  • Kidnappers have seized more than a thousand students and staff from schools in a series of raids across northern Nigeria. The wave of abductions has had devastating consequences for the country, which already has the highest number of children out of education anywhere in the world. Parents face extortionate demands in exchange for the freedom of their sons and daughters, and many families in Africa's most populous nation are now too afraid to send their children to class.
Mayeni Jones travels across north western Nigeria to meet those affected and find out what's fuelling Nigeria's kidnap crisis.

Should we act like it isn’t the people in power stealing these children and collecting the ransom? 🙄
In the kidnapping of the greenfield university students, the parents together raised 180 million Naira and 12 motorcycles before they were released.
The police didn’t do a thing! The parents had to nominate a representative to negotiate with the “bandits”.
When the money was released to the bandits, and the day of release of the students was set, THE POLICE WERE THR FIRST TO GET THERE TO COLLECT THE CHILDREN BEFORE THE PARENTS!!
    Do we see the pattern??
Who will the 180 million and 12 motorcycles go to??
While the negotiation was going on, they kept increasing the price as the days went by! They told them not to bother calling the police. The police also barely responded.
A friend of ours sold every single thing he had to raise his quota for his son to be released.
My theory: keep the people poor, get the money, use that same money during election to campaign.
The Devil’s biological children are on earth.

This is the same thing their ancestors did for money and guns during chattel slavery. I aee it has not stopped. Unfortunately karma is a real thing. Who does this to their own people?

It's a vestige of colonialism but also a way to prevent one people from being officially favored over another. Given all the different ethnic groups picking one of their languages to be official would been seen negatively by those outside that group.

If they not paying ransom, then what are they doing to get the kids back?

•Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. There is no other intermediary. May Jesus Bless you, trust Him, give your life - and He will take care of it :pray Convert yourself and believe in the Gospel - Romans 10 8-10 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a](A) that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare(B) with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”(C) and believe(D) in your heart that God raised him from the dead,(E) you will be saved.(F) 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
