This is mind boggling to me, I feel like terry would have seen it as heresy, but all things considered to be able to complete a fully playable game at all on temple os while not being terry Davis is incredibly impressive and I would like to hope that even as cantankerous as he could be he would have seen the value in this.
He wasn't very orthodox and compared some of his own systems to stuff considered very occult, like Ouija. I feel he would have appreciated this, honestly. The whole point to him is that this OS is god's 3rd temple and in his mind the divinity was built into coding language he wrote for it. He was fairly unpredictable though due to the issues he suffered from, so who knows.
Wrong, Terry probably would've loved this. TempleOS was created to be god's temple, but it was also created to be experimented and toyed with. There's a reason the OS runs on ring zero, it's fun. It lets you experiment with the environment as much as you see fit, modify the OS to your heart's content and make your own projects. If you ever boot up tenpleOS as well, you'll see it has a car racing game. I doubt Terry would view minecraft as heretical when he personally shipped F1 in his OS
This is really one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen. The “God can play it” feature is really unexpectedly, profoundly horrifying. This is art
No i love it it's adorable i dunno why but seeing the little guy play the game is idk i just love it i wish someone had a longplay of sped up god gameplay
Thanks for keeping Terry and his work alive. I think he would have initially hated this, but who knows. Incredible work navigating that OS. You are one of a very very short list of people now lol
I can only imagine the sheer amount of time and effort that went into this. You decided you wanted to do something difficult and unique, and then went: "I would like to suffer, as well." This deserves a like and sub for sure.
I wish Terry could have seen this, would have loved to see him play it and review it. Whether he would have liked it, or hated it let loose a stream of N-words after 5 seconds of gameplay. Cool stuff though, glad TempleOS gets some love, it's a fascinating entity,
You could've made the most basic single screen builder. But no. You made a complete visual day night cycle, proper world generation, working TNT. Absolute madlad.
Why? This is exactly what terry wanted people to do with templeOS, playing around with computers like back in the C64 days. The god part might be a sticking point, but if its just based on the words from god system terry already made I feel like he would be ok with it.
Terry would smile if he knew that his work continues to get software support years after his death. And then he'd call you slurs and insult your level of experience. And then smile again.
Incredible. GOD did some stuff on the surface and then blew a hole into the Earth and started digging down to HELL, planting trees and building ladders (for the sinners). But notice he never climbed back up. Perhaps he is still in HELL, ever moving deeper.
Hey, thanks! I started back in July and finished late December. I wasn't working on it consistently because I have more games in the works, and also had to learn the operating system while at it. So maybe like 3 to 4 months?

i love that the game looks like it fits right in with the other templeos programs. there’s something about that visual style that’s very recognizable
Thank you for noticing! I put a great load of effort into making it fit right in.

Mad respect for even trying to do something on TempleOS, not to mention fully working build of the game that fits with main aesthetic
It's super easy to develop for. Terry made it to be fun.
