Looks like a great flight. But, give that to a subscriber and get you an Orbit Saint Pro. 😆 I put one in the bag about 3 weeks ago, and it's probably my new favorite disc. Game changer. And, Kristin can't be wrong!!!
Love my cicadas. Doesn't go quite as far as my s line fd and a little more understable but great for smashing in tailwinds or hyzer flips in woods for me. The discs that are similar in the discraft line up would be the passion (8 5 1 1). They don't feel the same at all but they do fly very similarly. They also have the mantis which is 8 4 2 2. Uli loves his mantis but I always found them to be unpredictable. Then the stalker which is more like an FD. Prob my favorite discraft 7 speed (7 5 1 2). It's fantastic. They also have the zombee (6 5 1 1). Very good underrated disc that flys true to the numbers. So they have quite a few in and around what the cicada is.
There is a couple here that I actually haven’t thrown. But I recently reviewed passion and it stood out to me as being very similar! I think I reviewed a mantis a year or two ago and I remember it being more stable than I was expecting and I never got the flight I thought I would. Are some of those quite a bit more stable than you expect? Like that side of what you’re saying is unpredictable? Can’t tell if you’ll have a more stable or less stable one?
@DaddyDelpDiscGolf for the mantis, yes. I used to have a couple and each one was very different. I did have one I loved and of course I threw it into a lake. But there are just better discs in the discraft line up to steer away from the mantis. The athena is an outstanding 7 spd stable flyer so no need for an 8 spd mantis. The stalkers, passions and cicadas I've had all fly true.
Mine has the same parting line on the edge, still get great shots with it
Okk, I was curious if it was actually the mold or just a weird cut parting line
My z and big z both have it
My ESP does not tho
I have the Cicada in ESP plastic and it's pretty true to the numbers. A little more under stable. I heard the Lat 64 Brave is good too in that slot.
A guy I played with a couple weeks ago had a brave and it looked nice!

😂 I do need to try some of those. That’s a disc I’ve never thrown before
