joined to Asia any time in the recent past. To separate that quickly would have caused enormous volcanism, tsunamis and earthquakes, none of which is in the bible record or the natural record. Explain this anomaly.

Your logic is underpinned by a lot of unwarranted assumptions.
@@mmaimmortals To assume that a koala could make it to the Middle East and back would require logic underpinned by unwarranted assumptions, such as that the koala would live long enough, that it could physically accomplish the feat, and that it would be able to eat along the way. Here are the things you consider "unwarranted assumptions " but which you did not research yourself before saying that:
1. Sea distance: Koalas live in northern Australia. From Somerset on the northern tip of Queensland to the nearest part of the Asian mainland (Singapore) is 4400 km or 2732 miles (I was being very generous saying it was 1000 miles). Wildcare Australia says this regarding koalas’ swimming ability: “Although koalas can swim, if there are no assisted ways for a koala to climb out they will drown.” Koalas sometimes die when they fall into swimming pools because "if there are no assisted ways for a koala to climb out they will drown.”
2. Land distance: I said there was another 7000 miles to the Middle East. The distance from Singapore to Jerusalem is 7761 miles.
3. Time to take to get to the Middle East: Koalas are slow. From the Queensland Department of Environment and Science: “When koalas are on the ground, they walk slowly as they are poorly adapted to walking on the ground.” In addition, koalas sleep 20 hours a day. If a koala were to walk for 2 hours at 2 miles per hour and spend the other 2 hours looking for food and eating, then they would travel 4 miles per day. It would take 2000 days for a koala to walk 7700 miles, or 5.5 years, close enough to my figure of 6 years.
4. The matter of food. Koalas eat eucalyptus, and very occasionally, when eucalyptus is not available, will eat lophostemon, melaleuca, or corymbia.
- Eucalyptus are found in Australia, with a very few in New Guinea and Indonesia. There are none on the Asian mainland.
- Lophostemon are limited to a small area in Western and Northern Australia. There are none on the Asian mainland.
- Melaleuca are found on the east coast of Australia and New Guinea. There are none on the Asian mainland.
- Corymbia is found in Australia and a few surrounding islands. There are none on the Asian mainland. A koala would starve on the way.
5. Making the trip out and back. I said “...any 9 year old koala that happened to make it to the Middle East and survived the flood…” A koala would not be able to make it to the Near East as a newborn joey, as it takes one year to mature. So if one started out as a one-year old, it would be 7 years old when it got there. After a year on an ark, it would be 8 years old. Koalas live to be 10 to 12 years old. With the return trip taking about six years, the 8-year-old koala would be 14 by the time it returned. It would die before getting back.
That is just koalas. Ringtail possums, quokkas and tasmanian devils live shorter lives, and tasmanian devils would have an even longer trek than koalas. Please, please, please consider thinking critically about things like this.

The reasons are quite varied.
Domestication, agriculture, food supply, commercial trade, gifts, hunting, war, study, clothing, tools, medicine, accidental passenger, and on and on.
Your unwarranted assumption is that Australia was 4400 years ago where it is today.
The secularists have the continents all together at some point in the past, and so do many (not all) creationists.
You’re also assuming the Ark started in the ME. But there is no Biblical text or any other line of evidence to indicate this is true.
The Bible doesn’t say where the Ark started, only (approximately) where it ended.
If the continents were all together pre-Flood, and people moved animals all over the planet pre-Flood like they do today, then there is no way to know how far any particular kind of animal had to travel to get to the Ark.
Post Flood is a different story.
But, by actually reading the Genesis text, you might find that it implies that people were instructed to assist the animals in their dispersal.
By all means, think critically.
And avoid the unwarranted assumptions.
So after the flood noah managed to drop off kangaroos in Australia polar bears at the north pole , penguins at the south pole and elephants in india and africa . With the flood destroying all vegetation what did they eat and yet we went from 8 people to 8 billion in a little over 100 generations thats whole lot of shaking going on .
I understand theirs a book that contains over 350 flood stories from different civilizations all over the earth. And the Chinese written word for a boat looks like a boat. The Chinese written word for a ship is a boat with eight people on it.

