As long as the BMS still has the ability to cut the power, it should be ok, but since you're bypassing it, i doubt it. Look, i don't want to be a buzzkill here, but you have to consider how these things operate. If a single cell voltage drops and it's internal resistance increases while you are pulling that amount of amps, then that cell will heat up considerably. If the cell reaches around 70 deg C, the electrolyte will start to decompose, and that's bad news, additionally, if it's voltage drops too much, depending on how this pack is arranged, it might experience a polarity inversion, or simply just an over-discharge, while still shoving a bunch of amps through that one cell. If you are unlucky, the pack will literally become a big fireball. Again, i don't want to be that guy, but i'm just saying this so you don't get hurt. Lithium batteries are very finicky things, and they need to be properly managed in order to be reasonably safe. A better approach would be to offset the measurement at the shunt where the BMS measures the output current. There will be one or multiple big traces with a shunt in them (a 0 ohm resistor or something else), from that, there will be two measurement points that go to an ADC. That's where the BMS measures the voltage drop across the shunt. That's how it calculates the output current. You could offset that measurement by making the trace thicker (add solder over the trace), adding a second shunt resistor, adding a high resistance to ground on the first measurement pickup (that will require some fiddling), etc etc. There are multiple ways of doing it, but all of them will be safer than this.
It totally has a louder electric wine which is DoPe!!But I wonder Why didnt the company leave the connection/contacts in the same position as stock.. Its just extending the wires would lead to issues in the future from a steady power connection stand point, No?
I spoke to my wife today .... I'm probably going to sell my daily pickup truck and buy one of those bikes as my daily and just use the family tahoe when needed
And does the little tuner box have temperature sensors for the batteries if not sensors for the battery and the motor would be pretty cool since you're revving it higher
Can you put a bicycle style seat like the Enduro/ Stealth Bomber (Alibaba E-bikes China), on the sur-Ron ? I'm 6'5" and that seat is farther back and can be raised or lowered !!

jesus my scooter has a 45 amp controller, I can't imagine what a 450 amp controller could do! How would you even power that, a 20S20P Samsung 25S 18650 pack or better yet, a 20S10P Samsung 40T 21700 pack, lol I don't think my motors would handle that it heh
shortening the life of battery considerably by asking 130 amps from it. How much power can the belt drive handle? I push 12 kw thru my cafe racer...but its a big hubmotor. cheers!
Yea but the price increase on the surron at that point would still be about the same. You just wouldn't have to install it. Its not like they are gonna add a larger battery and not up the price. Plus if you buy the 72v battery then you have the 60v battery as a back up ready to go.

Can I put one of these on a nb power mtx hub motor and a sine wave 80 amp controller with a tft ukc1 color display and a 48 v battery on a 48-72v 3000w motor for a 72v and maybe even a 96 or 120v battery with a 1800w voltage booster from Amazon to get the most speed out of it?

i have this bike but when i was riding it , i felt the handling is not that good specialy no stability at front part of the bike, did you do anything for that? for example if you ride a super soco tc you will feel super confidence and 10 times better handling than sur-ron.

If nxt SOC is at 88% and battery at 100% I'am assuming that's because you chose the 72v contoller config, or is there still some asi programing problems that Alan needs to iron out? It would be a bit annoying if staying with 60v battery and some of the controller settings are off cant be adjusted.. Ie state of charge and range calculations are off?

pete james check out the 2014 and newer Chevy Spark. The 2014 has 400ft lbs of torque but the are computer limited to 35 or something otherwise it just shreds the tires. Cool little cars

Stock power = 6.9hp
Bac4000 = 11.8hp
Gain = 71%

Speedwise, wind hits you quite hard, needs small wind deflectors on sides and small screen will make a big difference I'd say.

8500w is not 12hp so add the motor efficiency that bike is probably putting 10kw or more from the battery
