Noticed the blower making the squealing sound. It will eventually start screaming. The builders love to enclose FCU. Those LG ducted units have got their issues. Great video JMT. It’s a beautiful thing!
Those blowers date back to 2012. Their time will soon come to an end sounding like that. I agree with you. Always tough to get to. Thank you! Haha thats right, that's a beautiful thing right there 😂🔧⚡️
Love these videos JMT! Please keep making videos at this building because I love the VRF content you put out. The duct design was flawed from the start because these units should have sealed air returns with plenums but I guess they didn’t do that because it would cost too much. Now theyre eating the cost of your labor cleaning these units and the compressor replacements. Should have more access on top of that, this is a very flawed building.
@@richardc1983 yeah, I was also told that these filters shouldn’t be used as the main filter because it’s not as dense as other filters. I’m not sure if this is true but I was told by Mitsubishi that the filters that come with the unit should only be used as a secondary filter basically as a cleanup. The Mitsubishi filters look similar like the lg ones in this video
When lg first entered the uk market in mid 2000 they never bothered to colour code some of the plugs for cost savings so mixing them up when refitting was a real issue 😂
In order for the communications line to have command signals sent across it, you need to be reading it as you are giving the unit a command(setpoint change, on/off, fan speed, etc). You were just getting a steady 12v signal on it since it had no need to be communicating with the thermostat at the time.
That makes sense. Thank you very much for all your input regarding this as this is something I'm currently learning as I go along. Stay tuned for new videos every week! 🙏🔧⚡️
Filters not tight in place on the indoor units? Due to the fans and indoor now becoming clogged by dust unit is probably forever ran in high fan mode which will in turn wear the motor bearings out.
Nope. There are little gaps and the filter itself is slightly warped so dust makes it past the filter. I hear that. The bearings on all the units really sound terrible. They are on the way out for sure. They all date back to 2012. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week! 🔧⚡️
@JumpermanTech I've got lg ducted units myself and first thing I saw was the poorly fitted filter. Even when you get them in that filter style allows too much fine dust to pass through. I've got pleated filters in now which help a lot. Bearings shot because of air flow issues so run in high fan to try over come, eventually fans block.
@AdamsServices89 I am a professional in the HVAC/R trade but correct, I have other videos where I install LED lights and do fun projects which would be considered DIY. Thanks for watching!
Great Video. Good Job and Nice Work. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend. Tell chris your helper for me. I'm say Hi ^_^. He is working hard and good helper ^_^
Thank you my friend! You're very welcome and thanks for watching. I said hello to Chris and he says hello back. He is and he is! Have a great weekend 🔧⚡️
We are here in America, and the fahrenheit scale is what people are used to. The rest of the building is set to fahrenheit, so each room should match as requested by the engineer. Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

Nothing wrong with using ceiling void as the return air however fane should not get as dirty as that and the missing filters says it all.

My god those indoor fans were disgusting!
I hate this kind of units, difficult to reach and to work on. What a way of overcomplicating things
Excusme sir , why you no fixied ? Just Change pcb ?
LG makes some of the most shitty equipment out there.