Even if all the animals of the world were rounded up no one dares talk about how much food were required let alone the specialist food. Bamboo for pandas and gum trees for koalas, for example. Let someone work out how all this was done and jammed into a craft. When this story was told people only had a limited understanding of their world.
The animals could have been in a hibernation mode during their time on board the ark, which would have solved the problem of needing to be fed. There's nothing too hard for God!
Pandas are apart of the bear kind, it could be that pandas were not on board the ark at all but rather a different bear like the black bear. so no need for specialized food.
FYI: Bamboo and eucalyptus are not the natural diet of pandas and koalas. The other two answers are also good, but do yourself a favour and visit Ark Encounter. When you see it's immensity, you'll grasp how probable the storing of sufficient food was. And because the animals were juniors, their diet would've been considerably less.
And yes, the issue of food storage was tackled at the exhibit.
@@heatherlensink7208 So you believe in short term evolution of species, from time of the ark. I believe God's creation took a lot longer.
@@alfyr.e.meyerakaa.r.e.m.4434 Well you try and feed Pandas without 99% of their diet. However their digestive system is typical of a carnivore, so the remaining 1% of their diet can include eggs, small animals and carrion. Koalas eat a variety of eucalypt leaves and a few other related tree species, including lophostemon, melaleuca and corymbia species (such as brush box, paperbark and bloodwood trees)
What's the point of wondering whether it could be built when the whole idea is flawed in so many ways? Did Noah separate the prey from the predators? If so, what did the predators eat? How about reducing all fauna to two of each species - how would the genetics work? You'd be breeding animals back to their parents or siblings, and the result of that won't be good! And all the disease mechanisms - did he preserve those too? It's a sweet fairy tale for kids, and it may preserve a race memory of, say, tsunamis or rapid ice melts, but there's no need to wonder whether it happened in the way people two thousand or so years ago wrote in this story, because the whole idea is a myth. Nothing wrong with myths, by the way - they perform useful functions for humanity. Pandora's box is a myth - but people don't try to reproduce the box, or wonder what Hope looked like.

Had AIG really wanted to prove their Ark story was true, they could have filled their Ark Encounter Ark with 2 of every "kind" of animal and 7 pairs of every "kind" of clean animal and 7 pairs of every "kind" of bird, put 8 people on board, filled the ark with food and potable water for all crew and passengers and sealed it up for a year and 17 days, "to show how it was possible". Instead they create an expensive boondoggle that proves nothing except that they couldn't build it with only 4 men and 4 women and ancient bronze age tools, and without taxpayer assistance.
Point in fact, even if the highly doubtful possibility that they could prove all the "kinds" of animals could board the ship, AND that it could hold enough food and potable water (never mind space in the bilges for all that animal waste, and modern ventilation for all the methane produced). They could NOT show how the crew and passengers could survive AFTER they left the ship and entered a world where ALL LIFE WAS GONE, and the earth was sterile AND there was no fresh water. Nor any sources for fresh water because there was no snowpack to melt and produce it. The world had been covered to 5-1/2 miles deep (Mt Everest plus 15 cubits) with water that lasted the most part of a year and was highly polluted by all the debris of the catastrophic forces. (At a little more than 9 months the Dove could still find no place to land). AND they left the Ark in early spring (2nd month of Noah's 601st year), so no snowpack could even start until the next winter. No fish, no saltwater or freshwater plants, no algae, no insects, no microbial organisms or 'crawly things' to help repair the soil, and NO LISTED "MIRACLES" in the Bible to explain these issues away. The soil would have been contaminated by all the catastrophic turbulence that YECs claim to have happened to explain their make-believe pseudoscience explanations. Life would have lasted long enough for the animals to die of thirst and starvation before any crops could be harvested (or planted for that matter). NO life of any kind for years except just what came off the Ark. The carnivores MIGHT have lived a little while longer than the herbivores, but since YEC insists that there were no carnivores on the Ark, that isn't likely either.
Fill it full of creationists and seal it shut.
Well, they were able to exist on the ark until the day they opened the door, which means they had everything they needed on it. There is no reason to suspect that they didn't use it for shelter afterward for a while until they got things made that they needed.
There's no reason to think that there was no more rain (fresh water) or dew (fresh water) which they could have collected once the stores in the ark were gone.
@@ORSkie
There’s no reason to think any of it is true. In fact, Noah’s flood story is two similar stories woven together.
So it definitely isn’t true.
First, regarding the 5.5 miles deep water, it was briefly mentioned in this video that the Earth's geography was different before the flood. It wasn't fully explained because that's not the topic for this video. In short though, Before the flood, the Earth land masses looked like Pangaea. After the flood they looked like what you see today. The mechanism that caused the flood caused a cataclysmic reorganization of the Earth's geography in a very short time. Basically what I'm saying is Mt. Everest didn't exist before the flood and the mountains mostly likely were not that tall. So the flood waters didn't need to cover all the way of up 5.5 miles deep.
There are numerous videos on this channel as well as other channels, and there are numerous books and articles that explain the whole flood mechanism and process.
As for the other things you mentioned, this was a survival scenario. It's not farfetched the think that the animals weren't malnourished, but nourished enough to be able to survive. While it's very possible to have animals used as food for carnivores on board, it's also possible for carnivores to survive on a mixed diet. Again they may not have digested all of it properly and may have had some issues during their time on the ark and even shortly after, but again, the ark wasn't a place to thrive and be happy, it was a survival scenario.

