- My uncle sent this grinder to me for a restoration. It looks simple but need time to do it.
I hope you find something useful & enjoy this video!
I am happy to receive your feedback, advice, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I apologize for the mistake if I have made in this restoration !!!
**I still keep some parts, I want to save the world's environment**

First time i see gear show repairing a non electrical tool! Can't wait to watch till the end..
you can watch him repairing some old scissors too! and a vise as well
Ok i checked...now i think i've almost watched every single video😂
Please keep making more videos. I had surgery last week and I love watching your videos. They're like surgery for tools. 😁
Speedy recovery, Nathan. Godspeed.
Love the color good job
One of the best parts: he uses the tools that have been restored, and they are now looking so good!
Hi Gear Show 👋👋👋 today the master’s hands did their best 👌🏽 awesome restoration hand grinder 👍👍👍💣✌🏻
That drill-lathe looked terrifying
"I feel not good with this way" - I have to agree.
He managed to get the result he needed without a normal lathe, and the piece of wood did not fly into his forehead, which means he won.
Incredibly ingenious makeshift lathe for handle. Salute! The small shaft could perhaps be bushed into the castings for a better fit. Try 0.002 Brass shim stock in the bores? You nave made it better than factory offered. Congrats!
Gear Showsan, your power tool restoration skills have always been impressive, but I really enjoyed watching your talent today. Turning your drill press into a lathe was genius yet incredibly scary. In the future, please consider testing the old paint for lead, before sandblasting. It's much safer to remove with paint stripper and then sandblast. Excellent results on the resto!
Thank you for sharing :)
But where do the lithium batteries go? 😁
Unfortunately, not today 😂
you, the user, is the lithium batterie.. lol
Or the electrical cord..... They don't build them like that anymore.
It's a hand grinder. He eats them.
i have exactly the same hand crank grinder as that..same condition, full of rust inside out..
waiting for weekend to work on it..
thanks for sharing.. 👍👍👍
you made the world's first vertical lathe 😄
Exellent work gear show i like your videos😊😊😊😊
Really cool departure from your usual stuff. I really enjoyed it! Great restoration!
20:06 when V-tec kicks in, yo. :))
😁😅😅
I laughed a lot with that
And it is reversible too... Thumbs Up!
Oh sick, I just got the same exact grinder! I don’t know if the red color mine has is the correct one, but it also has a pretty neat wheel guard that uses the other tool rest hole.
Good thing to see something new
Круто!!! Спасибо за видео!!!
.Excellent work👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing
Love the lathe technique you did there, guess what I'm making, great idea. And wonderful work.
super nice 😎
"I make a new one" .... Sorry wrong channel
Hahahaha you are right dude😂
😅
@@weedwacker1716 I seriously play a game with myself where I try to identify the channel without looking at it if possible. I too subscribe to most of them. Unless they've got a really obvious logo or something it can be difficult.
That is my mechenics channel and a awsum channel
Like the video
Then
Enjoy the AWESOME restoration 😎
Best Regard
and looking forward for more of your great restoration videos 🤩
Dişli ile petal ilave edilebilir uygun pozizyonda iki el ile bilemede kolaylaşır
bonnnsoir mr gear merci pour la video c'est instructif felicitation
Also don't get me wrong, that drill chuck lathe was sketchy as all get out. But it was also pretty genius. Nice job! I also wouldn't have thought to use a welding magnet and a zip tie in place of a drill vise. Well done!
It seems you have a new favorite tool
*insert flat screw bit with impact driver hahaha
Haha yes...
That looks sick🔥
Damn the drill press lathe really had me nervous
Nice drill hack👌 12:16
Well you make everything so neat and then a bad bracket. Why not a beautiful one
never showed the sandblasting :(
No sandblasting I think, just wire wheel on that gear
@@perludus yes sandblasting 6:52
Sandblasting to SP6 is now outlawed by Google.
SugarGliderDude ah yes so brief I missed it
Интересными оказались: закалка и токарные работы на сверлильном станке.
Покраска опечалила...
Omg the lathe drill press😂😂😂
Hi! I really like your clips, it's great, your clips help me a lot about repairing machines, I really thank you for that. You can film the clip of a nail gun, slightly, sincerely thank you, wish you health.
nice new toy you got there :)
1:18 Ah yes, the ever-present Franken-bit. It's always there in a pinch, but not always the best thing to do. Just the most expedient sometimes. When you have to adapt your adapter, you know it's going to be a long day in the shop. :)
Good job men
Oddly satisfying
Glad you enjoyed!
Muito bom🇧🇷👏👏
I liked the lathe on which you made the wooden handle. But this sight is not for the faint of heart.
Good stanok 👍👍👍
Cool grander
The work you do is truly amazing, but I want to say to you, be safe, alot of stuff you work on, has lead based paint, you should test to make sure cause that stuff will mess you up, inhaling it and skin transfer, also careful of any material as it may contain Asbestos, and we know what that stuff does to your lungs.
good video
Look his arm is going the SPEED of LIGHT
Любитель напильников. Извращенец.
We have that one. We still use it.
Nice
You are amazing, I want to find a mentor that can show me the way.
Es un verdadero placer verte trabajar
Give your drift punches a very, very slight point. That way, they won't drift and they will purchase on the part you're trying to push better. It doesn't need to be much, just enough so you can notice it with your eyes. You don't want to do this with sub 3 mm ones tho, as they might chip, that and the pieces you punch at that size aren't as hard to push.
Un gran cambio
bro i dont know why people dont subscribe your channal your content is too good, tysy tube is not even in half of your content and he has large number of scribers
That's how it goes. I make videos that no-one watches
👍
Is tha some kind of clutch you used with the impact drill that lessens the speed rpm? Thanks.
I'm disappointed with you did not show the sandblasting. That is the most satisfying part of the restoration.
Can you make garage tour please
Is that Hammerite emerals green bro??😂✅🇲🇾
👍👍😎🍺🍩🔧🔨
Ah another rusty piece of junk turned into something beautiful

