Isn't there a baby photo prop version of this? I thought I saw one but I can't find it. I love this pattern and have a couple of toddlers that I would love to make them for.
What size hook did you use? I found the pattern from yarnspiriations and it says hook size H and the link to the pattern you gave says size J. I want to make one for my granddaughter so I want to get it right

Hi I am currently working on you mermaid tail blanket for my daughter and I was wondering if it was possible to not close the whole blanket from the back can I still follow the pattern if I choose not to slip stitch and the end of each row or if there is a specific way I have to end the rows? I hope I am making sense with what I’m asking
i love this and ts simple! i always wanted to make a mermaid blanket but when it became a big thing of course thats how i found out about it but i put it off at the time, i had a co worker when i worked at starbucs who crochets and she made a ton of these to sell on etsy doing simple patterns or even crocodile stiches. the more ork she put into it from what i saw went to her baby she was pregnant with at the time of course but yea i loved it but a i said i put it off for reasons i dont even know why lol my daughter was 2 at that point and now shewill be be 5 in august so i finally was like "she will be in school soon, and her birthdya is coming up not to mention now im home more after having my 8 month old son i have more time to knit and crochet i wanna make her something i can maybe giftit to her fo her birthday but say its for a cousin if she happens to see mme working on it"
i have been going on this crochet run with red heart super saver ombres im trying to make each color into ablanket, actually the riar rose pattern from fiberflux is th one i followedand i made my daughter that anemone color. and i have also made scuba, sea coral, and the grey tone i forget the name . but i also decided to takea break from tat pattern to do other things plus the place ive been getting the ombre yarns where i live were always stocked each time i went and got more however last timei went to the store they sold out of each color, which i was suprised but sad lol cause i thought i was the only one buying this yarn there lol but i found 3 skeins left 2 of the tru blue color and 1 spearmint. which i got and then i got ahold of the bernat pop in the color pop art. which i never used that one yet and i was able to find 3 skeins of pop art with the same dye lot luckily and they were selling it for $3 a piece so i got those as well. and i was looking for a pattern to used that color but when i came across this video i saw the blue blaze color from the pop. but with pop art i didnt think it would look i guess "mermaid like" with that colorway but last night i was up till 3am trying to figure out what to make and if i can do the patterns im intrested in by doing a sample. i forgot about my spearmint ombre. so thats currently whatim gonnatry and work with to make theis for my daughter. and with summr here pretty much and her birthday being in summer i think it would be perfect for me to make this now before i put it off again and while my daughter is still young enough to love the mermaid look, i love mermaid things now and im 24 but she could be totally different then me when she is my age so i gotta use her current likes to my advantage, i also wanna make her he unicorn sack i saw mikey from crochet crowd make too. i saw it recommended to me and put it in a watch later cause i definalty wanna make that for my daughter too since that is themajor thing for her rightnow, my little pony and just unicorns in general she loves lol.
i might even make this for my fiancee's sister she loves mermaids too and i can pictureher wearing this any chance she had lol i made her a few blankets already and its funny cause she just get blownaway i can make things like that lol so of course to feed my ego i give her moreblankets lol im joking but yea i think i will try that as well even my little sister and my neices i can try to make them one also.
thank you for the pattern i love it and i do wanna try making it in that blue blaze whenever i am able to get ahold of it in storesor online if i have to go to that as a last resort. love ordering things online espcially yanr but i get way too excited and impatient like a kid 24 days before christmas lol

I give up on printing the instructions. Every time I try there is some writing on the top of every page that goes over the instructions and you can't read them.