None of us, everyone dies. “And fear not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him that is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
How did he feed the animals for a year?
How did he stop predation?
If any animals died from sickness or whatever, what happened to the species?
Where did all the water come from?
Where did all the water go?
Why did other civilizations not record the flood?
Where did he store the fresh water fish (this includes after the flood as all the lakes would have been salt water)?
Why didn't God just make new animals?
Why didn't God just prevent or not start the flood in the first place?
Why didn't God just make a fresh start, instead of going through all that trouble to achieve the same result?
What did the animals eat after they left the ark (the predators would have needed meat to eat and a lot of the plants would have been destroyed)?
How did the animals get back to their habitats?
We all know what happens when species are reduced to small numbers today. They usually go extinct. God would have had to make them immortal for at least a
few generations for the species to recover. Why would he go through all this trouble when he could have just clicked his fingers and made the world how he
wanted it. It still makes absolutely no sense even if you ignore that it's impossible from a scientific perspective.

My Sunday School teacher told me that Moses wrote Genesis. She went on to say that Moses couldn't go into the promised land because he didn't pray in Jesus name.
The flood story comes from Genesis (6-9). The Church used to think Moses wrote Genesis. Most pastors understand now, that a few people wrote the Torah. There is no evidence of a Man named Moses. Belief in the Inerrant Word of God is problematic from Genesis 1.
There was a similar story written about a thousand years earlier.
“I am Sargon, mighty king, king of Akkad. My mother was high priestess; my father, I did not know; my kin live in the highlands. My city was Azupirani, on the bank of the Euphrates River. My mother, the high priestess, conceived me; in secret, she bore me. She placed me in a basket of bundled reeds and sealed the opening with tar. She cast me onto a river from which I could not climb out.
But the river bore me up, and it carried me to Akki, a water-drawer. Akki the Water-drawer lifted me out while dipping his bucket; Akki the Water-drawer raised me himself as an adopted son; Akki the Water-drawer put me in charge of his date cultivation…”
I believe there is a God. I wish my Christian friends would learn who God is. Belief in the Errant Bible is a problem if you lack understanding and you live your life by Faith.
If I could, I would shatter your faith in Moses, the Church and the Hebrew Scriptures. I hope you will learn who God is and what he wants you to do. This is my prayer for you.
Your Sunday school teacher was off her meds apparently...
I think you're doing a great job for the most part but that in some cases you're reading your own ideas into the text. It says cubits, not royal cubits, so we should assume normal cubits making the ark 450 feet by 75 feet and 45 feet high. It doesn't mention a rudder or a bow, so we should assume that it was shaped like a box. Noah had 120 years to build the ark, plenty of time for him and his sons to build it by themselves. There's nothing it the text to indicate that he used hired help. What? he found people to help him and then he let them drown? People would have either mocked him or believed in the project and want to be part of it- and then would they not want to get on the ark themselves?
Where does it say Noah had 120 years to build the ark? I don’t see that in my Bible. Genesis 5:32 says, “after Noah was 500 years old he became the father of Ham, Shem, and Japheth.” Then in Genesis 6:14 God tells him to build the ark. Then, Genesis 7:6 tells us that Noah was 600 years old when the flood came. So, it sounds to me like he had less than 100 years to build it.
@@ChristinewithaC i was thinking of Genesis 6:3 but now that you mention it, your interpretation is probably more likely. At any rate, the hundred years would have been more than enough time to build the ark.
@@ChristinewithaC i am truly amazed that anyone still support the fairy tales of the bible when one reads that people reached the age of nearly 1000 years.
@@ChristinewithaC Think about this Christine. 25:000 trees cut by hand. Let’s just suppose it was actually being built. It took over a hundred years to build. The trees were fresh not seasoned. @@paulcohen6727 So you think this story actually happened. Please explain this to me. The three sons and wives were left to repopulate the earth with nice people because he didn’t like the first ones he “created”. That didn’t work out to well did it. So the boat landed in Turkey. The kangaroos and wallabies took a packed lunch and hopped 5000 miles to Australia and the polar bears left for Antarctic ect. As you know the three sons separated to repopulate the planet. As far as dogs, cats, horses and the like, they would have been the base breeds that were bred AFTER the flood. Many of the breeds that we have now, did not exist.
Wow...to think there was a T-Rex right next to cows on the ark...
how could they breed different animals after the flood , are you suggesting evolution ... either the animals were already there before the flood or someone is lying
@@kawasakikev8905 This guy in the video said there were dinosaurs on the ark...the ark that is clearly way too small to hold two of every animal let alone two of every dinosaur (some of which were nearly as large as the ark itself).