👏👏
Sent it to my mechanic they will be like new 🤔
Haha yes, you are right, He is awesome.
nice job, but I'm afraid that the handle screw will unscrew easily
WELL IT IS BRUSHLESS
У моего дедушки было подобное лет 40 назад!
❤ Bolehkah gerinda ini menjadi milik saya
I have exactly the same grinder that is in the video. It's a bit old and and have some little rust and the handle is missing.
Oh that was coincident...
I can't send a picture of it in youtube though.
You did good, but I was hoping you were going to take it to the next level. I was disappointed the tool rest wasn’t retro. But that’s on me not you! Keep up the good work.
5:31 it's holy water
I like the part of sand blasting why you remove it? 🙁🙁
"Rusted bolts? Do you have any idea how many impact drivers i have?"
Is that a new label?
Just clean?
11:53 - 12:17 Так делать нельзя! Вы нам нужны! Без рук останитесь! You can’t do this! We need you! Dangerous for health!
I don't like the color, personally not a fan of hammerite-like paint. But other than that it's a very good job.
which grease (used on gear) are You using?
What is that?
камень надо было подровнять
Yes, thank you suggestion!
Смазки мало заложил.
4:20 :-)
🇵🇱 👍
I think you should rebalancing gear after remove casting marks.
Manufacturer did not even do gear balancing in the first place. The gear was rough cast and no balancing holes or divots were seen. The gear was simply machined into a gear from the cast and unless you can hand crank that wheel to spin at hundreds of rpm why would you bother?
Is your first language English?
English is my second language.
@@gear_show May i ask what the first is?

🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
You didnt fix it. The small gear needs a build up.
If I write in Russian you will understand the author😅
I'll grind my ass later with this

Hello
Hello!
Teh
it looks pretty bad... sorry, but it's not a "restoration"
What would You call a restoration? This was totally disassembled, castings cleaned up, new parts made as required and reassembled and painted with care and detail. Clones not available.

первый!
Great 👍