@@diddsdaddiddsdad6865 I wonder if the ship would have been large enough even then? Also, who fed them milk (the mammals anyways) and all that? If this ark was real and this all went down like the Bible says, I'd giving anything to see that feat of engineering and zoo keeping.
This is truly one of the best videos I have seen on TH-cam in a long time. I would love to sit and debate with yourself, fairly and professionally with respect shown for both sides, as this 18 minute video raised so many contentions that outright show that the ark is nothing more than a man building a big boat thousands of years ago (if it happened at all). Due to the primitive mindset back then, a huge boat would have seemed almost supernatural, and this is to not even involve the sheer space required for these "kinds" of animals. Lastly the term "kind" is so vague as to be irrelevant as most theologians cannot even agree what it means and cannot reliably apply it to life today... so yeah, genuinely any time I would jump at the chance to visit, bathe in the culture that you have built where you are; and to hopefully video debate about this contentious issue.
Warm regards either way,

Check that one out if you haven’t seen it. It’s scary and makes you understand how indoctrination works👍
I like how the narrator condemns some people for not knowing how large the ark would have been, then admits the length of a cubit is unknown.
How could Noah roundup all the animals, come on seriously! The CREATOR of the UNIVERSE and ALL MANKIND gave Noah the blueprint on how to build the ark! With those things in mind gathering all the animals needed would be nothing for God to accomplish. If you don't believe what the bible says in its entirety then you're calling GOD ALMIGHTY a liar, I'd rethink that and repent. The question of God creating the universe or everything just popping up out of nowhere and in PERFECT ORDER out of chaos (Big Bang) is an easy choice, GOD. I can see that we live in a created world and Universe, especially now that we've studied things unseen with microscopes and high powered telescopes . We CANNOT CREATE one SINGLE THING WITHOUT the materials that GOD GAVE US! Sure both are unimaginable for our tiny minds, however the bible does say “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Ps. 19:1). It is impossible to live on this planet without recognizing God, as nature and the heavens are proof to His existence. You'll be held accountable whether or not you say nobody told me about God. Explain why the world's oceans have boundaries and don't completely flood the world, you can't because God Almighty put them in place.
A god can speak the universe into existence, but needed to drown the world to rid it of evil? Makes perfect sense! /s
The story of Salvation was not over at the flood, buddy. Please seek out God, believe the gospel and Repent. I am saying this out of love.
@@cjcRacing Wake me up when a real god responds. You parrot the same crap that's been said for thousands of years. Yawn.

@saintnash1 My heart goes out to you, man. No one seeks for God, especially if you don't think you need him. Our life expectancy is roughly in the range of 70 to 100 years. Death is wages. We are being paid in death for our natural sin against a Holy and righteous God because of our decisions in this life. Jesus came to suffer and die for you, my friend. The last words Jesus said on the cross was, "it is finished." You dont have to earn your way into heaven because the debt had already been paid for you. All you have to do is repent and believe that God in the flesh came down to reconcile himself to us so that we may be saved. Our God died for us. That's how loving and compassionate he is. I believe the Bible is the word of our God because it is a collection of historical documents written down by eye witnesses during the lifetime of many other eyewitnesses. Plus, the thousands of prophecies that have come to pass historically. History is not repeatable, nor observable, and not repeatable. On top of all of that, i was spiritually dead inside before i was saved, i was living my life how ever i wanted and I didn't think I needed God to save me. But God did save me and supernaturally changed my hardened heart to a heart of flesh and into a loving and kind person that still struggles with sin every day. I don't know why God uses such a sinful man like me to convey this message to you but thats just how our God works. I am praying right now that you will get revelation in Jesus's name. Amen.

If you believe Pangea (one continent) existed only 6,000 years ago and split off over 2,500 years then you’re very mistaken

It takes a tremendous amount of faith to believe life and all the complexity/diversity of it started on it's own . Look around you at life, REALLY LOOK. It becomes very very obvious that a Creator is the only truly logical answer .
Saying "I don't know how it all happened, therefore God must have done it!" is not remotely logical. In fact, it is actually just a very lazy "God of the gaps" answer.

@@YoungEarthCreation Nah, not triggering anything.
It's just fuqing hilarious that people actually believe this absolute nonsense.
You have to no absolutely NOTHING about our biodiversity or biology as a whole to believe in the flood myth..
Actually one has to ignore biology and geology to accept the Big Bang or evolution. DNA science has shown us that there is no natural path for evolution from a simple cell to complex life as mutations almost if not always leads to death and destruction of dna. No mechanism of adding information to DNA. There is no natural mechanism to take matter and it turn to life. Zero. Life is devolving not evolving. Nor is there a single example of one kind of animal changing to another kind.
@@Jewonastick yes, of course, people believe it because we’ve actually studied the subject. Unlike people that are just opinionated without any further investigation.

If one were to understand nature then you'd know that the physics of hogging and sagging make the ark impossible.
